These are soooo cool Wendy 😍😍😍 I have also made the Tealights to film Jesmonite tea light holders for next week 🤣🤣 great minds ayyy .. love it 😍😍 the Crystal cluster looks fantastic 😍
Oh Wendy… the tealight in the skull trick was just genius!! What a brilliant idea! All the other molds transformed into beautiful resin pieces too! Well done, and thank you so much for sharing. ♥️♥️🇦🇺
Now that's a clever idea making a tea light holder in the skull! I love how the interference colours blended and was not aware that you could do that. Thanks for sharing Wendy.
Great tutorial Wendy! Love the skull candle holder idea & the colour of the mixed interference resin is gorgeous. So much to learn from 1 video. Thank you. 😊
HI Wendy, You said you haven’t made a mold for a little while but my goodness Wendy what a wonderful Success you had 🤗👍 so good on you I would love to see you using your molds using Coloured resin Thank you for sharing another wonderful tutorial ❤️👍Lin
Hi Wendy, They look AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How about casting more of the Crystal one and coating the painting mica powders, as Emma does on her burrs, on the and then casting that into resin and then turn an egg. Great video Hun and thanks so much for the shout out. I really appreciate it. Take care Wendy. Cheers, Huw
Oooo that does sound interesting 😂😂😀😀👍 I like that idea indeed 🤔 Will get my thinking cap on for this I think 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for watching Huw and commenting as always 🤗😊😀👍
Wow, color me impressed! I'd forgotten all about not using plasticine! The for the reminder. 😊👍 Everything turned out so nice! I still don't have any interference OR chameleon powders, but I'm getting there. 😊
Everything costs and money flows out the door with hobbies 😣 but over time we get there. I’m not wealthy so it’s taken me a long time but actually feel like I’m getting somewhere now 😀😀 Let’sResin have really helped 👍❤️
Wendy have been reading my mind?! I came across some crystal rocks while I was packing to move house. Said to myself shall I throw them out or shall I keep them and try making a mold? Now that I've seen how well yours turned out, you can guess what I'm going to do! 🤣
If you are good at flower arrangement you should have no problems 😀😀😀 I think I need practice but I still love the results 😀😀😀 Great minds think alike Yvonne 👍❤️
Hi Wendy You could always use a battery powered flickering Tealight in your skull. I have a small fishing village ceramic sculpture that I have used them in as I didn't want to be cleaning soot of them all the time. Fantastic moulds and great video as usual.
Thank you so much for this video it helped me with some ideas I have with my bigger resin molds. You made it easy to follow. And understand. I will be watching more of videos. Thank you again. KITTY JKBarts.😊
Those moulds turned out beautifully! I migh try an knick the insert druzy idea, I know I have one of those stones. Somewhere... I'm also very happy for the warning regarding plastesine. I knew that some types of clay (and uv-resin) react badly to some silicone mould makers but a reminder is always good!
My Bestie from canada sort of wants the exact crystal in her skull. I haven't tried crystals in the skull yet. I have lots of plainish skull colours, but learning how to insert stuff into resin when i cast it, but the first time was fail, cause it wouldn't sit right. Thank you from Ohio!!!
Wendy did you hit your head or have the resin fumes frazzled your brain ? GREEN ! NO NO NO please no more go back to the colours we all know you love and leave the green in the cupboard where it belongs, these molds are beautiful ! the definition and shine you got on all 3 was amazing and what a great idea for the candle holder, you clever thing 😀 👏 xxx
Thank you so much Paula 😂😂😂 I know-- GREEN--- I’m trying to be more inclusive of the colour 😂😂😂 It might get used again 😏😳🤷♀️ MIGHT 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching Hun 😀👍❤️
A bit of an unrelated question, how do you accomplish glitter not sinking to the bottom of your molds? Especially deeper molds like the crystal towers? Also, any thoughts on how to accomplish a glitter spiral from top to bottom in a crystal tower mold?
Ok unfortunately as you know glitter sinks So if you are using anything other than microfine glitter you need to wait until the resin is getting gloopy then stir it so get the glitter up from the bottom. If you are looking for a spiral of glitter Then I would suggest creating a spiral out of a silicone straw the once cured put that in clear. I hope that helps 😀😀👍❤️ You could always use a glitter type alcohol additive See my video on rainbow additive 😀 that company makes loads of colours 😀👍❤️
Beautiful creations. Thank you for the video. As you said, you should not have used plasticine for silicone making mould, why so? And in place of plasticine, what would you have put ?
I loved this video. Clever idea to make a tea light holder out of your skull. I have a skull mold and am going to try this. Thank you! Do you let the air dry clay harden before pouring the silicone or no? I would think no as everything would be bonded in it. Gotta see what sparkly crystals I have to make some molds. Might try growing some, also.
I have tried growing it several times and haven’t managed to get a good mould from it yet 😂😂 I would let the airdry clay harden Just to be sure the water in it doesn’t effect the silicone 😀👍 Thanks RK 👍
Really enjoyed this. may move onto mould making myself. I am struggling to find a UK distributor for the interference lets resin mica powder. They aren't on Amazon and they don't ship to the UK from the lets resin website. I wondered where you get yours from (they aren't on the list) ♥
I there. I did actually get them from the Let’sResin Amazon shop. But I guess they all out atm. I am sure they will come back soon. Sorry I can’t help more 😳 Thanks for watching and commenting 😀👍❤️
I can say that i learned that the mold release spray i have does not play nice with silicone. I was trying to make a mold of a silicone bowl. Everywhere that the silicone touched the mold release, it didn't cure. It was gooey and sticky. There was no cleaning it off unfortunately. I tried. I have a brush on mold release i plan to try and see what happens. I love the tealight idea. Ive been trying to figure out a way to make candlestick holder molds because i can't find any good molds.

How do you use air dry clay in making molds? Do you have a video on that?😊 Hello from across the pond, by the way!
Hi there. No but Claire’s crafty corner has a video on it or 5 😂😂
Beautiful creations. Thank you for the video. As you said, you should not have used plasticine for silicone making mould, why so? And in place of plasticine, what would you have put ?
The silicone I was using reacts to plasticine and leaves a sticky surface. Air dry clay works as does polymer clay 😀💜
@@Toonpish oh okay. Thanks for reply.
No problem 😀😀 hope it helped 💜
