I was driving by sprinter dealership in Riverside California, and stopped in to buy a dipstick. The parts guy told me that the van doesn’t come with one. I explained to him that I know it doesn’t come with one, but I want one for my van. He told me that was impossible. I asked him why and he said they don’t make them for that. I said yeah they do and there’s a place where you can put the dipstick. He said he had No part number and he couldn’t help me. I wanted to tell him what to do with that dipstick. So I came back here and realized that you guys sell them on your website. Thank you I purchased that along with the struts. I appreciate you keeping us informed. And just because I’m a female doesn’t mean I don’t understand these vehicles. (That’s the way the Mercedes parts guy treated me. Shame on him.)
@@owloffroad I am so glad I watched your video before having local shop change oil. All done well and put in a hair less than 13 quarts. Gauge was showing half. I told tech that was good. Jumped up to 100% full after a day of running. If I get stuck in traffic it will go high but come down once the oil cools.
Same - where is this? I’ve spent the last two months scouring the internet for a comment about where it is (especially now that the dash gauge is throwing an error that the measuring device is inoperable).
Is there a DIY way to remove some extra oil from a MY23 Sprinter? I called the service dept. at the dealership and the only solution they have is to drain the oil completely, replace the filter and put in fresh new oil. I ordered a manual extraction pump but I don't seem to have access to the drain pan from the hood! I can't believe they completely omitted the dipstick slot now.

👏🏻
He was right.
Omg! I’ve been there on my last trip. Burning my hands in an oreilys parking lot removing oil.
I can’t make this work on my 4 cylinder 2021 Sprinter - won’t slide in! Am I doing something wrong?
Use lube
Thank you been needing this
Why don’t they put the dip stick in? Seems senseless not to
Wow..thanks! If this was published in April, I would say you were joking. Mercedes can't put in a $2 part for them in a $70,000 car....😂
Hey John
Just curious why you have those ARB filters inside the air box?
Thanks
Colder air for the compressor
@@owloffroad thanks
i have the 2024 cutaway AWD unit, and I think they might have eliminated the tube.. the fill is now on the drivers side.. could not find it
There is no option for a dipstick on the 2024
Nice but are these available for a 2008 Sprinter 3500 Diesel(?)
How much u guys sell the stick for ?
Link in description
how long does it take to register the right amount? On the digital gauge? An hour or just up to temps?
Takes some driving, a decent amount. It’s also not very accurate

I couldn't find the oil tube for dipstick anywhere on my 2023 Sprinter. They deleted it. :(
That is correct, the 2023 vans do not have a manual dip stick unfortunately
Hello. I have a 2022 2.1 4 cyl. Do you sell the dip stick for that? oh, and I did burnt my fingers.
Is there a dipstick somewhere for the transmission fluid? If so, can you tell me where to located? If not, can we purchase a stick?
I don't believe there is a dipstick for the transmission fluid.
off topic but is there any modifications you have to do to install the hood struts or is it just bolt on....??
Just bolt on easy peeezy done in no time. Great mod
Where’s the location on the 2023 Paul???
Not sure if the 2023 has one
Hi, that dipstick fit to a MB Sprinter Van 2500 Diesel 2024?
Only the V6 diesels
Will this work for a 2019 Sprinter 3500 Cab Chassis?
It should if it is a V6
Will this work in a 2023 high output engine?
Not sure, I don’t think so but I’ll check
It’s not.
They moved the receptacle on the 2023. 😅
You have it figured out Paul???
Can you tell me where it was moved to for the 2023?

$40 seems very Mecedes-ish
What's the MBZ part number?
Link to the part is in the description
Going back to you. Doesn’t work on a 2023.
Yes, that is correct. The title of the product is "SPRINTER DIPSTICK (DIP STICK) 2019-2022 VS30" It also lists the years in the description.

Will the same dip stick work on a 2012 2500 NCV3 ?
I think so, but I am not certain. It has been a few years since we had an NCV3
@owloffroad I'd like to give one aa try . How do I contact you all -
