I played last night and the game is amazing I didn't even pay attention to the hate of the game and gave it my full attention because the devs support this game so much and put so much effort into making a roadmap for so much more future content. Never will understand why people hate it I stayed up way too late last night I was addicted!
Mostly because it was marketed as a next gen looter shooter and its not, it was marketed as bioware story characters and its not. If you don't care about the story and ignore any server issues game is really good. But at "endgame" for now you farm GM1's and that's it, pretty much game ran out of content 1-2 weeks after launch and yes you can go and farm GM1 untill you get insane legendaries but what is the fun in that ? i get bored from farming GM1's for 3-4 hours while in other games i could go on for 12 hours and still not get as bored.
Just picked this game up off game pass in 2021 and it has been a blast to play! I hope that they continue with this series in the future as it has tons of potential. Combat is great. Graphics great. Enemies are diverse enough and the AI is pretty intelligent. Weapon choices and loadouts good too. My only complaint is that its a little confusing at first with what missions you should be doing but that is getting easier the more I play.
When this game came out I wanted to play it so bad, but went thru ,well, life. Now I'm discovering it again and will be starting tomorrow. Idk what hate people are talking about this game looks incredible and I can't wait to catch up and dive in to this world
You go to the forge tap "Appearance" then go to vinyls and go to 'buy' and it should be there. Don't know if you had to play Andromeda or the other games to get it though.
I suggest starting with ranger or storm first.. both do well at the earlier parts of the game and are good to have to fall back on. Pick interceptor or colossus if you want to, lvl 8 comes pretty fast and lvl 16 isn't too too bad to get but I think it will be a rougher road early on and would put storm as the best first pick for its aoe potential and how that will speed up and smooth out the early game with a side benefit of getting you used to floating around and flying a lot. ofc it could be said that interceptor and colossus need the most practice to be worth a damn so picking those early might be a consideration for the get good kinda ppl

Endgame guide: Once you hit 30 farm GM1's untill you get bored as hell. Switch between strongholds and freeplay when you burnout. Gear all javelin's to 450+. At around 100-120 hours of gameplay if you play the game as a looter shooter your gonna be bored out of your bones. Explore the world and do anything you can find fun. Quit and wait for updated and then come back.
Honestly loving the game, the amount of hate is absurd lmao. Too many people went into this expecting a traditional BioWare game. So far, this is the most fun I’ve had in a loot game since Year 3 Destiny.(Monster Hunter: World excluded)
Brian Hill honestly, Metro. This game is fun and I can highly recommend it to fans of looter shooter games(or even looters in general)but like most of these games it feels like an early access than a finished product. Give it a couple months or less depending on your income before you choose it over masterpieces like Metro Exodus. That way you get to experience that wonderful game now, and you can grab this great game when there’s a lot more content :)
Bosko Jal objectives are pretty bare bones. They definitely need more objective diversity. It’s the same shit we’ve all seen before. Go here protect this, hold this point, gather these. The story is the best so far of any looter game except borderlands and the loot is alright up until end game, and then it gets INSANELY fun and addicting. Masterworks and legendaries are adding a whole new level of build customization I haven’t seen since Diablo 3.

But you cannot deny the number of RUclips’s that simply take advantage of the hive mind hate of EA for views and bash this game a LOT harder than it deserves. When Destiny 1 launched, or Warframe, or Division, all of which were leagues less fun to play than this game is on day one, there wasn’t anywhere close to the same amount of criticism. But people want to see EA hate and therefore that’s what people give them. This game doesn’t deserve anywhere NEAR the amount of hate it’s getting. So many points are over exaggerated or just straight up SO subjective it’s laughable how blown out of proportion it is. Skill Ups review is a perfect example. He went into this expecting a traditional BioWare game when the devs themselves straight up said it wouldn’t be, yet he raised his expectations and because of that was disappointed. The devs also stated they planned to wait until they gathered data on HOW their players liked to play before they aimed their focus on any sort of content - and yet that was also ignored, and thrown about as “the devs have been lazy in their quest for content” when in reality, they want to see what we want for content. We want more strongholds? They’ll add them. More contracts? They’ll add them. Hell, the day one patch has already addressed SOOOO many issues people are complaining about in a WEEK, where Destiny takes MONTHS to patch their shit. I’m not saying the hate isn’t warranted, because it is. It’s a flawed game and it needs work. But the baseline is there, better than any infrastructure of any other looter shooter game in years, and in time, this game will be one of the best as long as BioWare continue down their current path. Hate Bait needs to stop on this platform.

Coming into it yesterday, one of the most frustrating parts of this game is the massive amount of content that goes completely unexplained by the game, such as all the gear, combos, etc. For many this will be a massive point of frustration. At least we have community videos like this to clear it up.

