This is easily one of the most graphic documentaries I've seen. But I'm glad I saw the brutal aspects of their lives that other documentaries would avoid in order to appeal to more people. It makes the whole documentary feel very honest.
it is bizarre, to see the frame of my laptop wrap around this primordial world. I keep coming back to footage of indigenous peoples. I remind myself to not sentimentalize or romanticize them. but there is a yearning. maybe it is the fantasy of the paradisal garden, and certainly I am naive. though no logic tempers this inner feeling, to drown away the modern world. I can't kid myself, Im addicted to it, technology and such. I should be grateful. and yet I know there is a profound madness here, in this modern world. a profound madness. and I am apart of it. born into this. it resides within me. if I truly long for some primeval connection to elemental simplicity, I should put away these infantile reveries and go and seek some semblance of an original community. to really parse the illusion and the genuine desire. how much I would be thankful for the modern luxuries. how much I would be glad to have gotten away from it. I do not know. I've lived without electricity before, in a garden commune. but the modern world still permeated deep into our bones. why do we watch these naked people walking barefoot in the jungle? what the hell do I want.

Nous ignorons le sens de la danse en communauté qui relie la chaleur humaine, à la terre et au ciel. Cette tribu a le sens de la vraie richesse, le partage !
There is no justification for this barbarity: Living in slums was indeed an option and most colombians took it. We are poor and live through hardship, by we are not guilty of this g3noci3d. I hope the cuivas or their descendants survived by adapting to civilazation, just as we, many other tribes in Colombia had to do. Thanks for showing this moving historical document about the colonizstion of the orinoco region, that is the g3nocid3 and displac3ment of indigenous peoples.
those ranchers are wicked people, they are greedy, they are cruel to their animals, and they are living in sinful behaviors. our lord did not mean for us to behave like this toward one another, nor did he create us to behave this way toward animals. i cannot respect a wicked and mean person, but in gods name i can love them with gods righteousness. i follow the lords example and that is true wisdom, and goodness. i will pray for all of their generations who will follow in their footsteps. god bless you all.
These people are better off the way they live now. Trying to civilize them only to become drunks and be on the low class of society is killing their way of life, which is worth more than money can guve them.
There should be laws (that are enforced) to protect the Cuiva Tribe and all the other tribes and their habitat. All the rain forests, the people and animals living there should be protected by law and the laws should be enforced. Also the women should be protected from the tribes that make them have surgery on their private areas. They should be taught that it is wrong and it is cruel.
I think that if the creator wanted all indigenous people to be like mainstream society.he would have made them that way.i wish the world non indigenous peoples would just leave them be.they are happy and want for nothing.why fix a culturea community when its not broken.the heart 💜 of these people is whats missing in today modern society.
The illtreatment, murders and destruction of these people is an abomination against God and nature . Those responsible will suffer horrific lives and death.
a very sensibel docu' bout trybal-nativ life. if only the narrater could avoide traceing comparation of nativ living to the modern one, it would bee a round thing.

Too bad the truth rarely gets to be shown in today’s documentaries. It’s really a shame, is all of this censorship really helping anyone? You can’t shelter kids or adults for that reason for long, people will find out what they wanna know no matter how graphic it may be. The man who dispatched the cow has surgical skills beyond that of a normal person blood letting, it isn’t an easy method but when done right I believe it lends to quality in the meat if you remove as much blood as possible.
No, the indigenous ppls pf the americas have been there for over 30 thousand years. They build unique genetic groups with very few exceptions in northamerica.
Well by the end a few stories from the Cuiva were translated. I hate the ending, what the selfish colombian's have done to their tribes! Like I said just leave them be! You can see the difference from how peaceful and happy they were and by the end what society had done to the Cuiva. It's sick and wrong!!!!
We have to leave this native alone because they been taking care of themselves all this time they never need any one to do anything for them we just like destroying this great people of the forest taking their land for big business to take what ever little thing they have sad how all the native of this world have been abuse
I find it hard to believe these "tribes" use the terms "niece" "uncle" "brother" they just cant know what those words mean unless they've had a good amount of experience with western foreigners
Mexicans are mostly mixed race divided into the Mullato race or Mestizo race, or other according to the Casta System: 1) The Mullato race is a descendant of a black slave and a white conquestador. 2) Mestizo race is a Native American and a White Settlers. *Then there is pure black, pure native, pure white (Peninsulars born in Spain) OR Whites born on the American Continent socially lower than Whites born in Europe until the Mexican Revolution made whites regardless of place of birth equals still ignoring the people of color.
i dont understand. how do the indigenous look exactly like the so called ''white'' aka ''european'' aka ''spaniard''. Maybe the gods represent aspects of race...if thats the case, one of the gods must have a more prominent role. i can see a correlation between these indigenous peoples and asians as well

best narrated...simple and true. Without appearing pleasant. The arrogant modern society who glorify their religions and capitalism will unfortunately learn little here and will not change ... for them it is part of everyday life that other people are exploited and killed in order to be able to continue living their comfortable life ... they just want beautiful stories to be told beautifully ... the content bypasses these people anyway
