Interesting finish I recently did a rattle can finish . O used flat paint. I top coated with matte clear coat. Took the durability to another level. Just have to be careful with cleaning solvents .
I wish MDT would offer some anodized chassis options I really want just a raw aluminum unpainted chassie thinking about stripping all of my finish off and polishing it. A camo anodized aluminum would be awesome.
Of all the amazing things I have done in my life, all the things I taught myself to do, in so many industry's, like machining, welding, metal forming in sheet stock, electrical engineering to commercial electrical contract work, auto mechanics to automotive body and paint and customizing, a great deal of this is my engineering background and high level math sciences, etc.. a very long list... but one thing that I absolutely can not do, is see color. No, I am not color blind, I can tell the differences of 20 different shades/hues of greens, but what I am saying is, I do not know how or what colors mean to the eyes, as per, what looks good to the eyes, in turn, the mind. When my EX-wife asked me what colors looked the best for our soon to arrive child's room (20 years ago), and she had several various colors painted on the wall to show a comparison to one another, yes, I could clearly see that each one was its own color, but, in my mind, I do not know how to apply what a color is supposed to feel like, or how a color is supposed to alter somebody's mood to either make them feel uplifted, or the opposite and make them feel depressed or something like that... I thought that learning the trade of auto body and painting would help me understand what color should feel like, NOPE. I can precisely mix paint, even by eye, by winging it.. but still color makes no sense in my head, lol. If somebody was to say, hey, what color do you think I should paint my car... I really do not have a clue... and it gets even more confusing in my head, if they have several colors for me to choose from. The only way I could combat that small amount of petty stress in my life was to do the exact opposite of what I thought might be cool looking on my old drag/street racing cars.. I would just paint them bright hot pink with the multi-color flip agent (3 stage painting process) by Chrome-Illusion or House of Colors, just obnoxious as heck.. which, actually worked out backwards from what my intentions were, which was to just be a d*ckhead, as seemed like everybody liked it. So much so, that folks then actually started painting their custom cars goofy hot pinks... LOL... Now, if I see somebody else's finished paint job, that is then easy for me to see and to easily like the color choices they picked... I just can't pick colors, or know what colors to weed out or choose for what the project is... Picking a color may sound simple, but really is a mental sense that most take for granted, naturally, but when you do not have that sense of color, it is actually extremely frustrating. What are the odds, of all the crap I know how to do, and to contrast to the simplest of things of not being able to pick colors, I am a complete reject... LOL.. So, with that novel stated... I like the look of that design and the color choices on the rifle chassis/frame. But, no way in heck, would I have been able to have pulled those colors off the top of my head and had a result that made any sense or looked neat or flashy.. Well done.
Ha. Always making me cringe. Hahaha. Rattttaaaattattatt. The big tea hopefully will finally get you that precious sponsorship. I’m shocked the “tea bag” move several months back didn’t 🤣😂😆
Cool look I was blown when you said blue w/ the FDE then again all earth tone colors I can tell youv painted a few and found less is more think the green would have killed it.🤮I’m also into one of a kind personalizing / Customizing My Sht.🍻🎯 Been Auto painter 30+ yrs.
I don't agree with your choice of colors , but I'll fight to the death your right to choose crappy colors . That's in the Bill of Rights , ain't it ? Well it should be . (chuckle )
That pattern is called “amphibious attack-lizard skin”for anyone wondering.

I think that looks pretty cool Rick! Simple and different. Your logo is awesome on that barrel too. Good stuff as always
Can't believe Ray let you do that. He had to be screeming on the inside :)

Looks good, I like that!!👍👍
I like that Lazer work on the barrel!
Wut Da Hell....that giant tea is instant BEETUS! This series should get a ton of views.

Looks great Rick. I like the colors. What sticker are you going to add? 👍
Cool idea, but I like the original color better.
Great ideal it looks nice
Big daddy Ray always looking after everyone. If want him looking over me if I were there too!!
I could just feel Ray judging you😁😁😁. Stay rebellious, Rick!!!
Me too and rightly so lol
You can just picture Ray condescendingly looking at Rick whilst he commits this sin.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank You Sir! I like the accent paint! It occurred to me another option for quick I.D. during a match 🎶tie a yellow ribbon on your MDT🎶

BraveHart! William Wallace theme for the Win! Now it takes real commitment to touch up that scope.
You got that right that man has drank to much tea
The gloss of the rattle can actually looks pretty good against the fde. There should be no mistaken your rifle amongst others for sure.
Fearless urban warrior and the blue camo door knocker! lol
I like it. Did Ray like it? lol.
Nice Mr. Rick!!
Did this start off as Cerakote? If so, how well does the paint hold up on the Cerakote?
Over time it chips but it’s all good
X-ring you should have confiscated the rattle cans lol . I bet X-ring was shaking his head thinking what da hell is he doing 😧
I totally agree it made me cringe 5 grand on a setup and $10.00 of rattle can paint
I hear the chickens clucking....
