I am also a two-time survivor and the journey is indeed accompanied by this community, family, friends, and medical personnel. Being from Ohio, I thought I had no family here but I was so wrong. It turns out I have a BIG family here in this community. We went to The James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio for a second opinion this summer as my walking has taken a hit with nerve damage from cancer. I just wanted to be sure we were on the right path of treatment. I was thrilled to hear after two days of tests that I was getting the best care possible in rural Oregon with Dr. Bronstein's guidance. Dr. B was supportive of our seeking the second opinion and gracious when I told him what the James had to say about my treatment here in La Grande. I am still taking oral meds. I am grateful for every day when I awake and grasp joy where I find it. Candis, my neighbor, has been my hero through her journey and I am thrilled to have her among us today. Thank you for this witness to killing Chuck!
