  • Today we’re pulling the motor on the E46 BMW
Decided that it’s not worth trying to rebuild a motor much easier just to replace it. Hope you enjoy.

Is that a coyote or a deer? Guess we know who was smoking what 😂😂
So next time just unbolt the ac compressor and there is enough slack to drape the condenser over the fender. No need to open the ac system. Power steering cooler can also lay across the other fender without disconnecting.

Come on bro. Pull the head and get the head resurfaced, replace the valve stem seals, check the block deck, install new head gasket with new bolts! Replace any other parts while there such as water pump, thermostat, hoses, gaskets etc. It's not hard

I understand where you’re coming from but most likely the head bolt threads have been pulled and it’s not advised to rethread thread bolts due to it being aluminum. I’m just looking at worst case scenario and what would be much more easier. Junkyard lengine has a warranty as well.

@@TAKU.2X I’ve revived tons of these engines that were overheated and they have all been okay. And your engine may or may not have been overheated

And go thru all that, just to strip the threads out of the block on final torque.
Replacement engine is $800 or so. Couple hundo for maintenance items and you’re good.
