Hey just for future reference - on the lane once you get to the stile where the bridleway starts, just keep on the lane - get to the barns and cross over the stream by the bridge - across the field to the right up to the lane and through the posh farm yard. It has no public right of way signs and private garden, but - there is a path - a beautiful path, easy to follow straight to the fall , much easier and more beautiful a route it is too, The Powys council created an official diversion, hence the bridleway so the rich family who owns the estate (Redshield - you know what I mean) didn't have the masses crossing their gardens. It is I believe an ancient right of way which should be kept at all costs and no amount of selfishness or pandering should inhibit public access to what could be one of the most beautiful spots in all of Wales.

Thank you Mark … not sure if this is the way I came back … it’s so badly sign posted it all just says Private Garden … yes I know exactly what you mean ha ha! Yes fair enough although they could make it a bit easier 😅

Do you mean you turn before the farm?

    • @markmuir7267

@@ethicalbunny Cant help thinking this is a definite strategy as the bridleway hardly equates to a path and once you get to the gorse, like you did - 99% of folk give up I'm sure

@@markmuir7267 maybe - I did see a path on the other side but that led up the opposite side of the valley 🥲

@@ethicalbunny Just remember in case you go again - all the easy walking and the best views are on the right hand bank - following the river downstream of course, Some lovely grassy fields to cross before you get to the fall proper where it gets a lot more natural

I just watched and really enjoyed this one. I need to go here.
Also your mam sounds like like a legend.😉👍
You found the waterfall and was looking all girly and beautiful 10.30 if look to see 10.40 you are getting out and biting and getting stuck in to your flapjack or granola bar. No messing about.😂
    I thought that was brilliant.👏👏👍
Hope your new boots are good.
Love to see you and you mum one day wild camping together. I know she wouldn’t want to now.
Just when you said she did in the 90s. Thought that was really nice, you are following her.
I'm out Tues to waterfall, I will jump in and perhaps eat very fast a granola bar or flapjack.
Next month I'm going for it, 3 nights Lake District. Scafell Pike and as many as my legs to do.
    I'll be busy there.
Looking forward to your next one.
Your vids are very good because you are just being yourself.
    Keep having fun.👋

So good to hear the hike up to the falls was transformative. I think you have to go with your intuition - you made the right choice I think. These micro adventures are worthwhile. Awesome falls to - they say awe is good for us. Well, resonating with your spiritual being. I've subbed on account of the time out and that. Just a tip when crossing rivers and streams. Grab a staff from out of the bush - it really keeps you steady. All the best. Mark (Hereford)

I travelled to wales a few times over the years and found some very little known waterfalls.... one of which had a deep pool underneath which I got into up-to my neck ....it was cold too... wasn't a massive waterfall but nonetheless great to find!....11 years later I travelled to it again... nature and it's erosion had taken its toll on that pool....that pool wasn't there anymore😟...I was looking forward to another bath and shower at the same time again😔. Lol

That sounds amazing! It probably a nice place to do it as there are no towns nearby … I feel like you only realise the amount of light pollution when you go hiking and can see light from towns that are far away!

      @darkshaman7087 Год назад +1

@@ethicalbunny yes its amazing as I live in the valleys we have some light pollution but not a great deal and when up on top of the mountain I'm above the light pollution so not to bad but then up towards the reservoirs its pitch black, also they was on about doing the planetarium on the old colliery site as so dark but it sadly did not happen, also as I do astrophotography light pollution can be a pain but its great here also I capture the star trail effects over the reservoirs etc which is cool, I must put the camera on the right settings point the camera at the North Star and wait for about 30 mins for our planet to rotate to capture the circular trailing effects of the stars its fun. Myself could never move to the city areas as it would feel like a life sentence haha there ain't much here but the hikes and scenery makes up for it all.
