the King Bob-omb fight may have been broken, but it seemed kind of interesting having to throw across a gap to damage him. Perhaps that could be turned into a boss mechanic for the King Bob-omb fight?
I like the idea of island hopping to keep getting higher, but since we don't have canons to launch out of I think the best play is to make it so you have to do some platforming on smaller islands before jumping into a flight to the next major island or something. Riding the Thwomp up to begin flying seem a bit slow.
@@TheCodePhoenix I just remembered! I did make the islands with the bob omb canon in mind, and when I found out they didn't exist, I went the wing cap route. That's why it's so weirdly balanced!
I think it's a decent level, but I think the problem is that the skybox and theme don't match with each other, I thought you would settle on a theme for your level, like, you can make it beach themed, desert themed, it would be more visually appealing imo, it's just weird that the skybox is a dark forest and the environment theme is grass
@@pixelissimo Definitely, I was still very much in that phase of just experimenting. What you're looking at was like a 60% done and tested level before I moved on to another concept (which became Goomba City).

@Anzen777 That's actually an interesting idea for a king bob omb boss platform!

I thought the skybox was fine tbh, made me think it took place at night, skybox and theme is the least of the concerns imo.
