@HorizonHobbyProducts I'm still a little lost .....so 8 channels....with software to get 20.....if I'm using the 8 on the transmitter....how will I be able to use the additional 12 without using the existing button knobs or switches currently used for the first 8 assigned channels....I guess you could add software for 100 channels then....
But what is the differences now between a NX10 and the NX8+ (beside the hall sensors of the NX10) ? Both have 20 channels now. I think the names of the radios do not makes sense anymore. Why anyone should by a iX20 if the iX14 has the same features now. Why someone should by a NX10 because the NX8 has also the same features now.
No, if you update the firmware in your transmitter it will continue to work with all of your older receivers too! You can also update some older receivers with new firmware to add AS3X+ and other features though as seen in this video (but it is not required for them to function as they have been): ruclips.net/video/_Kv3Xn231_I/видео.html
Hi. Not sure understand. I purchased a TX16 because I wanted more channels (switches). Not sure how the NX 8 can be 20 channels but still have the same number of controls.
I think that's where the X-Plus module ($100) comes into play...but if all 8 are being used...how does the other 12 get assigned a already used switch...but I'm sure spektrum with there rc magic has a way
Yes! But the only difference will be the label and it will come loaded with the latest "plus" firmware. In the meantime you can purchase any NX10 and update to the latest "plus" firmware at no charge to have an NX10+ (without the label)!
The only difference besides the physical “+” graphic is that the NX8+ already comes with the expansion firmware. Current NX8 transmitters just need to be updated to become the NX8+. :)
I just purchased a NX8 on Monday and am now seeing this. Is it even worth returning the NX8 I currently have and getting the NX8+ or will the update make it the same radio just without the + symbol?
Due to the fact that there is already an NX20 in the lineup, which has significant hardware differences that may suit other pilots better, we have decided to call it the NX8+. The + signifies the added channel support to the NX8. Hope this clarifies things a bit! :)
So this is a firmware update that makes the nx8 20 channels, ok. Spectrum was an introduction to RC but I like helis and vbar has taken over that market.
Nice but your technology moving so fast and not being older people friendly is actually causing me to lose interest in this hobby sorry to say. I only buy BNF planes and I don't fly giant scale or anything complicated planes so my NX6 gives me all I need. Flaps mixes and an extra channel.

You guys seriously don’t change the micro USB port for a type C 🙄🙄🙄
They probably designed it pre-pandimic
Not a big deal but my biggest gripe. Like get with the modern era here.
The first question I asked myself about the 8+....sad to see it shown with a micro usb.
So...help me out...i have yet to see a 20 channel reciever...what am i missing

Thank you !!! Much needed upgrade to the ecosystem!!!personally makes me stay with spektrum
This looks awesome! I may need to save up for one of these 😎👊🏻💥👊🏻
Great! But no USB-C?
Thank you HH Programmers for making this happen. Thank you Corporate HH for allowing this update to happen!
Last year I upgraded from my old DX-6 Gen 2 with telemetry to the NX10SE does it have a significant update also ?
If I patch my NX 10 are there any updates needed to my older planes receivers?

Ok, so are these 8 or 20 channel Tx's????
can I bind a ar10400t to my nx6 I wont be using all the channels on the ar10400t I just need to use it.
Yes! You can bind the NX6 to any channel count of receiver as long as it is DSMX or DSM2 compatible.
Feeling that heat from Radiomaster and FrSky?😅
But there are no addition switches, how do you use the additional channels?
I believe you can now use bigger receivers like 14 channels with forward programming.

could I use ar10400t receiver with this? ive been able to bind my nx6 to a 8 channel receiver.
Yes! You can bind this transmitter to a receiver up to 20 channels!
@@HorizonHobbyProducts thank you!
When will the NX8 update going to be available?
Its available today...
Will the NX10 be re badged and released as NX10+ ??

@@HorizonHobbyProductsThat's interesting, but how are the additional channels used?
I just purchased a NX8 on Monday and am now seeing this. Is it even worth returning the NX8 I currently have and getting the NX8+ or will the update make it the same radio just without the + symbol?
Just update it. Same Radio, just a different bezel graphic. Keep what you've got. You have an NX8+ once you update it.
@@StevesRCthanks
I updated my nx8 but don't see the extra channels
@@Eagle2Flyer_ You will need to go into frame rate to see more than just the main channels. You will want to activate Xplus in that menu too.
@StevesRC Thanks I'm assuming there will be videos out soon explaining the new features of the update
If it's 20 channels, why not call it the NX20 instead?

@@HorizonHobbyProductsso basically this nx8+ is better then the nx-10?
@@g.meyers1008 Yep. update today!
@@Bruc3the628 Nope, the NX10 is also upgradable to 20 channels today and has hall-effect gimbals, and rear sliders.
But, it doesn't work
I just got this radio and I wish it came with USB C charging.
Will this fit the HH scale airwolf heli....?😁😁😁😁🙏🙏🙏🙏
Almost perfectly... If!
Can you send me one to review

Have you ever set up a Futaba or RadioMaster transmitter? Spektrum is way easier than everything else.
I also have the NX6. There's a free update now which increases it to 14 channels.
Yeah you don’t have to worry about all this then. Your NX6 will be fine for the next 10 years. 👍🏻