I was looking forward to Anthem since the launch trailer last year and finally got a chance to play yesterday. Demo did not go smooth for sure, but what I played yesterday was 100x better than the demo. Love the match making, free play, in-game voice chat, and that I can join other freelancers anytime though quickplay. Always watched your videos before, but now a subscriber. Really like it even though it's got a lot of bad comments as well as rating. I think we better somehow see it with more opened-eyes. If anyone played The Mass Effect trilogy, they would find it kinda familiar. I really miss the feeling when you come around the spaceship, talk with everyone just to check if there's any new dialogues. ANTHEM is awesome with all the updates V 1.70 & I truly Do NOT understand the hate its getting now . Earlier it was a broken game but so have many other games been like that but NOW its a truly fun experience and has a very interesting story arc and mythos / lore to it. Got the game for mere 10$ and its a blast to play with other players across the world. Get it if you can at a bargain bin prices or when its on sale again. Update V 2.0 is gonna be awesome as its gonna be a complete overhaul & so far BIOWARE has done a brilliant job in fixing all the issues, thank you for this vid.
I purchased this game yesterday. Despite the awful reviews, I’m loving every moment of it, it’s great! From launching your javelin to destroying enemy forces with bad ass combos! Customisation goes far without micro transactions along with the world map being huge. If you like the look of the game but are put off by the reviews, ignore them. It’s no red dead redemption 2 but it’s still a great and fun game.

Everyone stack status and combo like it's 2 piece Tuesdays at Popeyes Chicken. Learn how to chain combos, each javelin has its own chain effect. Colossus is an AOE explosion, the interceptor is an aura charge whatever status they hit becoms their aura, the storm is a status spread, so whatever status is on one will spread to the rest. And the rangers is a critical hit on a single target

I am really enjoying this game after giving it a try through Xbox ultimate pass. I'm assuming it's dead once you deck your inventory out, like Division 1 with classified sets and Division 2 with well... Now. With the life support going on about a year now.

To be honest, in todays gaming generation almost any multiplayer game that gets released are always quoted"incomplete"'too many flaws""micro transaction"...etc. multiplayer games are supposed to generally be better in upcoming patches, dlcs. Rarely will you get a multiplayer let alone shooter looter be almost near perfect in day 1 in which you can only expect in single player games. I only hope people judge a game in its content and not the developer just because of its previous history. If you really like this game or any game despite critic reviews get it because end of the day its your time and money, no one's stopping you.
I bought Anthem on PS4 and have played maybe 25 hours since the time it released. All these guys on streams have probably endlessly hammered this game for a full 3 days after launch on PC without any sleep....getting hungry and cranky and maybe need to poop. It's time to get some nap nap and take a bottle...or an I.V. I don't know what game these haters are playing, but I'm having fun with Anthem. I've taken my time with the story and do most missions with "randos" that has actually been pleasant and fun to do. We already knew the demo had issues but overall, people expressed how much they liked the gameplay. Now, those same people are burned out and basically pi**ing on the game. It's not the same game I'm playing so far. I have played some really bad games over the last 25 years and this isn't it, folks. I'm going back to playing Anthem. I like it.

It is definitely fun, but unfortunately I have had too many crashes to title screen, just 1 infinite loading screen though. There is definitely a good game there, I am enjoying the characters in Fort Tarsis, but crashes at least 1 per mission is not good. The join friends mechanic is also quite confusing, sometimes it just works and others it waits till you join freeplay then immediately loads you to the invite, then at the end crashed on the rewards screen so had to rejoin all over again. Maybe I am just very unlucky, but going to keep playing as when it works, it good. I probably couldn’t recommend it to a friend though at this time due to the technical stuff.

I'm so glad there are many others out there who love the game too. I have been infuriated by the ridiculous false clickbait reviews and have commented on many of them, only to realise that there are some seriously toxic people out there. This game looks absolutely amazing on ultra on PC and I was blown away with it visually, not to mention the gameplay and flying mechanics being absolutely awesome. It's sad that so many retarded people like the little sheep they are feel all big and proud by not trying the game because they are apparently so glad they've saved their money etc. Absolute fools, seriously. I mean, anyone who looks at this game and isn't impressed visually must be impaired, visually. And anyone who states that the gameplay is boring hasn't tried the game, they can't have done, because the flying is so fluid and awesome that you'd have to be a complete asshole to try and suggest it's not impressive. Not like you do in most first person shooters if that is what you mean. You upgrade them by finding a higher lvl version of the weapon or one with different bonus stats. But no you cannot change optics or anything.

I was looking forward to Anthem since the launch trailer last year and finally got a chance to play yesterday. Demo did not go smooth for sure, but what I played yesterday was 100x better than the demo. Love the match making, free play, in-game voice chat, and that I can join other freelancers anytime though quickplay.

Just started the other day as thick boi. Got a component that makes my shield rams do 300% more damage. Literally one shotting enemies by running... I love it!

Really like it even though it's got a lot of bad comments as well as rating. I think we better somehow see it with more opened-eyes. If anyone played The Mass Effect trilogy, they would find it kinda familiar. I really miss the feeling when you come around the spaceship, talk with everyone just to check if there's any new dialogues.
Just hope they would add more cosmetic items & armor sets, and more strongholds ofcourse. Btw, I like how you made this guide and didn't "judge the book by its cover" like everyone else, mate!

