The closest to the real thing is the Yamaha SA-2000 with the Tokai copy coming a close second. That said I find both the Gibson 335 and the Les Paul a bit too dull and muddy for my taste.
I've wanted this shape of Guitar for so long shame being in the UK incurs shipping excess as a few Birdland copies available. I have a Vintage VSA 650 myself bird's-eye finish my favorite of 28 guitars never seen another like it great review as always John .

Very interesting. Thanks John.
Some lovely playing. You can tell you've been doing this for a long time.
Just 50 years.
John Coupland I hope I'm as good in another 40 odd years. Actually I hope I'm alive in another 40 years!
I know I'm the novice here but that sounds really nice..
Nice guitar
What's the best ES335 copy you've ever tried? I just bought a Vintage VSA535 and I'd love to know what you think
