Really digging this guide, especially the behind-the-scenes bits! I'm an artist myself and sharing that inside look into my process has brought me closer to my audience. I've been using boost app social to help with content ideas, bios, captions, etc. It's a bit of a lifesaver. Cheers!
Heck yeah! boost app social is a gem! It’s been my go-to for adding some extra spark to my posts. 🚀
1. 2:00 Q&A sessions on IG live, get questions from a post or story. Gives fans insight
2. 3:28 BTS, go live or record while making beats, etc. then cut it up and put it on social
3. 5:18 Rough ideas, test your content on IG, "tell me what you think" no huge production value
4. 6:10 Recap video, especially for non-local fans, capture the vibe, cut it down to shorter video
5. 7:38 Personal stories, pics, videos; show you have a life outside music. relatable stuff real-life stuff

I simply can't stand social media. I've found other things that work for me so I don't have to be on social media or run paid ads, like most musicians do. I guess that's one benefit of doing relaxation music. Haha. If you really don't want to do social media or paid ads and you're not doing relaxation music (meditation apps are the solution for tons of free traffic and plays for this genre), then just focus on Spotify and getting into legit playlists. This channel has some good tips on how to do well on Spotify. If you really don't like something, don't force yourself to do it just because everyone says you have to. There's always another way that will resonate with you, you just gotta find it. Because if you force yourself to do something you genuinely don't like a couple of things will happen. 1. Your audience will be able to see right through that and not care about your content. 2. You're gonna burn yourself out by trying to be consistent with something you simply don't enjoy at all. It's taken me a long time to realize this and I realized it a while back. I hope this realization helps whoever reads this comment because your emotional and mental health is important. You're not forced to do anything that makes you unhappy. Simply find another way.
😀👍❤️
As a guy who does not use social media as most do, it has been trying to get content I feel is worthy of posting. I don't really do selfies much. I imagine as my career progresses this becomes easier, as I can take photos with artists and producers I work with and the places I go with music.
I am just beginning to use TikTok to promote as well. Its a new thing for an introvert like me to put myself out there. Appreciate the great content! Take care.
I’m not naturally good at social media either. I like living in the moments more than capturing them. But it’s necessary.
I struggle with the same thing! I never know what to post 🙈
I hate social media too so I totally get that. I've found other things that work for me so I don't have to be on social media or run paid ads, like most musicians do. Really appreciate the tips man! I often times get stuck and feel like I have to post a new idea or riff/lick and its not everyday that I have something cool, new, and interesting that I want to play on guitar for my audience. I'm hoping to become a lot more consistent this upcoming year. Hope all of us can learn to share more of our lives!
Love this! I agree with you, as a fan of artists, I always loved the more meaningful songs than the hit records. I can relate more with real life scenarios than bling bling
I started a one woman business that provides just this for local artists. Social media is the new enlightenment and a great way to promote. When artist are busy working on music content, i step up and manage their social media persona and brand. Thank you for highlighting this!
Good stuff. Besides my music, I post a lot of motivational content, things about my life, or just some of my fears and insecurities. I watch what musicians with many more followers are posting about and try to emulate what they're doing!
Great work! Love the format and I'm just starting to try and grow on social media and RUclips. Thanks for the tips!
I feel blessed that I landed on this video- thank you so much! Currently I post snippets of my RUclips covers and skits. Not much BTS. Much love and best wishes!
This is so cool... I appreciate this pool of knowledge
Be great don’t settle and stay grinding 💯
Hit home tonight, from a guy just trying to get a page going. Thank you!
Awesome info....Gave me new insight because there is a lot more to share about ourselves than just our MUSIC :-)
This is very true. Ill follow up on this ideas
Good ideas man. Thx for sharing
Much needed, you’re appreciated! 🙏🏾
Thanks for watching!
I'm excited for this
This is great. But I sing and model a bit on the side. On my IG page I just only have cover songs, I will definitely incorporate these suggestions. Especially the Behind the scenes. I never thought anyone would be interested. Thank you so much!🙏❤️
I really like the idea of a recap. I don't yet play many gig, but I'm always doing livestreams while I'm busking or in the woods - so perhaps doing a video afterwards, talk about what happened, engagement with the public, the things on the streets etc.
absolutely. and if you have a friend that can get some footage of you in action, that would be even better.
Wow, thank you.. I just started a channel but didn't know what to do at all... Thank you so much👍
Extremely helpful thanks bro 🔥👑
Thanks for the info man, very helpful!

