I sooo love your tutorials! It just lifts any mood I'm in sky high! Love these Christmassy designs, your darling birdies - oh just about everything you paint! Thank you for making the 'strugglers' amongst us feel better about art - I appreciate your kindness and talent ❤❤❤❤
Diane, these baubles are absolutely charming! I love your composition and you creativity. The leaves outlining them are a perfect addition. The embellishments are delightful. Thank you for the holiday card inspiration. On another note, I wish there were more people in the world that loved animals the way you do. Animals have no voice and yet feel emotions as much as we do. Not everyone gets that. Your heart is huge Diane. There's so much we can't control in life, and your watercolor channel has been incredibly therapeutic for me and I'm sure, many others. Breathe, paint, repeat....... xo
Carolyn, I'm happy to see another person who recognizes that animals are emotionally sensitive and aware, just as humans are. If they only had a speech center in their brains, they might not be treated so much as possessions. However, thinking about how my own ancestors treated (and sometimes still treat) people with different skin colors, maybe even that wouldn't help much.
@@Raina6465 Thank you for your reply. I love how Diane helps rescue animals. To date, I've never met an animal I haven't rescued. I'm happy to have met another human with a big heart xo
Love your beautiful ginger cat, it reminds me if my old cat who was so loving and used to wait on the drive to come home from work every day. Sadly he died but I haven't replaced him so far.
You are such fun to watch! I have very excited conversations with you telling you which color to use next and which one to take out and replace…No, no Diane, make that one purple! It is fun to see how often you agree and change it even when you cannot hear me. It is heartwarming to see such an animal lover.
Thank you SO much for caring about the neighbors poor dog. I will keep you and the dog in my thoughts and in my heart that the abuse is ended soon! And thanks for inspiring me to believe that I can make my own Christmas cards this year!
There is some improvement. She had a visit from the authorities and the dog has a longer chain and is being taken in at night, so that's a big improvement. Not perfect, but better x So glad you're enjoying the channel!
Thank you Diane!!beautiful designs!!I really love the gold, red, and purple together, stunning! You seem like such a sweet loving person! Thank you for trying to look after that poor little doggy!! Good luck with that!!💕
I really love this!! Thank you for the idea. And, as a fellow animal lover, my heart breaks for that poor dog and it goes out to you as you can't accept this cruel treatment! I pray you can get this resolved quickly and for you and your blood pressure. Hopefully that neighbor will have a change of heart toward her pet.
@@DianeAntoneStudio Thanks for the update! Tell that doggy that someone in little Independence, Ohio USA is praying for him and hoping for a home where he is loved and cared for. Thank God for people like you!
"Whatever you do, let it be fun." Diane Antone .... love that you said that, and love the creative Christmas picture you painted! I love the colors! Poor dog!!! I would be very disturbed by that myself! Ugh! some people certainly aren't as good as the animals they keep. Thank you for this tutorial...I love it! :)
beautifully simplistic painting. Perfect for a holiday card. And thank you for being such a caring person for your "nasty" neighbor's dog. I hope this issue can get resolved.
Diane, one of the many reasons I enjoy your channel is hearing your reflections on various subjects, be it art, love of nature and animals in particular or whatever you have on your mind. We have many in our urban neighborhood who do not care for their four-legged companions and it not only causes me much anxiety but makes me wonder about the humans; what has been missing in their lives that gives them this total disregard for fellow beings? It isn't ignorance alone, I don't think. We have had to report people before and fortunately did get prompt action. But that is not always the case. All creatures great and small as the hymn goes. All are worthy of love and care. (I'm not completely altruistic, mind you. I'd like to many humans throttled for sure and do not make any apologies for that). Enough on that...I love seeing your many styles and your process in painting. You've been a great help and encouragement to me in this new adventure into art. I thank you for all you do! and as Carolyn Daughton (comment below) said, breath, paint, repeat. xo
Hi Nanci and thanks so much for your thoughtful and supportive comment. I wish I could find a solution to this dog's miserable life. We take her out for a long off-leash walk most days (I did get permission from the owner to do this although I don't think she really wants me doing it...tough luck!) and we are quickly managing to socialise her. That was my main concern, that she would learn to be vicious, and who would blame her with so little human contact. But she is easily controllable and is learning quickly, she comes when called and stays close, loves to play fetch - all in all she would make a lovely pet for someone. Breaks my heart. Sadly good pet owners are not in the majority here in rural France. I will keep on trying! So glad you enjoy the videos and the different things I offer people. It's a lot of fun! So happy painting to you and hugs xxx
Hi Diane. Just celebrated Halloween here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Now, your “baubles” and berries are putting me in a Christmassy mood! Very inspiring. I am a beginner and really enjoy watching you! Thank you for spurring me on!
