Great content as always. My prediction is you are going to have 200k subs in 1 year. One thing about building software. It is a little risky to focus your software on bigger software lacking features. As soon as they add it you are done. That's what I see from a lot of AI based software nowadays.
Cody, I watch your videos on Greg Isenberg's channel. Fire as always. I have to stop watching your content before I head to bed. My mind races with possibilities.:)
I love this clear path. That said, my only quibble is why take the long way to software, especially for people who don't find their interests or strengths are in building up an agency. Correct me if I am wrong, but the alternative is to build up a solo-practice and raise prices to the point where you're earning six figures and productizing yourself (and maybe offloading some work to 1-2 freelance assistants but avoiding the larger agency model), save on the side, and then use the savings to go straight into software.
Intent behind keyword matters as well. How to keywords are not as lucrative bc those searchers are probably looking for how can they do it themselves rather than pay for it.
Thanks Cody, this is a 🔥idea, it peaked my interest when You spoke to Greg about this. And the deepdive here makes it even more enticing to jump into. Is the canva tutorial space open to more videos do you think?
Hey Cody. I thought this was really good content and I am thinking about making the jump into video content. Do you mind making a video on how you make videos? Maybe give us a breakdown and a system. That would be super helpful at the stage I am at.
The problem is ones your tool becomes successful and you have product market fit Canva will copy what you did and you are out of business. I know, they might buy yours if you are lucky but that's a big risk to take. Building software depending on other software is never a good idea IMHO.
Why cares???!!!! If you build a business so well that a bigger corporation buys you out that’s what you call an EXIT STRATEGY! And a good one at that especially if you’re bought out in the 7-8 figure range! Are you okay????
