- In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. RUclips earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

Dear Stephanie and Lalanders, my name is Carlo and my partner and I are the caretakers (and servants) of Sole and Pippo, the dogs mentioned in the segment about the Italian animal rescue centre.
On behalf of the Associazione La Quercia Rossa I would like to thank you all for mentioning our charity. I hope you enjoyed the few small things we sent; it wasn't much, but due to the difficult times the Associazione is going through, unfortunately we didn't have more to offer.
If during one of your trips through Europe you'll happen to go by Turin, please stop by and we'll gladly show you our rescue centre and the work we do for our little guests.

I hope Stephanie and Philip read that Caroline, I agree it would be nice for them to send a donation. Chateau Diaries receives so much in gifts and other revenue, wouldn't it be great if they could pay it forward? Animal rescues are in desperate need of our help.

I am so glad Mummy found Percy and they are so compatible with one another she seems to get younger and younger instead of older, they are so happy together, and so good for one another, as are Phillip and Stephanie, God is so good. Here, the sounds at night are incredible. I understand the owl gathering is called a parliament; I'd call it a spooky nightmare if one didn't know it was owls. Other worldly sounds!
Hi have you ever thought about building a dovecote... if they had somewhere safe to roost they might not be so keen on the roof ! Plus dovecotes are just beautiful things ... full of happy pigeons .. even better 🐦

When my daughter lived in Chicago pigeons perched on a ledge above the entrance and pooed on the steps. She bought a life sized plastic owl from the garden shop and mounted that on the balcony. No more pigeons, no more poo!
I put bird spikes up to deter the pidgeons from my balcony, as well as a wash of diluted bleach. They hate the smell.
Get Percy an owl suit and he can say "WhooooWhooo!"
For that perfume locket, you take a tiny piece of fabric sprinkled with your scent and pin it to the red fabric inside so the scent stays true and does not change with ones body heat etc.. As well you can easily change out the scent, unlike if you were to spray the red fabric directly.

The outdoor patios in San Antonio use big hard plastic owls to keep away the pigeons. Works!
We use them on Boats you to keep seagulls away.

Good evening from the SF Bay Area. Today's cadeau was lots of fun and full of peacocks. By the way, I noticed last week when you opened my book The Art of Chappell Rose Holt, the peacock fly leafs stuck together which they often do because of the gold paint. Be sure to open them up for a lovely surprise, both front and back. Love to all the wonderful Lalanders!

Those turbans, I had a turban for my wedding. That said, it’s reminding me too, a little of “Grey Gardens” or Gloria Swanson in “Sunset Boulevard.” “I’m ready for my close up Mr. DeMille.”
Could the perfume locket at 30:16 also be used for essential oils? Just a summery thought to help keep the bugs away while enjoying Lalande grounds and woods. Proven bug repellent scents include lemon eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint, geranium, sages, and of course, citronella. Web MD suggests using products with a registration number: Buy a repellent that is registered with the EPA as an actual repellent. This means it is tested and proven to work.
the plant nurseries in South Africa sell amazing life size owls that blink and their heads nod in the breeze. that might work!

Could I make a suggestion? As we have a dining area outside and the birds like to hang out there and leave things behind we got an owl that is fairly life like and 15" tall with a head that swivels to give the impression of being alive. It has worked extremely well. So that with the sounds of an owl might just do the trick

We have 2 life-size resin owls around our property to keep the hawks, possums and snakes away from the house. They work.🦉😊❤

The Dominique cosmetics is one of my favorites, not that exact palette but I love her formula. The Vise art palette is $78 just so you know. I used to work for a beauty influencer if you could tell. Haha The Spongelle is probably to rough for mommy but just know as you get it wet after the first couple uses it will soften up. I use one all the time, very effective to get that dead skin off. Make sure you follow with a nice body lotion. Also tell your mom that if she puts the oil on to put a lotion on afterwards and let it sink in and it probably won’t get your pillows stained as much from the oil.
Oh what great fun you all are going to have going through all of that make up and skin care. How generous!

Essential oil locket
I have come to the conclusion that the widemouth cups are for tea and the more narrow ones are for coffee. I got some really neat looking coffee cups but they’re too wide on the top and my coffee almost instantly goes cold so now I’m going to have to plant something in them or find another use for them.

There are actual size plastic owls that move their heads (bounce) in garden stores. You must move them from place to place. I also have had pidgeon problem. Spiky edgers make impossible for them to sit.
