The reaction from Austin when receiving his horribly weak idol is so funny
The duck face is so iconic
Was just recommended this video and it was great! Love Survivor content creators and you've absolutely earned my subscription!
Thank you so much! :) Hopefully you keep checking out the content I have big things planned!
I also never realized there were 27 different advantages in modern Survivor. That is crazy...
There were far more than I thought. Just goes to show many new twists modern Survivor brought in!
Austin might have two idols at some point if he vote out Kellie!
If Kellie goes out then Austin has two idols coming into the final 9 which is super strong
@@BanditSurvivorContent Yes! Austin would be in an great position! He would have guarantee safety for two rounds! Austin best move is to vote out Kellie soon!
@BanditSurvivorContent tbf the Idol is only really powerful in close tribe divisions or when you're on the bottom. If you're already on top and not being voted you don't and might never need to the Idol. I don't think the Idol has actually do anything in all of the new Era that actually changed the game.
@@BanditSurvivorContent
One thing about Austin is that he doesn’t know he’s a threat. All he thinks about is revenge. (No hate towards Austin but it’s pretty dumb. )
1st step: Revenge
2nd step: 2 idols
3rd step: Be James Clement 2.0.
I think for the Amulets, they need to swap it so the more amulets in the game, the more powerful the one-time play at tribal is. The way it is now is just an excuse to take each other out and the winner gets an idol.
I think that would be interesting (obviously the most "powerful" option shouldn't be an idol. Maybe like steal a vote > extra vote > return a vote (goodwill advantage)) but I feel that concept works a lot better to reinforce HOLDING out
Thanks dear bandit. Your vids bring me joy. Great! well-invested. Good work well appreciated! 27 advantages, that's crazy! Agree with most of the rating. Enjoyed it, you rock.
I personally don't like the shot in the dark much, they changed the rules last season, and the rules aren't very clear. Jeff doesn't bother to clarify to the viewers about the shot in the dark, and that's a shame. Imagine someone watching the show for the 1st time/ a "new viewer"- they won't understand what they are watching plus all these new advantages and twists, it's so confusing. CBS actually lose viewers instead of gaining new fans. That's my personal opinion, anyway... Still a fan. Peace
Ayee thanks so much for your kind words dude! Thanks for checking out the content ❤️
i forgot about the control a vote advantage
44 was mostly forgettable
Yes! My mom said it was so stupid and it will never be remembered!
Honestly when I went through Survivor 44 for this video I forgot how many bad twists that season brought out
@@BanditSurvivorContent Yes it had so many bad ones you can’t remember them all!
These videos are lowkey fire
Thanks for your kind words! ❤
I LOVE the Amulet twist, it's honestly S tier.
Fair enough! Thanks for sharing your opinion :)
At least the hourglass gives those robbed of immunity a (un)fair chance to survive. Do or Die is just luck.
Yes!
It's not just luck because they had the option to opt out of it completely by not entering the challenge.
With the hourglass twist, they weren't told ahead of time that it could happen. The Do or Die is justified because they're warned. The Hourglass is worse than bad.... If I knew about it, I'd purposely LOSE the challenge.
@@MrAgentTurner That doesn’t make it better!
@@MrAgentTurner Yes everyone would lose the challenge to win immunity!
As much as I hate to admit it I agree with the Shot in the Dark not being an S Tier advantage. There are some flaws with it!
Agreed!
26 days needs to be rounded up to 30
I'm just curious - but what's the difference between 26 and 30 that makes it a worthwhile difference?
Really my issue with the choose your champion advantage is that it made 3 people immune with up to 3 people having idols at the final 7
So, I'll hop in to say that the Choose your champion only had that effect because in a Survivor first two contestants actually outlived the advantage. I don't think there would have been such an overwhelming amount of people potentially immune if not for that.
It’s also pretty plagued by the mechanics of it, once Cody plays it publicly there’s just too much risk in even bothering to target him when he’s already played a situational idol
@@XanderMatthews-nv9zf I think it's similar to an idol scare. You can still split the votes on the person and another person if they're part of the minority which is good.
@gervase3038
I just question how anybody at that tribal could reasonably assume Cody hadn’t correctly bet on the right person.
Owen and Karla both won, betting on Gabler or Jesse is dumb as hell, and you can’t bet on yourself
so there’s a good 66% chance he got the immunity and unlike a regular idol it is pre-played for this tribal council.
Not sure if that count as a twist, but I like the fact they reveal who win right after the final tribal council
That's interesting! Do you prefer it over the previous format which did it back at the "reunion show" area?
Did you count the weird journey in 41 with Brad, Sydney and Tiffany with the tarp and steal a vote dilema.
And did you count the journeys in 43 with the risk reward cards, and the unpredictable journeys in 44 and 45?
So I was tempted to add in the journeys (and I've talked about them before) but I think they're just so inconsistent that I would have to talk about multiple versions. Some give you food, some are challenge based, others are luck based so at the end of the day I just decided to leave them off :) except the Shipwheel because that's based off a game theory dilemma!
Please tell me you had a rest after this video
Unfortunately not! Live as a final year uni student and youtuber is not easy lol
7:45 No
Hard agree with the Shot in the dark being overrated
Cheers!
Who is Frank?
"Quite Frankly" is a term used here in NI a lot. It means you're being brutally honestly.
Hey survivor bandit
Hey!
First!
Ayeee!
Mergatory is awful
It's not my cup of tea as well
Second!
Ayeee!
@@BanditSurvivorContent Yes! I had to that!
26 Days Is Horrible!
Fair enough!
@@BanditSurvivorContent 39 days was just perfect an length!
That was a VERY lame number 1 lol
I guess? But I can't stress how important it is for the franchise and it's a decision I advocated for before 45 so I have to shout out production for actually installing it on the show
The Shot In The Dark Is Stupid! It only work twice and Keleb went home the next round well two round later!
I think so far it has been underwhelming - to be honest I like the concept of it being a "threat" more so than it actually being played. As you said Jaime's play negated no votes and Kaleb was voted out the very next round.
@@BanditSurvivorContent It used more as threat then anything else at this point! Jamie got no votes and Kaleb went onto be the first jury member!
