Our electric engines are famous in the world just they are not so fancy... Vande bharat can reach 100Kmph faster than the japanese bullet train... Already many countries are taking interest to purchase vande bharat trains from us as it is way cheaper than bullet train and there is no need to make new tracks for it... and people dont need fast bullet trains they need affordable ticket with comfortable journey... It will take a lot of time to upgrade our tracks because we have one of the largest rail network in the world...
These are reserved premium trains for Rich and upper middle class, Shatabdi and Rajdhani like premium trains are free from horde since decades. Hanging on door problem are only in local trains especially for commutator and service class 9-5 job people or in unreserved general coaches especially on occasion and festivals
There are still those trains available for your happiness...please don't worry..we will keep ourselves backward to keep your last remaining happiness of your entire life.
Actually I saw a video of Pull push intercity express acceleration from lonavala and keeping that in mind I expected that level of acceleration of vande bharat from lonavala I might be wrong but Pull push intercity still won the race

I think these medium speed trains make a lot more economic sense than bullet train style high speed trains , except maybe between short distance travel between cities that can reduce air travel

Once bullet trains ans metro are connected, the ease of mobility will indeed make a lot of difference in business ease, tourism, and overall standard of living. If you travel in Japan's and even in some Chinese routes, they are a lot empty and the returns on investment are not on par with say road network. But the lifetime advantages are immense and returns are higher over a long term.
The size also matters. Bullet trains work best for ≤500km in Europe. But with inherent inefficiency of airports in India, and the 350km/h target for Bullet, I suspect the threshold for trains having an advantage would be more like 700-800km in India. That would be huge parts of nation connected to the major cities.

It's top speed upto 190-200 semi high speed Train 18 but our first rake run upto 220 kmph in same route.. note the following rake is speed upto 180 kmph for the semi route.. train 20 Coming soon.... Speed minimum upto 350 kmph .. 💕

Speed of trains depends on the tracks not the trains. Why doesn't the railway undertake a project of laying very high speed track in every part of the country by 2060?
The local suburban trains actually accelerate harder till about 40-60 kmph (in reality VB pilots almost never go full power on a start), but VB never seems to stop accelerating. Many times I was shocked by how quickly the train slowed down and got back up to speed again. In case you're wondering the latest Medha or Siemens suburban 15 car rakes have around 10 MW of peak power, as much as VB itself.

The EMUs i ride everyday in my country and that are used for local services, with similar top speed, make 1.1m/s^2 of acceleration. So yeah, not that impressive
