My cousin was a sex addict. He watched this show, and was fucking blown away by how accurate and real they made Angel. He loved how they didn’t hold back at all and gave a realistic, visceral depiction of what that kinda stuff is like. He spent late nights at sex clubs and orgy kinda things, and It’s all the regret, the humiliation and pain that you mask and pretend like you don’t care and it doesn’t bother you, but it’s always there. You try to drink and do crazy things to forget and take your mind of it, but eventually it fucking explodes. Back in 2014 he tried to kill himself, failed and spent a year and a half in rehab. He’s been fine for nearly 8 years, and told me to watch the show. Most fun and entertaining thing I’ve seen in ages!
I'm really glad that your cousin failed to kill himself and I'm really glad he's ok. And he was absolutely right about watching the show. I hope he stays ok.
poor guy. i hope he is ok rn and i hope he doesn't attempt to kill himself. i believe he was right about watching those shows. i have watched it myself and i think the whole sex-related thing is kinda weird in my opinion. i am not a sex addict and i never will be in the future. but, i really loved the song Poison from episode 4. it was just so dramatic and cool to watch. Angel must have had a bad life after he sold his soul to a sex addict making himself one too. How i know Angel sold his soul, idk. but, what i do know is he sold his soul to Valentino(or Val for short) and became addicted to sex related things. it is kinda cringe but i seen how he sold his soul to Val but i can't really explain it all since i don't understand much of why he did.
I’m glad your cousin is okay and has been doing so well these past few years. Always an encouraging thing to hear someone’s story and how they survived a really dark time in their life. Thanks for sharing!
I have borderline personality disorder and I was kinda sex addict. That was my addiction and what Angel sings about... Pretty much what I lived, and without not knowing what I had
Vivziepop have said that Hazbin Hotel have actually a more serious plot and lineal story than Helluva Boss, also is a musical (Helluva Boss have music, but Hazbin Hotel IS a musical)
I know you're right, but I also think it's kind of hilarious considering my roommate and I recently finally showed Helluva Boss to a friend who burst into tears at the end of "Ozzie's" and needed to spend some time in the bathroom to calm down. Helluva Boss goes to some serious, deep places, which I love for it because I wouldn't be as invested in it as a series if it didn't.
@@nyambura7698 Huh? How was Truthseekers and Ozzie's from season 1 not serious? Or the very serious conversation between Stolas and Octavia in Loo Loo Land and melancholic song he sang to her? They didn't really change it. Season 1 served as a build up of the characters and various plot points that will no doubt be tied together eventually. Season 2 is where we delve deeper into each character and their layers to understand them better. Some episodes are lighter than others but the heavy emotions mixed with a dose of comedy have always been there.
Audio proof, Angel is showing signs the mask he wears to show the rest of Hell he's okay is cracking, and he is beginning to break under the years of torment at the hands of Valentino.
Honetly, the song is amazing, but the last line is so friggin devastating... almost makes me weep. It's weird how somebody can make you feel compassion for a cartoon character.
ikr! its truly heartbreaking when we discovered angel was being abused by val, but somehow im obsessed with val- FR VAL IS GONNA MAKE ME GO FROM LES TO BI--
According to Viv, Blake walked into the audition with no credits and blew them away. I can't wait to see the whole show. Angel is my favorite character. While its not canon, I suggest watching Addict. Its another banger song about Angel. Just like with Look my Way, it was written by a fan and Viv loved it so she had a music video made. Also if you haven't watched the pilot, I reeeally recommend you do before you start the show. Unlike with Helluva Boss, the Hazbin pilot is still considered canon to an extent. The second half shows Alastor's arrival and how he gets involved. Judging from the trailer, the show is going to pick up where the pilot left off.
That crack in his voice is part of his voice acting tbh, the talent of this VA in general being able to not only put on an accent for the character but also sing in that accent is just so amazing!
4:38 the thing is while helluva boss is dealing with hell borns hazbin hotel is dealing with sinners witch give them opportunity to ge real dark with it Also while helluva boss doesn't have a consistent antagonist hazbin hotel is going to have overlords and angels and Adam (literal Adam from Adam and Eve) which are confirmed antagonists The comedy is going to be there but alot of serious stuff going to be there too
The fact that he had no idea how dark the video was when reacting to this song makes me so so curious what his reaction will be when he sees the episode.

