Technically LotR is *also* a single book. And a trilogy. And alao 6 books. Its weird. I have a sigle book print of the whole thing, and it splits itself into "3 books" that are further subdivided into 2 books each.

I forget the exact figure but it was something like 250 million to even make something decent. He's also said he doesn't know anything about making film and to get good people for a project that big you need the knowledge a studio has. Unless he did some crazy animated thing where just a few people worked on it, it's extremely unlikely he'll make a movie in house. But he is Brandon...

No other author’s books other than the Bible have made me rethink myself and the things happening around me like yours have, so again thank you for everything. As a Zambian who enjoys Sanderson, I find myself shedding LITERAL tears every time I see merch I can't get because of where I live with a tiny reading community 😭 I pray the Fandom grows enough to deserve them

So far, I am really enjoying it and I get really excited to get home from work and wait until around 9 for my son to go to sleep so I can dig in. The Prototypes make me so excited. The only thing with quality I expected was the "decals" which are cute and I'll love them. But my god those banners exceed what I expected, and the charm sets are amazing. I lost my job in May, I don't have enough money to get anything. I hope to find a job this month, hopefully i don't have to move but if I do, I will make sure to find something that will allow me to build a college fund for my son while also sating the thirst for more books.

I've only recently started The Stormlight Archive. I finished WoK in 6 days. Been taking WoR a bit slower. I don't want to binge it all and the novellas and be done waiting for 5. Though it seems once 5 comes out I will have to wait 3 years for 6. At least we are going to get a book 6 with Stormlight. Unlike with ASOIF. I still have hope that GRRM will finish The Winds of Winter. Call me crazy, but I still have hope. But i cannot wait for 5 to come out. I'm hoping to get a signed copy.
