This week I'm making a boom bap beat in Ableton Live's Session View.
I always start my projects in the Session view and move on to the Arrangement view once I have enough material to arrange.
For this session I used U-he RePro and Novation Bass Station 2 for the synth sounds.

Nice one Lowheat this was great as per usual. 🔥Be interested to see a follow on showing how you go from this session to arranger view/arranging the song. Know there are vids out there but more inspiring from watching creative process like this. Am previously more a logic X user but newbee learning the Ableton ways. Your vids are helping, many thanks 🙏

I use Edit/Arrangement view for making beats for Dj'ing I use Session view. Back then in Ableton 9 I used to make beats in session view.

For sure, Session View rules for DJ-ing and live performance.

Arrangemnt view 100% makes more sense and I can see it in a song structure.

It's custom lead preset from the Bass Station 2 through Valhalla Supermassive.
