Another great recipe I have used over the years for dinner parties, it is always well received. I have started to use bay leaves under the cake when baking, they add a wonderful perfume to the flavour. I also make my own version of Cato's recipe, I use a mixture of goat cheese & Scottish crowdie sort cheese, mixed with heather honey, flour & an egg to add firmness to the finished bake. Simply delicious. Thank you for your videos, I truly love watching them.

Unfortunately i can't bake it with coals inside a pot.
@@MrsLuvthatsong it is a fantastic recipe as with a lot of ancient recipes. They certainly do have their place in modern dining. You can make a modern baking brick out of two baking trays, one shallow & the a deep style. Place the cheesecake onto the shallow tray & place the deep one on top, seal around the edges with baking foil. Bake at 220c for 45 to 50 minutes remove the deep tray & bake for a further 5 to 10 minutes to add colour. Let us know how you get on x

@@ismata3274 yes, but use on a lower temperature so it cooks through evenly.
