    Fun fact the US claims to support the Kurds, but is a backer of the Turks as well through nato who are committing genocide against the Kurds, and we also work with the Assad regime in very specific cases, where it does align with our interests like for example Islamic extremists….. I wonder why if we claim we want this to end and it’s a humanitarian disaster, how come we basically work with all 3 parties??? Just some info for y’all

      @@Lux961Turkey isn’t an empire, it is a constitutional country. The Kurds aren’t exactly majority in the region, just an important minority. Turks have been living in that land for centuries, hell almost a millennia.
      Kurds started wanting autonomy after the Ottoman government favoured Armenians in local matters (Kurds and Armenians kept massacring each other back then)
      Turkey isn’t being oppressive. It’s protecting its interests in a land which is mostly inhabited by Turks.

      Turks have been living there for centuries, almost a millennia if I’m not wrong.
      If we were to go by your logic, the US would be partitioned among several tribes, the Turks would’ve been in Central Asia, the Celts would’ve still been in Anatolia or at least the balkans, the British Isles would be occupied by God knows who, and it’s be a bloody mess.

      Which they never did, get the propaganda out of your minds, we dont "cleanse" kurds, greeks, armenians and arabs. We did properly get called out when our economy collapsed bc of the syrians, leading to a lot of problems for the local turks. We never prolonged the civil war as we NEVER invaded the syrian goverment, we invaded the lands that rebelled, which we had to considering it caused huge problems on our border. Its not our fault, the americans did this and will soon call us the bad guys, or the syrians, or the kurds, or some random other party, whatever gets them that sweet sweet oil...

      Dude do you really know why did we take these lands? Go search for PKK/PYD/ISIS attacks over Türkiye before and after these operations. We have no any problem with Kurds, the problem is PKK which is a terrorist organization which is claimed by even your country. Instead we are protecting mostly Kurds who are living in our country. Cuz attacks of these organizations caused death of our Kurdish civilians mostly.

      The other guy said ISIS, but FSA was actually Al-Qaeda. Their entire leadership and the majority of their fighters were Al-Qaeda and then magically became the "Free Syrian Army" when that could get them our tax dollars. There were no elections held by this group, so who knows what "democrats" you're talking about? Do you think it's funny to pay homage and say "RIP" to Al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria that killed Christians? Disgusting. FSA was nearly as bad as ISIS.

    Mohammed bin Salman's ascension as heir apparent was the best thing that could happen for Syria. He normalized relations with Assad, made sure Syria could return to the Arab League, cut off all remaining support for the Syrian rebels (Qatar still funds them), and strives for dialogue with Syria's other guarantors like Iran and Russia.