Dude if you like the lyrics to this song, you should check out Angel Dust's other song "Addict". It's from a few years back, before the characters got new voice actors, but seriously that song is AMAZING as well. Tackles a similar theme and I would highly recommend you watch it. Also, the actual pilot for Hazbin Hotel is also a fun watch, especially if you are going to be watching the full Prime series once it releases. Love your content!
Hazbin hotel literally had me crying in multiple parts of most the episodes. Super good, great show and amazing plot with perfect music to add to the story
I have “watched” this show at least 10 times in full however the first time I watched it in full (and often since) I put it on on my phone with headphones in and listened to it and that last bit of poison pulled me hard out of whatever the fuck I was doing and I litterally rewatched that song almost 5 times that sitting alone. His delivery is insane

I absolutely love this show and this song and the entire episode made me cry I get very emotional with this song due to the way he delivers it and that last line where you can here him breaking down doesn't fail to put me in tears

I interpreted it was more to do with something with Valentino considering the comics and the lyrics of the song. Especially with the reference to Addict, which (from the music video) was more to do with Val than directly with drugs. Also the body suit Angel wears in the album art is the same as the one from the trailer where he's performing at (assuming) Val's club. I could be wrong ofc, so I'm super excited to see where the song will fit into the show.

IKR? Glad you enjoyed it, this is incredible and the other Angel Dust songs are just as good. You should definitely react to the Hazbin Hotel pilot and the "Addict" music video before the actual show drops, they're too amazing to miss.
I recommend checking out the Addict music video by Vivzipop if you have not already. It is also a Hazbin hotel song and is related to the same character who sings the poison song.
I've watched helluva boss about four times now, so I can definitely say hazbin is likely to be even more in depth on emotion and the challenges of being oneself and authentic
If you haven't yet I recommend "Addict" to react to. It is in the same vein as "Look My Way" as it is a former fan made song that was redone into an official music video. Really fun and emotional! Plus watch to the end for the final lyrics.
I had much the same thoughts about the song. Prior to Hazbin I hadn't heard of Blake Roman but his voice is phenomenal. He conveys so much emotion in the way he sings and he knows just when to let that accent shine through. The lyrics themselves are heart wrenching and anyone who has been through a nasty relationship they felt they couldn't shake may relate. The video that accompanies the episode I know it had a mixed reception with the pop style dancing and the reality of the situation being played side by side but that jarring unease for me only highlighted there was a long way from what Angeldust showed to others and how he felt inside. That there's a facade so thick most people don't see Angel at all, he's just this hyper-sexual mess who is constantly looking for the next high when he's really just fronting that he wants to be where he is or he has to let everyone see how powerless he feels. It's so rare that this gets seen in the media, even briefly when it comes to men. To have a nuanced character that has a complex emotional response to trauma is so refreshing. And this may confuse people, his responses aren't consistent but anyone who has been there knows some days you cope better than others. Some people set you off more, or sometimes it's all shut down tight but a lack of sleep, poor health, a knock to self confidence, a drink etc. can see it all spill out. And sometimes it's easier to give in. And that they're all valid responses. There is no one way that we all deal with what comes our way. I hope this show goes on for a long time and they continue to tackle big feelings and write kickass tunes. And I so want to give Antony a hug and Valentino a swift kick to the not-so-happy sacks.
It is actually about Angel's abusive relationship with his Boss/Manager and if you actually listen to the lyrics it make such perfect sense and it is so damn depressive
I always love that he is focusing on mostly the vocals, this would only be better if there was a lyrical breakdown too, and the reaction to the last line, it appears everyone feels so much pain in the delivery of that line 9/10 reaction overall
If you love Poison, you should definitely check out the music video Addict. It was made in between the pilot and the Prime series and features the pilot voice actors for Angel and Cherri. And if you do, make sure to watch after the credits.
My only problem with the show and Helluva Boss's recent season is how fast-paced it is. It races through moments of pathos and reconciliation so quickly that it would hit harder if we were given more time to sit with these very serious and deeply emotional moments.
Look, if you haven't watched episode 6 yet, it is where things get A lot more serious and it swims away a bit from the funny, non consequencial episodes. I'm sure you'll love it
This show is SOOO good. More emotionally deep than HOAB but I like both. This song broke our hearts and the internet. Watching it as it plays in the episode will crush u worse than I was prepared for. Glad you like it. Love Angel ❤❤❤💀💀🖤🖤🎶🎶🎶
Yess! You should watch it as soon as it comes out. I've watched hazbin hotel and I don't think it's necessary to watch Hazbin Hotel since they are separate stories
One interesting difference between Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss is the differing focus on the denizens of Hell. In Helluva Boss, we're mainly dealing with individuals native to Hell. They were born there, and did nothing to "earn" a place in it. They are a literal representation of paying for the sins of the father. This isn't the case for Hazbin Hotel, as with the exception of Charlie and Lucifer (possibly some angels or kings of Hell), we're dealing with characters who had human lives, but were condemned to Hell as a result of their actions, not anyone else. This means that we are dealing with a cast who has already been judged for their lives...and found wanting. We saw in the pilot that many appear to have given up on redemption, and just want to make the best of eternity...often in a completely selfish way. This kind of setup doesn't lend itself to the varied arcs that we've seen...at least not initially. I am so looking forward to this show, but given where things are in Helluva Boss, I'm really waiting for its next episode.
It may be a rock song, but fuck me, it's metal lyrically. How heavy is this man? Life long Metal fan here and this is an utter banger. Blake has an amazing voice and absolutely kills Angel. Apparently Blake and Joel Perez are really close friends and are always apologising to each other for what they need to do and say ;-) It's defo a heavier series, but it's also so hilarious and heart warming. SIR PENTIOUS FOR THE WIN!
I feel like Hazbin Hotel is gonna tackle more serious topics, abuse, drug consumption, the whole idea of hell and afterlife without losing the funny side. I think that just like in Helluva the first episodes are gonna be more light-hearted before to start pulling out our hearstrings

