That’s my evening entertainment sorted! I love that Helen & Martin keep it simple and make it real. No over choreographed vlogs. Just genuinely authentic and informative posts.
Looking forward to the next instalment. In the meantime, continue having a wonderful time 👏🏽

Thanks very much that's really kind of you and thanks for watching. Best wishes Helen and Martin.
So beautiful and I totally agree with your love of Spain and the wonderful Spanish people. Enjoy your holidays guys, it’s lovely to be following your journey. Stay safe and have fun.
Hi Mike and Donna , we love the Spanish , they are just great people and like us they like their football. Thanks for watching , best wishes H and M
Hi guys great video. We just arrived home yesterday from a 5 day trip to Alicante and unfortunately the rain never stopped. We weren’t in our van but flew over to visit family. He estado aprendiendo español durante los últimos cinco años así que mientras allá podía practica mi español mucho. Espero que disfrutes el resto de tu viaje y tengo ganas de ver el próximo video.
The rain fall has been unprecedented there's no doubt it and we're sorry to hear your family trip coincided with the downpour. Local news are reporting the most rain fall for 72 years and local opinion suggests the reservoirs were desperate for the reserves. Thankfully it looks like its passed now and the sunshine is returning. I hear my liver signing with joy as I type, at least we won't have to sit in the bars as much. Thanks for watching and commenting , it means a lot to us Best wishes Helen and Martin.
Great vlog both even the dodgy weather doesn’t dampen the spirits when you’re in a place you love, thanks for showing us ❤️
Thanks and you're right a bit of rain won't make us bow our heads. Thanks for watching guys best wishes Helen and Martin
Always a San Miguel in my fridge. Enjoyed this latest episode through The Pyrenees, brought back some precious memories for me. Thanks 👍
Thanks guys and thanks for sharing those photo's it took us back to great times too, being the same age group those photos and the fashions were very reminiscent of our childhood .
I don’t normally comment but you are creating some fabulous content and you have certainly established yourselves as up there with the very best. Thank you for the entertainment and escapism. We hope to follow in your footsteps in a few years with businesses sold and a scaling down of our lives. You’re both great to watch, can you do five a week please as I hate coronation street, please save me!
Thanks a lot for taking the time to add these comments , it's a real tonic for us to read them. We agree about the soaps in fact we don't carry a TV in the van we watch so little. Sounds like you have a good plan for the future we love this life. Thanks very much for watching best wishes Helen and Martin.
@@helenandmartinsTreks we don’t carry a tv either and we are in our 40th year of caravanning, even though we are only in our mid thirties of course like you two! Enjoy your lives it looks wonderful.
Very interesting - you both seem to have the knack of making these videos enjoyable. Watching this, I realised that I said in my previous comment ' the sunshine beckons' and ever since then you've had a number of 'full Manchesters', as Martin puts it! Guess you can't have everything. I'm sure the weather will improve, it certainly has here in the UK, we're on our 3rd day of wall to wall sunshine!
Thanks Al , the weather is due to improve in a couple of days. We'll take whatever is thrown at us we just high on life. Thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin
The meal towards the end of the video looked so delish, how was it? Thanks for sharing your adventures in Spain.
It was very good thanks we didn't eat again until breakfast that was for sure. Thanks very much for watching - best wishes Helen and Martin
I am enjoying following your journey! Be good if you could add the important place names on the screen to help us plot your progress ;-)
We’re happy to do that Brian , thanks for the suggestion. We do have a written blog here with all the stop over details in France here www.helenandmartinsmotorhometreks.uk/blog/our-love-affair-with-the-iberian-peninsular-resumes-today. There will be further updates on our Spain stop overs to come. Thanks for watching Helen and Martin.
@@helenandmartinsTreks Even better! Many thanks.🙃
@@briansussex After your prompt Brian I have a second blog on Spain locations it's here www.helenandmartinsmotorhometreks.uk/blog/the-valencian-community Hope it helps Martin

