Amaury I truly love hearing about all of the things that your childhood held, thank you for sharing with is. I love hearing about all of the things that were precious to you. Thanks for coming tonight !!! Please come again !
Amaury too has some great stories to tell. I think both cousins grew up having a very exotic upbringing. They appear to be very knowledgeable about a tons of various things. Both are extremely well rounded. Another lovely unwrap.
Hello Carolyn, I have 8 Grandchildren, & I wonder if they will remember me with fondness, & special memories, & mementos. I have wonderful memories of my hilarious grandma. She made everything a joy. I managed to get two items from her. One a special Porcelain metal Turkey Tray. Another is a white old medical Doctor cabinet. She had a skeleton key to it on a string tied to her bra! She was an amazing cook & baker. My first memories of the cabinet, was age 3-4 years old. I remember looking up through the glass sides, into the top seeing it filled with pies, cakes! She would say, “When you eat your dinner, you can choose one.” She taught me to bake. I have taught my grandkids. Still working on it, as two are 6 & 7. New first great grand baby on the way. Blessings to you.
@@peggyvick935 love the skeleton key memory! I had a grandmother who loved watching wrestling on TV in the 50's. Gorgeous George was her hero. My other grandma made a lot of my clothes and I have such wonderful memories of her pinning the pattern pieces to me while I was standing on a table. So yes, grandmothering is a real art. I also have a good friend who is expecting her first great grand baby, how wonderful.
Amaury, you have such lovely Parents! One of my favorites was watching your Mother’s reactions to all the celebratory moments in honor of her Birthday 🎂. That was so well done.👍
I absolutely love when Amaury joins in on the gifts. The banter between cousins reminds me of myself and my brother when we are together. I am so excited for you next table setting with the new table linens from Michael. it will be so wonderful. I also love the tea cups and plates and the story surrounding them. This Cadeaux was sooo much fun.
Amaury it’s so nice to see you join the cadeaux crew. It was also fun to hear you and Stephanie reminisce about your maman and hers with the French perfume waters. My grandmother would always scent our bed linens with lavender. I will always love that scent. Much love to all at LaLande
Stephanie. I’m so delighted my gift arrived. Yes I made the bag at home in Umhlanga. Durban. I was on holiday in Cyprus and posted it from there. I’m a wine drinker, so very impressed the bag can multitask. !!! Enjoy x JOY and Hilt. X
And she would make it absolutely HILLARIOUS❗️😂🤣😂🤣 Add in the elusive Nick! Also Amaury Dad. The houses should be numbered, so Judges do not know maker.
Wow that table cloth set from the mysterious and oh-so-generous Michael is a-MAZ-ing! 😍And the relief I felt when I saw it came with place settings, cos I was gonna say, you guys are NOT allowed to spill anything on that table cloth 😅 Philip, pretty please do us a table setting with it and the yellow charger plates you mentioned...I don't think I can wait until your summer to see it. And I absolutely agree with Amaury about the undervalued hand-made furniture compared to Ikea (we don't have one here in Christchurch, thank goodness, though I did shop in one in Cranford, New Jersey, and I must say I was blown away. But my values have shifted and I tend to buy pre-loved items these days, including ovens and cooling fans for summer., and clothes etc.) It was another delight to watch the opening of all those stunning gifts (the Swarovski! 🤩) and I really enjoyed the 3 of you together. Love, Jacqueline from New Zealand 🦔🐾🐿
Loved seeing Amaury properly for the first time. He usually manages to stay in the background, or sneak away completely, but tonight it was a treat to see him enter into proceedings with such humour and interesting stories of childhood. So enjoyed all three of you interacting as only lifelong relations can. And LOVED that crystal hedgehog clutching his apple. Adorable.
It was so nice having Amaury here at "Cadeaux"! I loved the childhood stories, as so many have said! The gifts were wonderful and amazing, of course, but the banter, joy and love that you all share with each other (and with us) really brightens my day! Thank you!
Amaury needs to be more regular in cadeaux, I love all his stories. Also, a friend of mine always has a gingerbread house decorating competition party. The houses are already constructed and everyone is divided into teams to decorate with icing and candy. It's a lot of fun.
Amaury I just love you 😅your subtle humour brings La lande back to the real world. You are so interesting as well as talented. Wonder how many sneaky whiskies you had to have before taking part lol. 🤗
With Philip being so into creatures, or critters as we say in the south, I hope he has watched the Fantastic Beasts movies. The creatures are the best part. Love the interaction with everyone who participates in these videos. It gives us a chance to get to know them better.
My favourite thing tonight was the little Duckling. The three of them brought genuine fun and laughter, plenty of banter between them, talking of things of past times and loved ones. The genuine love and effection they share, It was great to see the worry or confusion on Amaurys face when he was thought to have been engaged 💍. It would be great xxx💕
Another enjoyable video. Lovely watching the three of you together. Keep up the important work you are all doing behind the scenes. Stephanie your a national treasure and a great Ambassador for France. Greetings from England.
Michael sends such exquisite gifts. Lovely to see more of your very handsome and sweet cousin. I would love to visit Lalande and bring my 18thC gown, made with my own fair hands, to wear to dinner. I also have a day dress complete with the Breton straw hat, for strolls in the garden picking flowers.
