the chills (no joke here) when Artosis is able to predict the plan of one or both players. That really shows the quality. Instead of simply commentating what is happening, that is already plenty good, even properly predicting! That is skill! (at least B terran I guess)

I don't get why Protoss players don't kill SCVs with Dragoons instead of just right clicking the bunker and waiting for siege mode. Like the repairing SCVs especially are just free and marines take years to kill Dragoons
Yes, I would like to listen to Artosis's explanation for that. I get that goons have blast damage that deals only half to SCV, but still with 3 goons you could try to snipe SCV if terran player doesn't react immediately.
you have to walk 2+ units into marine range each dragoon shot costs 2-3 minerals to repair and also causes idle time on the scv. so each dragoon attacking the bunker causes the terran to spend about 2 minerals per second constantly scvs mine a little over 1 mineral per second, so every dragoon attacking the bunker is basically the same as the terran having 3 scvs fewer. that is substantial economic damage when you can make a 30 scv terran effectively have 18 with 4 dragoons for upwards of a minute+
@@sneediumminer Yea, but it still doesn't explain why they don't try to snipe a SCV by taking some shield damage. I doubt that with 3-4 goons, every terran will react fast enough to pullback/repair the scv that is being hit by goons.
After watching tons of TvP lately, I legit have no idea why Wraiths are never built. Drops are a constant threat, he has an early starport that is unused, and turrrets don't even solve the problem. Surely 2 wraiths wouldn't be that expensive ? Thanks for all the great casts Arty.
Comes with the cost that should go to your factory units. And they'll just suicide the reaver drop then remake it instead so it still accomplishes what it set out to do : to slow down the factory push.

i definitely think that a wraith to scout the cliffs could have been a very good investment on this map to be able to react to mass drops in a timelly manner
gotta say both of them played very well, Flash improving a lot, but Best's play was simply incredible. Much brainier than in ASL actually, great decision making and army movement.
Flash is really having a bad time playing against Protoss… damn! Snow, Best, Motive, all of them have crushed him. I hope he is just figuring things out, practicing strategies, etc one thing I don’t get is why he doesn’t have a small group of 4-5 wraiths to counter the shuttles, that’s always the reason he starts losing the games…
the wraiths are an opportunity cost. the idea isn't 100% without merit, but it's not the "duh he should just make wraiths" that some people are acting like it is

But that would break the bio/mech dichotomy they are trapped in. Everyone else has their full tech trees, but Terrans will not allow themselves to do so.

It just has to work a few times before it becomes one of those moments the game changes and everyone on the ladder tries it. Once it is semi-viable protoss will always have to keep it in mind. Planning the zealot bomb the tanks? One ghost locked down 2 shuttles, costing 1200 minerals. Or heaven forbid you lock down the shuttle with reavers. Game changing
for an early tank drop, is it possible to siege the tank out of vision range of the probes so it can get a shot off before protoss can transfer? i always see the dropships fly in and drop the tank and vultures all at once and usually the probes are on the move before the tank can siege.
Sometimes I wonder how we made it 20 years without storm getting a nerf. I know blizzard doesn't patch BW anymore, but holy crap it's just so damn powerful. Sure zerg clouds are annoying, but one storm can just melt 5 fully upgraded tanks from 100 to 0 in 3 seconds, it's wild.
Yeah people complain the most about Swarm but at least it has counter play like bats, mines, tanks or moving into it if it's vs a hydra force. Successfully dodging Storm just means all your guys get to live with 5 hp

My question is why don't we see it at least a few times to shock the Terran into over-reacting? Some Terrans almost lose the bunker anyways at the pro level. before the goons pull back when the tank shows itself they could try something.
Naaaah, the missiles would not have enough time to hit, the shuttles would have let the units go already and disoersed. Wraith seem better here with no AoE but hammering each shuttle quickly down.
Basically 0 shuttle defence, how can you win like that, free shuttle harassment all game, you need to make some wraiths in order for your opponents to feel some kind of danger..

I think draining the minerals from repair might outscale the mins lost from 1 scv

The problem is they are so expensive, yet so weak. You have to baby sit them with like 120 apm all game to keep them alive and cost efficient.

The game should have been a lot closer, but Flash was dropping a lot due to micro. Several HTs just...walk away from a failed attack.
Again I point at this game to those who question why protoss doesn’t go arbiter - mass shuttle is simply better and requires no other investments
If Terran had ghosts at some point they can deadlock incoming shutles/arbiters/carriers.

seems like too small a reaction window for drops, but that does sound great for stopping the zealot bomber
