How do you spend 16 hours on your own, in the woods, in the dark?
Well, this is how I did it on this long winter solstice night - thanks to the wonderful food and drink of Flanders.

Excellent video Rich! Can’t go wrong with a classic tarp setup. Let’s you feel like you are one with your surroundings! That stew was a perfect choice for the longest night of the year and I really enjoyed the commentary. If you end up looking for a new pad I’m a big fan of the Nemo Tensor Insulated. It’s never failed me! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family!

@@CottonBud hahaha just as I’m reading this my son and daughter are asking me for the hundredth time if Father Christmas is coming tonight! So yes the excitement is off the charts! I’m just hoping we can get the two of them to bed tonight, because it’s pretty much a guarantee we are going to get an early wake-up tomorrow!

Cracking camp out love that setup with the tarp food looked great talking about cameras I'm looking for a decent one as I only use gopro's but I'm a bit worried about spending lots of cash on something that's not waterproof have a great Christmas atvb jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Thanks Jimmy! Yeah it’s hard to find a camp friendly camera that isn’t a GoPro I reckon. Certainly a waterproof one anyway. Mine is a Sony RX100 VII and it’s nice and small and very versatile but there’s an awful lot of menus to deal with and it isn’t weatherproof by any means. There’s always a compromise somewhere with any camera I reckon. Cheers and merry Christmas to you too! 👍