The three of you are the best. I love when your together and just talking. I feel like I’m in the room wanting to participate in the conversation. The gifts are truly lovely 😅. And purple is my favorite color. Sending much love to the three of you. Keep the videos going. They make my day. And Spring in Colorado is way behind here. Spring flowers are so beautiful. Your lucky that your bulbs have come up. Take care and stay safe. God’s blessings.
Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 cousins unwrapping gifts. Amaury was so enthusiastic and lovely to hear of family traditions with cologne and wine. His parents are adorable. The Swarofski (spelling) ducks, rose and hedgehog were stunning.
This Chateau Unwrapped was so special...loved hearing Amaury reminiscing...he needs to be part of opening gifts more, he's so warm and wonderful...the three of you did a wonderful job...great video! Thank you so much for sharing, take really good care of yourselves and each other, stay well! Lots of love Kathy x
This is just as if someone was traveling the world and shipping everything from far away lands back to the Chateau to be opened by the loved ones to enjoy and preserve. I have a feeling you pinch yourselves routinely on just how lavish your lifestyle has become.
You brought back happy memories when you mentioned filling up the large bottles with a pump nozzle of wine. We use to stay at st. Tropez or Port Grimoud and drive to a little village and fill up. I think the deposit on the flagon was more than the Red Wine. Happy days fifty years ago.
I would love to see Michael T and some of your other regular gift givers (like the lady from Austria) on chateau unwrapped someday! They give such thoughtful, generous and amazing gifts. Really, everyone does do this. It would be fun to "meet" some of the regulars.
Amaury..great idea about the gingerbread houses. My sister in law started this tradition a couple of years ago. 3 generations do this competition a couple of weeks before Christmas; they are a village in my sister in law's dining room till New Year eve. Then the children blow them up with firecrackers( many adults involved). Safety first!
Amaury is such a sweetheart, like your Phillip. So good to see such lovely guys who have emphay for the lovely things in life. You are truley blessed Stephanie, as are they with you., Love and hugs from Devon, England. xxx
Loved this vlog. You all have such a wonderful dynamic together. Watching you interact, laugh and share makes me feel like I am there with you all. Thank you, all three of you!!!
This was so incredibly fun to watch you three….thank you for the laughter and for sharing all your wonderful memories…. It is truly so lovely for you to share with the rest of the world. You are truly a light in the darkness, thank you.
Loved viewing this with the 3 of you so much🥰 The tea sets for Stephanie and Philip were so touching. It never ceases to amaze me the generosity of the gift givers and the specialness of each gift🥰
Really fun to hear you and Amaury reminisce. Would love to hear more about Petit Cle?. We are headed to Provence at the end of May and would like to try your favorite wine.
Stephanie...you don't need a green outfit. The necklace will look fabulous with all your yellow outfits as yellow and the shade of green are very compatible. I always very much enjoy Michael 's letters. He has splendid taste!
Love these videos, and me too, I kept some Christmas decorations up until Candlemas (la Chandeleur) this year, to make things cosy and remember an old tradition from some centuries ago. Warmest wishes to you all from Cambridge UK
Guys, just FYI! The inks in brightly colored wrapping paper contain metals which can give off toxic fumes into the room. Also they can ignite the creosote inside the chimney. Never burn it in the fireplace!
I was burning the wrapping paper one Christmas and enjoying the beautiful colors that it made until the fire broke out and set my mantle on fire. Luckily I was able to pull the mantle scarf off before the fire spread.
Hello to all. My daughter in law made a big gingerbread house Christmas and she even made the widows with very fine sugar and colours like a church window. You all have always so much fun it’s a pleasure to watch All the best for 2023
Amaury talking about his grandmother drizzling perfume on the sheets…my fav perfume is Mademoiselle by Coco Chanel and I spritz it on my sheets. I didn’t know I was doing something French! 😊
You just bring back to me a memory of my childhood, I spend all my summers in Provence (near Cavalaire sur Mer) and I remember my father and grandfather going to buy wine with tanks! Thanks, Melissa R.
I have those very same ducklings and the Parent ducks as well. I display them on a mirror in my Crystal Cabinet. But I was really shocked when I saw we have the same Rose as well. I’ve been collecting for years and give my husband the annual Christmas ornament from them every year since 2008. The hedgehog is absolutely perfect! Hugs from Houston
Amaury is such a gentleman, so caring and respectful, together with such a soothing voice. A good addition to the episode Steph and Phillip!
Amaury I truly love hearing about all of the things that your childhood held, thank you for sharing with is. I love hearing about all of the things that were precious to you. Thanks for coming tonight !!! Please come again !
I have loved Amaury ever since he appeared at LaLande.
@Kim Kerley
He's also very handsome too!!!
He seems very sweet.
He has become one of my favourite in the videos.
What's not to love about Amaury? When is his brother going to make an appearance?
Amaury too has some great stories to tell. I think both cousins grew up having a very exotic upbringing. They appear to be very knowledgeable about a tons of various things. Both are extremely well rounded. Another lovely unwrap.

Beautiful gifts and such a nice time! 🥰 Thank you Chateau Unwrapped, and everyone in chat
The port bottle in the bag...it sure beats the brown paper bag that most people use!!

You guys enjoy your exquisite gifts 😍
Cat would make a excellent judge in the Christmas Village Competition Cook Off!!!!💛

If you put a room fan in front of the fireplace with the back of the fan to the fire it will draw the heat out in to the whole room and heat it.