I always love that he is focusing on mostly the vocals, this would only be better if there was a lyrical breakdown too, and the reaction to the last line, it appears everyone feels so much pain in the delivery of that line
9/10 reaction overall
Love hazbin hotel love Al the songs
If you love Poison, you should definitely check out the music video Addict. It was made in between the pilot and the Prime series and features the pilot voice actors for Angel and Cherri. And if you do, make sure to watch after the credits.
I already know all that has been hotel songs, especially poison, because I love angel dust
I JUST REALIZED IT COMES OUT IN LIKE 7 DAYSSS
Having seen the show now...
...they definitely made the right call to make this a lyric video instead of using the scene from the show.
The pilot of hazbin is out and from what I heard the events are canon in that but the visuals are not
Angels story is beyond heartbreaking...you just want to save him.
You really need to watch it!!!
Got to react to the show clip of this song, your heart brakes for this
Can't wait for "hell is for forever"
Hazbin Hotel has been discussed as being MUCH darker and already has known serious themes including Angeldusts' AKA Blake Romans character
I just noticed that several times when he sings the word poison he almost spits the P a little bit. 😮
I'm sure you'll love it
Ever thought of doing a reaction to Addict? It's a tough competition between this and that one, but I think it comes out on top.
The pilot was awesome. 😮
Actually episodes 567 of hb are where it starts to get serious, Striker is the first competent antagonist and unfolds some things from Blitz's trauma
I got the early access and I was able to get a holo cherry and Lucifer
the song: 👏‼️🔥
the meaning: 😨💀.
You should definitely check out the music video called addict! Its from hazbin hotel to and its also about angel dust!
the only thing on my mind is that i hope this song is gonna be in the episode cant wait for the 19th
You might like to react to Nothing More, and their song "Spirits"! It's right up your alley!
Yess! You should watch it as soon as it comes out. I've watched hazbin hotel and I don't think it's necessary to watch Hazbin Hotel since they are separate stories
He has to listen to addict !!!!
i wish it was animated but the song is still 10/10
One interesting difference between Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss is the differing focus on the denizens of Hell.
There is another song about angel that is called Addicted you should watch it
Can someone please send me a link to his other channel? Cause I'm already loving how analytical his reactions are.
❤❤❤❤
Now you are down the whole in this universe...welcome
I feel like Hazbin Hotel is gonna tackle more serious topics, abuse, drug consumption, the whole idea of hell and afterlife without losing the funny side. I think that just like in Helluva the first episodes are gonna be more light-hearted before to start pulling out our hearstrings
hear me out
when he says ruthless his voice isn't cracking, he's hiccuping from being drunk
Oh, hahahaha..... Hazbin is going to break you, in the best way...... And I'll be watching you throughout, beautiful! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Have you listened to Addict by SilvaHound? It is also connected to Hazbin Hotel and it is a banger too!
Putri Ariani memang hebat dan sangat luar biasa ❤❤❤
Have you watched the pilot yet for Hazbin Hotel? Or are you waiting for the show to premier?
ADDICT next PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!🎶🔥✌
You need to react to Addict. It's also a great song about Angel Dust with bonus Cherri Bomb back story