Yeah, I've been testing some new equipment and I think I got a faulty mic cable. It'll be fixed soon.
Fantastic content. Big Thanks!
You really save the best for last, thanks for the tips
Great video mate, Some crackles but then I saw you said you had a faulty cable. Only mentioned it as was adjusting all my audio on my computer and moaning to myself how rubbish my computer is. Your tips are great and you are so chilled in the way you talk, I could listen for hours. Hate those that are shouting at you with emojies flying all over the screen. Cool as a cucumber. All the way from the gray raining UK. Take Care.
This is the best video on RUclips literally
💯
Thank man, I really love your content. It's my first time and I have subscribe. But I would love if you do a video about upcoming artist and what advice would you give them. Much Love from 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

Great video! I also like to post songs by other artists who I like and I like to post motivational quotes, facts dealing with black history and sometimes art to show people I’m more than just a musician.
These are great content ideas. Thanks for watching, Jailan!
What’s good Bro? So apart from being a rapper I have a Shopify store where I sell Merch that I design on Printful. My content normally consists of a slide show of photos of an item with my music playing in the background.
In addition to this I utilize Distro kid’s meme generator.
🙏🏽
PS! LOVE KANYE!!! & He's one of my most requested artists to perform on my livestreams!
Super helpful!!! Very unique tips. I love the way you think! Messianic Recording artist and author, michelle gold
I’ve tried A LOT of fun stuff and feel like there’s too many choices! I need an Angel like you to tell me what to do! Here’s what I’ve enjoyed: 1- SELF HELP videos (I enjoy making those!), and 2- inspirational messages. Also tried 3- the “story behind the song” videos for each songs on my album. 4- jamming w my guitar on cover songs in my living room 5- church service/ 2 cover songs /music before church w my hubby preaching. Love your recap and personal life idea!
Thanks!
Should I be worried about posting lyrics or hooks without them being copyrighted?
Thank you so much man !!! But I think you should maybe get a new little microphone too
Yeah, when this video was filmed I was dealing with a faulty interface. It's been fixed since then.
I'm a musician and 3D artist, can I also post my art on my music page?

Hey I am a newbie RUclipsr . I make contents about editing and vlogging so recently one of my friend from Nigeria told me to edit his videos but it was for free he said he doesn't have any money and paypal does not work there is it true that no paying system works in Africa to India? How the money system works in Nigeria and Kenya? Is Paypal available there? Do they can transfer money to India? Can you please tell me how does it work? Please please I really really need this help right now
do you have any videos on how to make money on youtube without being a youtube partner & leverage our fan base on tiktok & other platforms...before we blow up with our music?? Like I have 168,000 fans on tiktok...yet I make no money...can you help me?? TYSM! I wanna give GREAT STUFF that REALLY helps other entertainers and make money from my business with the content/products/classes etc...tysm :)
Would I be better off avoiding personal posts before I actually get supporters. I have about 20 right now.
not necessarily. just make sure your personal content ties well with your musical content.
@@mastermusicmarketing cheers mate!
Would you be interested in critiquing my Facebook page? I could really use your advice?
Hi there! We do website/social media reviews in our private coaching community. It’s called Master Music Marketing, and you can join at mastermusicmarketing.com
Hello life is calling don't believe the hype that the world is bad stay in and make music for next to nothing in profit Major music labels are trying to destroy competition thru streaming laws that only non label artist get paid by That's right only you and indie distributors get paid this .05 to .025 cents per download. Write your lawmakers!
Your voice clipping
This is all talk and no example like a lot of social media teaching. Furthermore how come when I mention how are you suppose to post 3 times a day and still have time for your life and (Quality!) beat making no body answers back. I'm a trained musician and I see this is fake
best way to post often while having some sort of normal life is to schedule in advance using apps like Later, Hootsuite, etc.
Sharing songs idea on social media????😂 here is a guide on how to get your music stolen
🤬 WOW, guys please don't take this ADVICE! A musician is someone that plays an actual instrument! How nobody point out the fact that he NEVER mentions any instruments in any videos? If you don't play and instrument but still perform! That makes you an ARTIST, NOT a MUSICIAN! THIS shit is nonsense.
