Un-outlining Expanded Paths Workarounds

A frequent request Astute Graphics receives is for a tool that un-outlines expanded paths in Adobe Illustrator. This requirement is age-old, but more recently has been become an even more pressing issue due to expanded artwork arriving from iPad sketching apps.
