At 8 yrs. old, I learned how to crochet the basic of basic stiches, but never properly (front loop vs. back loop vs. both loops) and how to end a row and start a new one correctly. Since then, for 52 years, I have always wanted to learn how to crochet properly and correctly. Thank heaven for RUclips and you, Jonna! I can now finally do a simple hat and scarf project, which I've wanted to do for a very, very long time. Thanks for sharing your talent on RUclips, Jonna!!!! So happy I found your tutorials! :-)

One was white for my daughter in law and I made a teeny tiny one for my baby granddaughter to wear under her snowsuit. Thank you so much for your lovely very easy pattern. I am so intimidated by crocheting into a back loop, that I avoid trying projects that use it.

It’s really not bad once you get used to it. Maybe watch a few videos using it.

As its a big hook and thicker wool it's worth trying again. I hold the work between my middle finger and thumb to keep it slightly tilted towards me and it helps.
