Hello Goodnight. This breed is called Raça Brava dos Açores and has lived here for over 500 years. We think it is derived from the ancient Auroch or Mirandese bull and was brought by the island's first settlers. But it is not known for sure. In the past, they were raised alone in the forest, but now they are created by the hand of man, trying to keep the original race and not mix with others. These cows in this video are original and come from this ancient breed, but we have other videos here on the channel that if you notice, the breed is different, they are known for their morphology. It is the most used cattle in rope bullfights on the streets, as they are more resistant and run faster than the breed used for events in squares. The main tradition here is the events in the streets and if you have time I would suggest you to visit the channel called Gabriela Cultura & Tradições that you will be able to see these events in the streets, there are more than 220 every year beetween may and october. We always vaccinate our cattle for brucellosis here in the states as the wildlife such as the elk and bison can carry it and can potentially give it to our cattle.

Quanto mais feios mais bravos, ahah. Este gado é morfologicamente diferente, é o gado usado para as touradas nas ruas, são as futuras mães dos touros para as ruas. As características são muito diferentes, mais magros, mas com grande resistência e mais poder de corrida e cansam muito menos e são extremamente inteligentes. Ive been watching your videos lately. There amazing to watch and very funny at times. Its hard to understand how mad these animals are being a farmer myself and seeing the odd cross bull. It was so funny seeing the weaning really trying to kill the farmer. Its hard work. Fair play for keeping this mad breed alive whatever breed they are?? Most people would just get the rifle out.

affects humans. Although brucellosis can attack other animals, its main threat is to cattle, bison,
cervids (E.g. elk and deer), and swine. The disease is also known as contagious abortion or
Bang's disease. In humans, it's known as undulant fever because of the severe intermittent fever
accompanying human infection or Malta fever because it was first recognized as a human disease
on the island of Malta
