Si & Stone are great additions. Good show today. You may not think of this as a Bible study today, but your interactions were loving & Biblical. Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY
A man shot a deer in the camp after dark. The deer ran to my dad, making crying sounds, laid it head in his lap & stared at him before it died. My dad never shot another deer after that. He said it broke his heart 😢
@@jesseboyden3119 Don’t know but he was an ass. Deer are curious & I’m sure it wondered in the camp to check it out. Also it was a young one. That years fawn.
Man, you gotta love these men who are keeping up the faith being such goofy, wild, strong, pioneer men!!! Truly, boys now days need to take notes because I don’t see boys here; I see men!!!
I really liked your podcast today. Thank you Si and Stone for serving. I’m proud to live in the United States. I’m thankful for our farmers, teachers, nurses, doctors. Thank you all.
I was born and raised in West Virginia and I graduated in 1970. Growing up my brother hunted and we never saw any deer until maybe 1965. He graduated in 1968 and it was a couple of years before he graduated that he brought home his first buck. We were so excited because we had meat in our freezer. Not only that but now it was meat that I actually loved. I never liked groundhog meat but I loved rabbit and squirrel, especially squirrel!!.
This is by far the best podcast ever! These guys don’t ever get loud, and have a bunch of ruckus from someone on it. Is BK Al’s granddaughter? He don’t ever say anything like that is why I ask. Stone is Al’s son-in-law, correct?
How's it going everyone? I was wondering if anyone might help me out? Im a 45 yr old father of 6 and found out I have a brain tumor and would humbly like to ask for anyone's prayers 🙏. I'm not sure of the full diagnosis yet but I'm nervous. I'm the only one who works and could really use some prayers for speedy recovery so I can get back to work. The doctor mentioned I had a 50 percent survival chance but I'm not going to give up that easy. I could really use a quick healing. Thank you very much for any prayers. God bless.
My great grandfather is credited for killing the last deer in Panola County, Texas. I would have to dig up my genealogy records to findout about what year that was, but this area was restocked in the 1950s. We now have a great population.
I think that since Jase isn't here to defend himself from all these allegations from Jay, the next time Jase is here he may have something to say about all this😂! As to Zack, we could all use a bit of brushing up on vocabulary! When he uses a word I don't know I look it up, especially the religious ones. I guess if Willie is pissed about the fish he needs to fence it off!
Phil told uncle Si that he needed to get his doctor to practice on someone else. lol!! 😂 I get so tickled at them. I hope Stone's youngest daughter is careful. Good night...that would be terrible if she accidentally killed someone. 😳 It's funny while they are talking about it, but then that crossed my mind. BUT....I'm glad they are able to protect themselves incase they needed too. This ole world has some evil people in it that's for sure. You have to be careful these days. Another thing, I remember when I was growing up and the Sunday school teacher asking my class and I, what do we think God looks like? Well, for me we were told that we were made in the image of God. I also remember learning that God is everywhere, so maybe he does just lives inside of us. Of course, as a kid you think he's a man with white hair and a white beard and white mustache. We have that image in our minds bc of books of Moses when we were kids and of course television.
First off... for a room full of fisherman, it seems odd you're missing the glaring fact that bass eat crappy. Pretty sure that you don't have to worry about "overpopulation" of crappy in a pond you also stock with Bass. Talk about being "yuppified". This sound just like my mama complaining about the birds eating the tomatoes in the Summer AFTER she spent all winter & spring filling up her bird feeder. Rich people problems Willie....Rich People problems.
Great Podcast Stone and Si. You need to invite Cristina Baker on she is great. ((Stone)) I would like to know how to get a hold of your friend in Texas that dose the AR in a 308 Thank you and God's Blessings

It has to do with how they were brought up Phil was never around and a drunkard and heathen that he will readily tell you. Jep seems the one who uses mom and dad because he didn’t really see the bad stuff.