ANTHEM is awesome with all the updates V 1.70 & I truly Do NOT understand the hate its getting now . Earlier it was a broken game but so have many other games been like that but NOW its a truly fun experience and has a very interesting story arc and mythos / lore to it. Got the game for mere 10$ and its a blast to play with other players across the world. Get it if you can at a bargain bin prices or when its on sale again. Update V 2.0 is gonna be awesome as its gonna be a complete overhaul & so far BIOWARE has done a brilliant job in fixing all the issues, thank you for this vid.
I purchased this game yesterday. Despite the awful reviews, I’m loving every moment of it, it’s great! From launching your javelin to destroying enemy forces with bad ass combos! Customisation goes far without micro transactions along with the world map being huge. If you like the look of the game but are put off by the reviews, ignore them. It’s no red dead redemption 2 but it’s still a great and fun game.
Loving this game 150%. If you played any looter shooter in the past 10 years then you already know the complaints are way overblown. Internet circle jerking isnt what you should use for reviews. Thanks arreks for putting out content that's needed, and not whoring for salty likes,

Everyone stack status and combo like it's 2 piece Tuesdays at Popeyes Chicken. Learn how to chain combos, each javelin has its own chain effect. Colossus is an AOE explosion, the interceptor is an aura charge whatever status they hit becoms their aura, the storm is a status spread, so whatever status is on one will spread to the rest. And the rangers is a critical hit on a single target

I am really enjoying this game after giving it a try through Xbox ultimate pass. I'm assuming it's dead once you deck your inventory out, like Division 1 with classified sets and Division 2 with well... Now.

I understand these games never drop with much content but it was still fun for what it was. The problem with the internet puppets is these idiots listen to other idiots and never have their own opinions. That is an issue that can and will affect the game in the long run. To be honest, in todays gaming generation almost any multiplayer game that gets released are always quoted"incomplete"'too many flaws""micro transaction"...etc. multiplayer games are supposed to generally be better in upcoming patches, dlcs. Rarely will you get a multiplayer let alone shooter looter be almost near perfect in day 1 in which you can only expect in single player games. I only hope people judge a game in its content and not the developer just because of its previous history. If you really like this game or any game despite critic reviews get it because end of the day its your time and money, no one's stopping you.

I bought Anthem on PS4 and have played maybe 25 hours since the time it released. All these guys on streams have probably endlessly hammered this game for a full 3 days after launch on PC without any sleep....getting hungry and cranky and maybe need to poop. It's time to get some nap nap and take a bottle...or an I.V.
I don't know what game these haters are playing, but I'm having fun with Anthem. I've taken my time with the story and do most missions with "randos" that has actually been pleasant and fun to do. We already knew the demo had issues but overall, people expressed how much they liked the gameplay. Now, those same people are burned out and basically pi**ing on the game. It's not the same game I'm playing so far. I have played some really bad games over the last 25 years and this isn't it, folks. I'm going back to playing Anthem. I like it.

It is definitely fun, but unfortunately I have had too many crashes to title screen, just 1 infinite loading screen though. There is definitely a good game there, I am enjoying the characters in Fort Tarsis, but crashes at least 1 per mission is not good. The join friends mechanic is also quite confusing, sometimes it just works and others it waits till you join freeplay then immediately loads you to the invite, then at the end crashed on the rewards screen so had to rejoin all over again. Maybe I am just very unlucky, but going to keep playing as when it works, it good. I probably couldn’t recommend it to a friend though at this time due to the technical stuff.

I'm so glad there are many others out there who love the game too. I have been infuriated by the ridiculous false clickbait reviews and have commented on many of them, only to realise that there are some seriously toxic people out there. This game looks absolutely amazing on ultra on PC and I was blown away with it visually, not to mention the gameplay and flying mechanics being absolutely awesome. It's sad that so many retarded people like the little sheep they are feel all big and proud by not trying the game because they are apparently so glad they've saved their money etc. Absolute fools, seriously. I mean, anyone who looks at this game and isn't impressed visually must be impaired, visually. And anyone who states that the gameplay is boring hasn't tried the game, they can't have done, because the flying is so fluid and awesome that you'd have to be a complete asshole to try and suggest it's not impressive. The hate on this game is real, but it's not warranted AT ALL. I'm 33 years old and love a wide variety of games, I've never been one to hate on games, instead always trying to look for the good in things, and there's much to like in Anthem if given the chance. The comments like "those who buy this game are part of the problem" frustrate me the most, because the delusional idiots don't seem to understand that their negative hate is THE problem and that is what f**ks things up even more, because studios get shut down and talented people lose their jobs and confidence, all because some snotty nosed little turds spread the word that a new game is bad, when in reality it's not even remotely true. What a shitty place the internet has become in many ways. Something with amazing gameplay mechanics (and visuals) like anthem gets torn to shreds, all the while f**king mindless battle royale games get all the credit in the world. Not like you do in most first person shooters if that is what you mean. You upgrade them by finding a higher lvl version of the weapon or one with different bonus stats. But no you cannot change optics or anything.
