We believers are so blessed because of what Christ has already done for us, forgiven, past, present, and future. Then saved by His life, He now is our life. It is not about what we do for Him. He loved us first. We receive His love (instead of trying to achieve His love) and only then can we extend it to others.

I just read about your state in India, Nagaland. I had never heard of it. It sounds like a wonderful place with many mountains, few cities and hardy people. Wikipidia says it is 88% Christian people. Here in Canada we have so many people who have no religious affiliation and many are loudly declared atheists. I hope one day God will bring you to Canada to share your testimonies and bring the gospel back to North American youth. Missionaries from America and the UK risked their lives to proclaim the gospel and to this day the people of Nagaland and Mizoram thank God that their forefathers had received and responded to the gospel. Each generation has preserved the gospel as taught to them and in 1972 when the late Billy Graham visited he said that it was the largest Baptist State outside of the USA. The Living Stones are from South India and are very talented men who spread the gospel in mainland India and are associated with an Evangelical Organisation that reaches out to the locals in their own dialect. One of the original Apostles, I think it was Thomas, was the first to take the gospel to India and today there is still a large thriving Christian population. The people of NE India do not look like Indians as we know it as they are descendants of the Mongolians. They are very musically talented and you should look up following groups; Besy Choir, BCM (Baptist choirs) Abel & Aron of Nagaland.

Leonard Cohen's lyrics is extremely complex and open to a myriad interpretations. It's poetic and has allusions to Biblical themes that seem written in a haze of pain and self deprecation. This version of the tune in a totally different mold of lyrics and backdrop of Christ as the Holy child is by far the simplest, sweetest, and most enjoyable.

I just read about your state in India, Nagaland. I had never heard of it. It sounds like a wonderful place with many mountains, few cities and hardy people. Wikipidia says it is 88% Christian people. Here in Canada we have so many people who have no religious affiliation and many are loudly declared atheists. I hope one day God will bring you to Canada to share your testimonies and bring the gospel back to North American youth. Missionaries from America and the UK risked their lives to proclaim the gospel and to this day the people of Nagaland and Mizoram thank God that their forefathers had received and responded to the gospel. Each generation has preserved the gospel as taught to them and in 1972 when the late Billy Graham visited he said that it was the largest Baptist State outside of the USA.
The Living Stones are from South India and are very talented men who spread the gospel in mainland India and are associated with an Evangelical Organisation that reaches out to the locals in their own dialect. One of the original Apostles, I think it was Thomas, was the first to take the gospel to India and today there is still a large thriving Christian population.
The people of NE India do not look like Indians as we know it as they are descendants of the Mongolians. They are very musically talented and you should look up following groups; Besy Choir, BCM (Baptist choirs) Abel & Aron of Nagaland.

I loved Leonard Cohen's melody in this song when I first heard it, but always felt uncomfortable with his lyrics. I think the new lyrics you have used are just perfect. Someone did a marvelous job on writing them, and the singing and playing was stellar. Thank you. With these lyrics I can sing about our Savior to this beautiful melody.
Lincoln Brewster also redid the lyrics awhile back and did a great job. The song is called "Another Hallelujah".

Leonard Cohen's lyrics is extremely complex and open to a myriad interpretations. It's poetic and has allusions to Biblical themes that seem written in a haze of pain and self deprecation.
This version of the tune in a totally different mold of lyrics and backdrop of Christ as the Holy child is by far the simplest, sweetest, and most enjoyable.

Isaiah chap 7: verse 14:

which means: Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh as a man but without sin. His shed blood would eventually pay all sins price of all sinners! And He would be crucified and die and rise from the dead the third day. Jesus had to die.