Hallo, vielen Dank für Ihre Grüße und Kommentare, wir haben die Schweiz geliebt und hoffen, bald wieder dort zu sein. Beste Grüße Helen und Martin
Another super video. Thanks for sharing your travels. Great to watch. Inspiring me as ever.
Our pleasure Toby thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin
Hi guys. Another great vlog. We are driving to Benidorm in September. We don’t want to hit all the toll roads so could you recommend a route from Calais? Thanks.
Hi Guys , the easiest route to avoid Tolls is to come down the West Coast of France rather than over the Central Massif (Millau Bridge etc). Our sat nav allows us to programme routes that are toll free , so which ever why you want to come down that can help. If it helps the last two blogs on our website we put up show you our stop overs on this trip . www.helenandmartinsmotorhometreks.uk/blog . We are also over 3.5 tonnes so also have to fact that into the equation. The AP 7 in Spain is now largely toll free , just small sections that charge which made the deviations a little pointless . The tolls in Spain are cheaper than France anyway of course. Hope this helps if we can help further give us a shout through one of the social media links highlighted our website. Thanks for watching we appreciate it very much best wishes Helen and Martin.
Had to stop your great video update half way through to grab a San Miguel from the fridge to really get in the Spanish mood with you.
Really looking forward to your next update.
Thank you Helen & Martin.
Roger , you're a man after my own heart , always make room for a San Miguel in the fridge. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed your beer. Best wishes Helen and Martin.
We are out in ours but only Seaford in East Sussex 😀😁
I think you might be having better weather ! - but we're glad for you hope you had a great time. best wishes Helen and Martin
Good video but more information on the route you took as well as campsites etc. Sadly the tooth smile became annoying.
Not sure what you mean by tooth smile , but you ought to know that rudeness isn't tolerated on this channel.
Did you travel the 933 road over the Pyrenees on this trip? We are going there soon and are thinking of taking the 933. How was the decent?
Hi yes we did , the decent was fine , some care needed of course , (forgive me pointing out the obvious). Our vehicle is 7.5m but we didn't have any dramas. Weather can be issue but I guess that too is an obvious point. Hope you enjoy your trip and thanks a bunch for watching . Best wishes H and M
@@helenandmartinsTreks We thank you - as I got some good tips from your channel on stopovers towards Santiago de Compostela for our trip. We are going end of April so weather should be okay and our Hymer is 1 m shorter than yours. We are enjoying your vlogs although “crack of dawn” would be my personal phrase of choice. LOL!
Great vlog... as always. Look forward to the next...
Cheers Chris much appreciated best wishes Helen and Martin
Just lovely. Great , great vlog thank you for the remake of baguette and the Haribo scene Hahahaha hahahaha .
It was easy really, bread and Haribo's are our staple diet with red wine completing the unholy trinity. Best wishes Helen and Martin
Really enjoyable video guys. Love the team work ❤
Thanks ever so much for watching and your kind words, Best wishes Helen and Martin
@@helenandmartinsTreks :)
Hi both - would be good to see a route map of the journey as it’s goes along - 2 stops after the euro tunnel ? - how many days to the Pyrenees? - Then 1 day over the Pyrenees to Benakassim (sp?)?
Actually % just seen the comment re place names and your link 👍

You don’t even get grumpy when it rains 🤣🤣 nice one guys, safe, dry onward travels 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
No grumps are allowed Trev - any day in the van is a good day isn't it. Thanks for watching , best wishes Helen and Martin
@@helenandmartinsTreks 🤣🤣 I must remember that and ask my inner Victor Meldrew to stay at home 🤣🤣
Have a great trip and great to see you got your shorts on already 😎😉👍
We always break out the shorts 😂😂😂. Thanks for watching we appreciate it best wishes Helen and Martin
I have to say Helen…I (Cassie) am in total agreement with you on the Haribos….no other sweets compare! Total favourite 😍 We thoroughly enjoyed this one…and Poppy with the birds…so adorable 🥰 🐾
Hey thanks for watching , the Haribo's are essential for travel aren't they. Best wishes Helen and Martin
Hi Martin and Helen. Enjoyed this leg of your trip - Martin's piece outdoors as you headed up over the Pyrenees was a spectacular reminder that it's still a bit wintry in the mountains. Interested to see how full the site was - lots of folks getting back to travelling and exploring. Beautiful walk/run with the dog by the sea - how smart and attractive is that seafront boardwalk ! Good to see Helen towing your caravan from a few years back - another chance for me to encourage her to try it - with the same "No chance!" reply I'm afraid ! Thanks for another enjoyable video. Cheers. George and Trish
Hi Guys - The capacity on the sites has varied and you get a sense that the 90 rule has produced a transition period for the Brits, some came for the winter and left as those like us coming for the Spring arrived. This doesn't apply to the Europeans of course who remain steadfast in their support of caravanning and motorhoming which I know won't be a surprise to you. H has had the advantage of a lot of driver training in her life so will and can drive anything, but and small , two wheels or four. We planned the trip down with the potential for pause points at the foot of the hills in case of bad snow but as it happened we had a window to get over. Thanks for watching Helen and Martin
Another great vlog. Loving catching up with your journey. Safe onward travels x
Hey Sue , sorry for the delay in responding, we have been in mountains and had some first world wifi issues 😂😂😂. Thanks for watching best wishes H and M
we are both enjoying your trip. We really what to explore spain. Glad you got a break in the weather. Take Care.
Cheers guys , just watched your new van video , we're both stoked for you both lovely van. Best wishes Helen and Martin
Another great video and it looks like you’re having an amazing time. Our red cockapoo is also obsessed with birds, or anything that moves! Unfortunately he caught a pigeon when we were out walking and he came prancing back with it held high. I was so upset but he has such strong hunting instincts I doubt there’s very much you can do about it. The other two are not so bothered. It’s a shame you couldn’t take Poppy into the beach but I think it’s the same on a lot of UK beaches now. Thanks as always for sharing your adventure.
Hi Sylvia thanks for watching , it is a shame they ban the dogs . Better behaved then most humans in our experience , but we take it in our stride . If they don;t want our Pop's then we all just move on 😂😂😂. We both laughed about your Pigeon story because Poppy is getting closer and closer to nailing one, we have to watch her like a hawk she is so fast. Best wishes Helen and Martin.
How long was your journey from the border at Spain to you campsite
Hi Phil it's about a 6 hour drive , we both drive so not a problem for us with rotation. Thanks for watching Helen and Martin
Enjoying your travels very much. Thank you both for sharing!
Thanks for watching Jeff , best wishes Helen and Martin
What is the name of the Spanish aire where near the supermarket please?