I always love your Christmas card ideas and am looking forward to this one as it seems absolutely "doable". Can't go too many days without a shot of Diane inspiration! Thanks again.
Enjoy following you very much! Good on you sweetie for having sympathies for the tied up dog. If you can not treat a dog as a member of your family, you should not have one. They are not meant to be an ornament on the end of a chain….this is animal cruelty. After that downpour the dog was more likely to be wet and cold….reason for the outcries. I share your empathy. ♥️
The dog is still being neglected, and it‘s worse now because it is much colder here, around freezing. We are feeding and walking her as much as we can. The woman had a screaming fit at me the other day but I don‘t care. Only an animal would leave a helpless dog tied up for 10 hours every day outside in the elements. I wish there was an organisation here to appeal to for help but there is nothing in this part of France. I will keep on trying and walking her and playing with her. Wish us luck!
I'm going to try this, it looks easy enough for me and I think it's beautiful! I think you are also beautiful caring enough for that dog that it's possibly affecting your blood pressure. Years ago we had the same problem only that person would leave the property for days at a time. We would throw kibble over the fence and somehow manage to get water in a bowl under the fence. They aren't much better here in the states with taking care of these situations. Stuff like that makes me so sad and mad and doesn't help my blood pressure either. Thanks for sharing and caring :D
Hi Kathy thanks for your message and your support. Luckily (one good thing) we can get to Bella easily as there is no fence between us and her. So we feed her, check on her water, and take her for walks during the day while the owner is at work (with her permission). If I had more time I'd have her in the house and maybe I will if she will get on with the other dogs... it's a process first of calming her and getting her to feel safe. We'll get there! Thanks again for your support, much appreciated xxx
I am so happy I found you. I made some of the Christmas trees by following your video. I love them. I really love making junk journals, but I have always had a love for painting. You make it so easy to follow. Thank you so much. You are deeply appreciated.
Lovely. I am thinking of making cards by painting this year. I usually cut up old cards and recycle but I want something more personal this year. Thank you, Diane!
I hope so too, something needs to be done. Meanwhile we are doing what we can to keep her entertained as much as possible during the day. I wish I had more time!

Hi Diane, enjoyed this video and loved your color choices. Just curious if you have shown how to paint the two blue trees on your test paper? I would love to see it if so, thanks.
Diane, I was sorry to hear about the dog. I hope the animal safety people can do something. I'm glad to hear that you took action. It upsets me to see a dog tied up. People who don't understand how sensitive their pets are - well, I don't know what I'd do to them, but I think they might enjoy being treated in the same way, don't you? Don't worry about the woman who exposes her finger. Just imagine other things she might have displayed and count yourself fortunate not to have witnessed them.
Ha ha, very funny! She is a very strange woman! I've reported the situation to the animal protection people but they haven't responded with a visit yet (weeks....) In the meantime we take Bella for a long off-leash walk in the fields around us each day - this is the only time she is off the chain, where she can only move a few feet all day and sometimes at night. We have four dogs already and five cats, so we can't really take her on, and we only live a few yards away so she would notice if we had her, but I really want to take her away from that hell. She sits in a puddle all day. I'm thinking about calling the police, but I don't think they would do anything. But perhaps I will. So bad. But thanks for your encouragement and support. I'll sort something out.
That would bother me too. I live in Canada I had the same problem. It was a puppy the people left outside and went to work for the day. I called the police and they came and called the humane socially who came as well. The dog was not left outside any more
Hi Suzanne, I used to live in Canada, in Calgary actually and for a while I volunteered with the Humane Society there, so I know what good work they do. I wish it was like that here. I checked to see what was happening with Bella last night and I think she has been taken inside, so at least that’s a blessing if at night she’s indoors because it’s getting quite cold and wet here now and she has no comfort in her shed. I’m hoping someone will come to give her a good talking to from the Society for the protection of animals here. Fingers crossed. Meanwhile we will continue to do what we can.
