Thanks Kaskenova. With your help I have started my first ACC livery for REDKEN. Well paced, enough explanation and enough detail to get the job done. As you said no need to teach people how to use PhotoShop, GIMP or whatever, that is for someone else to do.
I create liveries in assetto corsa...not competizone just regular assetto corsa...but for real, now seeing how you have to make for this...this just looks SO MUCH COMPLICATED than in assetto corsa :
Thats dang complex. Love Ac&Acc, but for AC2 we need a good livery editor as in GT7 + everyone should be able to see them. But on the other hand I'm just glad acc got best netcode.
Its not working in my case, doing step by step like in video, add car, save it, rename , create folder but when I renamed files and custom skin name in json file there is no such a car in game, dont know what is wrong, texdds is set to 0, aby ideas what could be wrong ?
Changing the name of the file in the folder "Car" is OK but when i change the name in the field of this .json file as shown in your tutorial, the car is irrevocable gone in the game. I have Update 1.9.5 and play on Steam. has something changed since the update 1.9.5 ?
Very strange indeed. Just to be sure is your filter set to all so you see all cars? I once made the mistake of only seeing the 'real' cars and not the custom ones because I had the wrong filter on.
@@kaskenova Yes changing the filter to all or custom does not change anything as long as i do not change de nam within the file the car is present. as soon as this line is filled with a mapname exactly as explaned the car is gone, and deleting the text again does not work.
Hi i know this video is now over a year old, but i am not able to find any solutions. my problem is that in multiplayer my friend isn't able to see the custom liverly although i heard before that its possible to see other liverys in multiplayer. the server is self hosted if that info is important thanks in advance ^^
@@kaskenova Happens to me as well, only with certain cars it seems. When I change the customSkinName in the .json file, or do any other change to it, it deletes the livery in game. This happens to me with the McLarens, but not with the M4 GT3.
Hi, great video btw. I'm new to this but having a few issues. I've installed the game through steam, but for some reason i'm not getting the json files created in the livery folder. Any idea why?
Thanks for the nice feedback. So if you create your car, with the ingame colours and team name etc you don´t see the file in the cars folder? Because it should only be in the Cars folder. The rest is up to you to create.
Photoshop is indeed not a tool which everyone has. That is why I limited myself to explaining how you need to create the custom liveries without going to deep into detail. For that there should be some other videos that go into more detail
I'm not really a content creator so just made this video to help people out. A lot of people seem to have liked it so poorly presented seems a bit harsh 😅. There were only a handful of GIF's in there to make some parts a bit less boring. But that is of course your personal preference. Font seems super clear and easy to read to me.

Yeah true it is a lot of work compared to any other game I made liveries for. You can get a headache from watching the wireframe alone haha.

same problem here i think..... it has to do with the 1.9 update all these tutorials are at least 8 months old so from before the update
i had the same problem, then i did it again with the notepad++ and it worked

@@kaskenova Notepad ++ is the solution, strange but it works Ok when the json is edited with notepad++

Normally that isn't an option since the game allows you to select these things unfortunately.
