Hi Craig,I’m seriously considering buying an LS600HL with the luxury rear seat package(previously owned an LS400 and LS430)
Any other useful info on these cars before I start my search? I’ll also be running mine as a daily.

Hi, thanks for watching and sorry i havnt managed to get more videos on the car filmed. As an owner of earlier generations you’d feel right at home in the LS600, much of the switchgear and screens will be similar in design but a step more modern. The ride is also another step above but similar sense of comfort. Where you’d notice the difference is the level of luxury is another step forward, quality of leather is better and the huge number of luxury features takes things to the next level, especially with the RSR pack with the VIP seat with massage function.
Been running mine as a daily now for a year and have covered 10,000 miles. It hasnt skipped a beat and day to day running costs have been no more than the volvo v70 i had before it. Tax is £33 a month and i achieve 26-28mpg over a typical tank of fuel, up to 34-35mpg on long motorway runs. Again what will be similar to what you are used to is the wear and tear maintenance items on suspension components with these being big heavy cars. Many of the things that can go wrong will be the same as on the LS430 etc.
Practicality wise the LS600 isnt the most practical car vs other luxury limos because you can’t put the rear seats down and the boot is slightly smaller than other cars in the class all due to the hybrid batteries being hidden behind the seats between them and the boot. That said i had a full car of people and their luggage for a trip to germany a few months back and it was absolutely fine. But its not big enough boot for a full size baby pram for example.
My car is actually for sale right now if you’re uk based - i’ll include the link to the pistonheads advert below which is very detailed. I have a baby being born very soon and ready to find my next interesting daily so its time to move on. Im happy to consider offers.

Great video on the LS600hl! I was so tempted to buy an LS over the years. Huge Lexus fan here - previously had the SC and RX, now on the LC. Can't wait to see your next video. PS also just subscribed :)

Thats very kind of you, thanks! The LC is a fab looking machine too. Anything you’d like me to cover on a future video on the LS?

The interior features? maybe what the car is like to own on a daily basis? @@CraigOnCars

Nice introduction to the car, look forward to seeing more content 😁 I'd like to see it in a drag race... Perhaps with something like a Mustang? 😂😂

@@CraigOnCars in all seriousness though, a drag race against its rivals would make a cool video, just to find someone with a 760, an s600 and a runway 😂

Beautiful car. I don't quite know how exactly these powertrains work. Can the engine be revved when in neutral and stationary? When does the engine come in on acceleration? I do love a bit of noise from my cars and I since I want to potentially buy one of these in future, wonder how this would sound with a backbox delete

    • @CraigOnCars

The hybrid system cuts in and out as it deems fit (though it has an ‘EV’ button you can press to be in pure EV mode in certain conditions). Yes of course the engine can be revved when in neutral and stationary, and whilst its subtle you can definately enjoy the V8 noise 😊. Engine is on most of the time in fact, with the battery power supporting the engine probably as a way to improve economy and reduce stress on the engine. Though at certain lower speeds in urban areas you’ll notice the engine cut out completely and you drive along in EV mode only for a short time until the battery is drained or you ‘accelerate excessively’ as the message that pops up on the binacle screen informs you 🤣

Why does it matter to you if the engine can be revved in neutral?

Is this using more petrol than the LS430?