Respectfully Stone, as a man who trains BJJ, wrestles, lifts, and loves all things grappling. No 140lb woman is going to win against a man unless he lets her.
Yep, from what I've read the English, French, and Spanish, in combination with the Indians, pretty much decimated the animal population along the east coast and further inland.
@@cindykaye3152 The Indians were just as much responsible as the whites for what happened. The tribes fought each other and took land from each other,. In addition, trade in furs was a big business and Indians were full participants along with the settlers. The Indians of the 1600s and 1700s were not Rousseau-type noble savages. I'm not talking about today, and I'm sure tribal governments do a lot to preserve wildlife today. But that was not true back then. If you open your eyes to truth, you will find that Indians also participated in the slave trade, and also joined the South in the Civil War. There has never been a perfect people, no matter how much we might want to believe our ancestors were the ne plus ultra of humanity.
The north American indigenous tribes lived in harmony with the ecosystem & wildlife before they were invaded & their land stolen. They didn't decimate any animal populations! That came at the hands of European invaders. The US government even put out orders for bison & elk & other wildlife to be slaughtered & thrown away for the sole purpose of starving the tribes to death! Anglo ranching & farming practices, urban sprawl courtesy of greedy developers, along with introducing invasive species of flora & fauna has destroyed wildlife & land further. The native people DID NOT decimate anything! WE were the ones who were decimated! Yet our tribal governments still do more for land & wildlife management than the federal agencies usually do & we work with state agencies to help manage animals & land properly using knowledge passed down from our ancestors. Whatever source you've read blaming native tribes is incorrect!
@@VernCrisler We are NOT indians-we are NOT from India, we are indigenous tribes of this continent and your use of that antiquated term speaks volumes about your ignorance of the truth. What you specifically spoke of was hunting animals to the point of decimating the population at the hands of the indigenous people, which DID NOT HAPPEN!!! As for land disputes between tribes, that did not impact the environment or damage entire ecosystems, unlike the European invaders who poisoned water sources looking for gold, silver & coal & stripped land bare cutting down thousands of acres of forest to build their mansions & smog belching cities & caused the Dust Bowl by ripping out prarie grasslands that had stood for thousands of years just to grow wheat. And what does slavery have to do with your accusations of wildlife population? NO human group is perfect & I'm not saying my people were or are now. But I know for a fact we did not decimate wildlife populations, even with the furtrade. Again, that came from the Europeans who couldn't just trade a few furs for what they might need to survive, but hunted for greed to get rich.Your summation of my people speaks of hatred born of misinformation spread by early invaders seeking to justify our slaughter so they could exploit the resources found on this continent. @@VernCrisler By the way, have you not heard of the Trail if Tears? The tribes you accuse of joining the Confederacy-which in & of itself also has nothing to do with wildlife decimation-were forced to do so after treaties were broken & they were being removed from their tribal lands in the dead of winter. We were forced to join sides in the anglo civil war in an effort to try and survive. We were forced onto reservations with little to no sources of food. The government food allotments we were promised were spoiled or poisoned on purpose. With our people dying, the government claimed they would honor past treaties & give us back our lands & the food we were promised if we joined sides on the civil war. It was about survival, not lack of character. As for "ne plus ultra" , it is found in the arrogance & inhumanity of indigenous "boarding schools" where thousands upon thousands of indigenous children were forced to give up their language and culture in the name of "progress". Children were murdered for every tiny infraction & it was justified by the government as a way to "educate savages". The revisionist history your spouting doesn't wash with me.
@@cindykaye3152 No one is whitewashing "white" history, boarding schools, or the reservation system. Nor is anyone (other than a few irrelevant white supremacists) claiming that whites are the superior race. By the same token, Indians should not be "Indianwashing" what Indians did in the past, which is what you are trying to do. The Declaration of Independence speaks of Indians as "savages." Jefferson and the others who wrote the Declaration were not using that term to be mean to Indians. It was simply an unfortunate truth about the Indians of that time: they often were quite savage.
