Best travel filmmaker I know! Ill probably watch this couple dozen times within a month
I agree!
Brandon , would you do some behind the scenes of your editing ?
Agree!
Brandon please show us some editing behind the scenes.
we'd love to see that!
Me too!
He wont do that, he already explain that in one of his clip.
its easy to see what hes doing if you watch frame by frame. Comma and period on your keyboard when the vid is paused. Ive learned so much from his vids. What you will quickly realize is that he has clear vision BEFORE he shoots. His shots appear casual but they are directed and intentional. Always panning into and out of scenes....having the artistic vision to see what are interesting shots to take---DETAILS! as apposed to your typical wide shots of buildings. The thing that Brandon is awesome at (in edits) is maintaining connection between scenes in terms of key elements and pacing. Shapes, colors and movement. There is always a connection between 2 different scenes. Also his use of sound effects to immerse the watcher into the scene is top notch.
You turn something very simple to extra ordinary 🔥🔥🔥
You are my inspiration Brandon Li. I still watch your old videos many times for me to learn cinematography. Thank you.
Even if I cannot afford to join your school, your videos alone are enough educative for me to learn editing and camera movement. They say a good work leaves its traces for others to follow. This is the best thing that you tube offers.
Your "goofing around" videos are ten times better than many videos people plan out! Love the whip shots at the 4-way intersection...too bad about rolling shutter.
Thanks for the tips, and for the Brazilian, the community here is very closed with regards to tips, their work and suggestions in the camera movements helps a lot who is starting ... PARABENS
You truly are a youtube filmmaking treasure. Thank you for sharing your work and bts with us!
We always enjoy watching your creative videos thank you for sharing those tips with us. Greetings from Thailand
I really appreciate the behind the scenes of how you take your videos! Thank you to you and Kobe!
Seriously i feel blessed to be able to learn your techniques on yt
I'm excited every time when you post something. You show us there's no need to use cliche slow motion to create an interesting travel video. Great stuff!
Not only the cinematography or gimbal made the short film beautiful but the editing and the sound too had a big role
Best travel cinematic flimmaker ♥️
Goofing around and makes videos better than my 100%! Still so much to learn! lol
I always watch and admire your videos! So very glad you are showing more of your girlfriend’s personality.
No matter what you do, it is always amazing!
Just wanted to give a shout out and say thanks for all the behind the scenes you do. Also for not overly pushing your film school like so many others where it's basically just an ad 😆
You are so smooth and on point my man 🙏
Always enjoy anything you share here. I usually end up downloading your videos and go frame by frame for your transitions 😁
More behind the scenes parts/ videos please.
It is really mesmerizing to watch such sort of videos as well!
Dude! How many memories. Macao was my first solo trip. I slept in a horrible hostel room in that market Street but it was so much fun!
That last shot was killer. Great perspective!
OMG!!! Sooo much to absorb and learn from the True Master! Thank you sifu Brandon 🙏
Always refreshing and inspiring, and Kobe is such a great sport! She deserves soooo much credit and did a great job filming as well! Brandon and Kobe for the win(s)!
Branden is the master who teaches us all well in the art of filmmaking.
I like behind scenes started from 2:21. I can see your shooting motions and find the edited videos from the shootings. For beginner RUclips as like me, it is very very helpful. ^^ Thank you so much Brandon. ^^
We want 1000 of short film videos like this .. in which we can enjoy the filmmaking of new era in ya videos
Wow I am learning so much. I don't film videos a lot so when I want to film something during travels I have no ideas where to begin. This is very helpful. Thank you so much.
YAYYY I've missed seeing your videos!!! Thanks for being the down the earth human who also makes stunning cinematic videos. Shoutout to Kobe being a patient girlfriend for this video to come to life.
I am a stills photographer but it really is interesting to see both your work and how you approach collecting the material you later work on in your final edits because this is the important bit. Where this is inspiring is that it is no different to doing a "stills shoot" with the intention of producing a self published book or a story for a magazine so, many thanks for sharing.
What a way to start my day, this is beautiful! 🌸😊💜
You always remind me to pay attention to the details for the quick shots and I always get caught up and forget. This next video for sure I’m going to do it! Thanks for always inspiring me.
Beautiful film! I love this city!
I found you from the bilibili website in China. I watched a lot of your works and tutorials on youtube. As a novice, your video has been very helpful to me, and it is all free! thank you! ! ! !
these camera movements are crazy and so much variety
love these behind the scenes!
Amazing and Brilliant as usual. Love your behind the scenes.....
I learn so much from you Brandon. Thank you for sharing this👏
Love the natural transitions, thank you for sharing your work and knowledge Brandon.
I'm learning a lot from your films and behind the scenes content, Brandon. I just got into filmmaking some weeks ago and this video in particular inspired me to do a short video in my city Barcelona with the same setup: one camera, one lens, one very patient girlfriend :) Thank you and keep inspiring!
Love your videos! Even when you guys are just goofing around it comes out with a cinematic feel.
thank you so much for all the tips. loved the movie but REALLY amazed by your tutorials! brilliant but easy to do for beginners :)
I think you've been told before that you are a transition god, haven't you? 😉
*Gimbal , transition goes to Benn TK 🔥😂👏
@@AliffNaqqiu Not even close. Brandon is better than Kolder and Benn put together. Watch Seoul Wave
@@joshdiditt when i saw back my comment , this is so stupid , comparing others . Lol , every filmakers have their style itself , and we all can appreciate/love that .
I LOVE the behind the scenes x it helps me as a wannabe creator see how it is directed and made
I love the beautiful films you make Brandon. I found this one displayed your skills more than the Cataluyna one.
