      Can I make suggestions?
      Look at "The Warning".
Start with "survive" (at TedX) and then "21st century blood" (the official video).
      Then look for "Motion Device".
Start with "thick skin", "Alive" and "doves and snakes".
The new generation is in town!

This is the first Black Sabbath album not to have Bill Ward on drums. Bill was a jazz drummer from back in the '60s, and in early Sabbath the jazz is clearly there. But he left after Heaven and Hell, so Sabbath picked up Vinnie Appice, younger brother of the legendary Carmine Appice.
Vinnie has a distinctively heavy and slow rhythm. I think it works with Sabbath.

Wow, something from Mob Rules. This album is usually overlooked by reaction channels in favor of Heaven and Hell. If you guys want to delve deeper into Sabbath, check out Born Again. That album features Ian Gillian from Deep Purple as the singer. There are some truly heavy tracks on it; Trashed, Disturbing the Priest, Zero the Hero, Digital Bitch etc. It's worth a listen

Wow! Growing up I was Black Sabbath/Ozzy only. Period. I wouldn’t even give Black Sabbath/RJD a listen. That’s how close minded I was. If it wasn’t Sabbath/Ozzy then it was nothing. Only now 30 plus years later watching Vin&Sori , now listening to sabbath/RJD and I can truly say RJD blows Ozzy out of the waters. Thank you V&S for that I appreciate y’all 🤙🏼

(read in Vin's voice) the scientific understanding that we are almost incomprehensibly small in the universe, which itself may only be part of a multi-verse, gives me great humility, wonder, awe and even happiness. One RJD song that I have loved since first day issue of "Dream Evil" is "All the Fools Sailed Away". It's never mentioned in any "best of" or "favorite" list, but I really think Vin will dig both the lyricism and the vocal strength. As a fan, and an old man that's been listening to Ronnie since Rainbow (and backtracking to Elf), you just can't go wrong with anything he has touched (pretending that Lock Up the Wolves never existed, of course). Also incredible off this same album is "Voodoo" and Children of the Sea from Heaven and Hell. Rock on.

While the band is from England, Dio himself, was born and raised in New York. As far as Southern Cross, it is also referencing the star in the sky, sailors would use to chart their course.

It's amazing that Dio always make you pay extra attention to the vocals when be sings. Such a great range and a amazing storyteller. I think Joey Belladona from Anthrax have been very influenced by his vocal style. You hear it very clearly on the latest two records. You should do In the End by Anthrax. It's a tribute to Dio and Dimebag. Otherwise my regular request, Helloween - Keeper of the seven keys 🎃

The Southern Cross is a constellation used by sailors of old for navigation. Yes Ronnie took over writing lyrics from Geezer Butler who wrote most of Black Sabbath songs up to the Heaven and Hell album, Ronnie's 1st with Sabbath. Geezer is also one of baddest bass player's on this Third Stone From The Sun.

You should totally do Sabbath's "When Death Calls" with Tony Martin on vocals. He is awesome singer on his own, too bad that he was in band after monsters Ozzy and Dio, so people do not give him enough credit. And that song also has epic buildups and also features Brian May from Queen on guitar solo.

The southern cross is a constellation in the northern hemisphere which helped sailors navigate in the southern seas, much as Polaris on the Northern sky.
(The stars appear on the flags of Australia and New Zealand)
This fact, plus the guitar riff of the song which reminds me of a ship breaking waves in a storm, always made me think of this song as a cry for guidance through the long journey of life.
Dio used to write poetic lyrics with cryptic meanings, but this song, I believe, is pretty straight forward, and it talks about being brave in life. Leave the bad situations behind, look for a stable sign and then move on to the unknown. Don't search for easy answers in a crystal ball, break it and sail away.

He was my neighbor and was fortunate to know both Wendy and Ronnie since my teens. It was Wendy that invited my friend and I in to the party as we walked by her driving his into the driveway.
