Maybe I'm just easily amused, but the little cat dance at 8:38 made me smile. I know it's stupid, but I can't help it.

05:27 - the one story mall.. Doesn't seem like many of those are left

We still have the same one-story mall where I'm from in California but it's definitely seen better days. Most of the other malls around here are two-story mega malls.

The 'old' mall in Savannah, GA is a single story, but it has sprawled to twice it's original size that I remember from the mid 80's. But they love it. The two story mega mall 4 miles away, built in 91 was inches from going under around 08-09, but the old one has always thrived.

Here's the layout of the mall near me in Capitola, CA: i.imgur.com/sYjzswU.jpg All of the department stores have changed in it over the years except for Sears, but the size of the mall has remained the same since the mid 80's.

I did a little research, and it turns out they're owned by the same firm and if not for the success of the old one, the new one would have folded long ago. That solves how the new one stays open despite 40% vacancy. Odd case of old carrying the new

Some single-story malls such as the Bayshore Mall in Eureka, CA, were built as such, but others like the former County East Mall in Antioch, CA or Coddingtown Mall in Santa Rosa, CA began life as outdoor malls/shopping centers that were later roofed over. Malls in general are having a hard time these days; the ones in Antioch and Santa Rosa have undergone extensive renovation and are thriving, while Bayshore has not and is very close to becoming a 'dead mall.'

    BE THERE count: 2.
    1) Belk Lindsey (now just Belk)
    2) Uncommon Valor featuring Reb Brown, Slab Bulkhead himself from Space Mutiny as the demolitions expert.
No bad NBC programming around here, but we still gotta be there.

That Vanderbilt commercial gave me the TBT feels in the worse way. They aired it for so many years too.