Such an amazing visual feast - as amazing as ever. I am a big fan. Thank you for sharing such great stories.
You don't know how bad I needed this video today. Thank you!
Omg, I watch your films in amazement. Your style is so dope!
Thanks! I always love how u show ur behind the scenes shot. i can learn something from it.
omg.......your shots are mindblowingggggggggggggggggggggggggg
Thanks for these behind the scenes Brandon. I know you could make money not showing this stuff and teaching it. But it really makes people want to come back and actually see HOW you make this content. Seeing you film things even for just a few seconds is really helpful in understanding how you got a certain shot. If you had time, could you show us some of the editing you do? Sometimes even if we have great shots, putting it all together is a little confusing also.
You never cease to amaze with your work
How is youtube blessed with quality stuff like this
Big fan of macau... Often visited there. This is a sick edit mate. Love the fast slides transitions to next shots and the zoom. Just top quality video in macau! Keep them coming :)))
Beautiful close ups of the tiles!
Wow!!! It's simple yet stunning...
I learned so much from you Brandon! Thank you
Simply stunning great film and behind the scenes footage as well Brandon amazing looking Macau.❤️❤️👍 loved to visit one day on my long lists
you got yourself a subscriber!!! I like you channel man!!! You deserve more followers like the famous youtubers out there!!! keep up the good work and teach us more :)
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!
Another great video as always Brandon. So much to learn from you. Thank you.
I love these type of videos!! so cool and helpful to watch!!
the best filmmaker right now in youtube :D no need too much effect, it's about how you creat it !
Wow..amazing, love the way you imagine the storyline.
Man, I have been hanging out for one of these. I love these.
The gear reviews are hit or miss for me based on whether I'm scoping the gear.
But these vids. Both the short travel pics and behind the scenes are what I love.
Thanks Brandon 😀🕺🏽🎥🏖
Bradon Sensei~ 🙇🏻♂️ did you pick the music before or after the goofing around?
Vancouverite in Shanghai~
Thank you for sharing the shooting skills. The short film looks great with a lot of details.
Another great video, Brandon. Thanks so much for the BTS.
Thank you, I can learn a lot from your behind the scenes videos ☻
Hi Brandon and Kobe! Sending tons of love from Japan💕 I missed your meet up this time. I wished I could come visit you guys in HK!
As always.. very artistic
The Behind the Szenes 😂 1 minute into and i thought... wtf did i just watched ... crazy shoots. Okay lets keep watching
the transition 👑
Makes me want to visit Macau again.
Cool piece of work Brandon, also makes me think about gimbal producers who are proposing increasingly large and heavy products, this proves that filmmakers like us need exactly the opposite.
I want to do a "gimbal engineer challenge" where the makers of gimbals have to use their own gear for a 12 hour shoot.
Hi Brandon, as always I enjoyed the film and footage as well as behind the scenes...film school sound good !
An amateur like me dont deserve a Brandon Li course... But i brave the fear of the undeserving, and face my very own "whats next" in my overflowing film making enthusiasm...and signed my shy arse in. Haha! Excitement is kicking in!!!
watching these behind the scenes videos make me want to go outside and shoot something
Howdy, Brandon. Longggg time. Love these behind the scenes vids. I was thinking... Maybe it's about time to do a secret little video with the RX100. Don't tell us and make it killer. Maybe a good lesson just to remind people(and myself) it's not about the gear, or the latest and greatest tech. I think that would be fun, eye opening and educational. Thanks for sharing these vids with us.
Your amazing 😍 sire Lee, your films are always give a shot to me... The way you shoot that road strip that was just amazing nd your transaction are always best of the best, salute you Lee Sir ❤️🙌
So beautiful. I was moved your passion!
i love that you show behind the scenes. I am really loving the "film making Process" i watch so many great ones, Peter, Casey, Matti, etc...And now you and what i love about what you are showing here is the way You actually Film. My husband and i both are getting quite addicted to it but what we were always doing wrong when shooting our b roll in 120 (besides absolutely everything we are doing wrong we just started in Jan.) we would go fast when shooting 120fps or even 60fps? I dont know why we thought that. Also we do not have a gimbal so everything is hand held and whoa what a difference!! I need a gimbal, different lens's, nd filters, learn cameras so much more etc, etc....what would be a good starter gimbal with our canon m50? We like the ronin S? Ty and great video!!
Such an amazing video! 😍 I loved to watch this more simple but so well executed videos! 👏😊 I learned a lot in 6 min! Thank you 🙏😊
Thank you for being inspiring. Love from Bali
I love you channel bro and all of your hard work you put in I been a fan of your works for a few years now and I must say your video are awesome and amazing 😉 I really appreciate the BTS footage and tips your such a inspiration Thank you for those tips
Really great video and really fascinating to see the making of part, inspirational stuff. Big thanks for sharing
Inspirational, thanks for sharing behind the scenes.
Okay comment 2: the behind the szene was super inspiering. Your gimbal is so small. Always thought you have a large one
so much detail !!
I think it’s awesome to show some bts of your shooting. It’s nice to see what’s happening behind the curtain - But as far as editing, definitely don’t show anyone 😉
Amazing work as always. Such a beautiful film! Also BTS was super interesting!
Best filmmaker ! Willing to share his skills to us.
Some excellent little tips there Brandon!
Sooo creative. Hat's off to you!
Always love your stuff.
Loved My time at Macau and glad you are enjoying it too
I am a big fan of your work
Ty for sharing the bts skills so we can learn!
I was in Macau last month but I was so sick that I couldn’t do any filming or photos. Barely left the hotel room. Luckily though it’s only a two hour flight away from where I live, so I could always go back another time (though next month I’ll be in Japan
