i got severe depression and only make 1.2k€ a month, so usually those "draw along with me"s aren't accessible to me. so i thank you SO SO much for making that possible for me :3
oh I'm so so glad, this makes me really happy to hear. I hope you allow yourself to come back to any of the videos on a day that you need it :) sending healing thoughts your way!
Hey there, Alex here. I am filling a small book with blank pages full of ugly artwork and I am really enjoying this. It is something I’ve always been fascinated in and never really was sure what the rules were which is ridiculous sounding now because I know there are no rules. I think I’m really unlocking my better potential here. Thank you
I found a video of yours and now its been 3 hours of me following these videos... Ive always loved colours but never got the chance to feel free to use them bc i thought i wasn't good enough to paint with them. This was incredibly therapeutic for me tonight, thank you!
I followed along during my 12 hr overnight shift to keep my brain from melting on me and it really helped unlock something in me that i didnt even realize needed to be unlocked! I hope that made sense i am very tired lol that is to say this vid was great and helped me loads!
Had lots of fun! Thank you for your real good comments that are truly sincere. You have a solid way of expressing the perimeters of the exercises you put forth. Understanding that even if when you create a piece it may not the best effort. Exploring the effort and giving insight to ideas and thoughts that are arising.
oh wow that's so cool!! I'm so glad you changed it to make it work for you and what you want to do, that's super fun and inspiring. :) much love to you!
thank you so much! I’m struggling with the fact that I can only draw the original shape of objects. I think my art (not even art) is lack of creativity and it’s very strict and boring. I’m so glad I clicked in this video and I had a great time with you.❤
I just enjoyed scribbling like my two year old until there was basically no empty space 😅and then I doodled a cubed mug a face and other random objects.. thank you for posting and being here Marie - which is my daughters 2nd middle name ❤
Really enjoyed this exercise! Went with the cherry theme with colorful highlighters and a fountain pen. Had some pleasantly unexpected results and loved the process 💖
Yeeey! Summer vibes! I feel you more energic in this video! I hope you enjoy summer with more light and warmth ❤ I love the way you validate whatever comes out through our hands and minds..and encourage us to USE it. If it came out it must be the place and time for it and using it is definetly more productive than throwing or starting a "new" paper..or considering ot wrong, bad or just bad looking. It's amazing how you incorporate (or I perceive it this way) psychology, spirituality and just pure love into teaching drawing sessions.. May all those benefiting your guidance find you and may you be more and more blessed inside and outside ❤ P.s. i..drew my new plant 😅 she is a bolivian cactus type of plant..from the rainforest. For whatever reason she is the summer symbol for me it seems 😅 my intention was to draw cherries with you and i ended up with a daddylonglegs plant..and probably i will continue now with a spider near because it feels good ❤
first watched, then listened and doodled - i like the scribble warm up to allow me to use colours that do not "go together" and the reminder to keep my lines (and my mind?) loose - thank you for another ugly art session
this was a wonderful exercise. I loved just being able to let my mind rest from thinking about what i have to do. I followed along with the cherries and i feel like l came up with some great ideas that could become better pieces maybe for pattern making. i love your content.
I did a scribble and scraped some paint a red and yellow and green looked at it and there where figures in it like a man a car so i drew them and made a picture lol now i paint all the time
I hear you.. that can be SO hard. I often find that 'just doing' helps me, whenever I feel that distance growing. Just bypassing thought and jumping into action, with an exercise like this, or a different one!
@@marienoellewurm I have actually tried this exercise and it’s been very helpful it reminds of when I used to just draw as a child not caring about what the results would be, thank you so much.
This is amazing! It has helped me as a filmmaker. I've been stuck with ideas because of perfectionism and just wanted to create without the mindset of being "the best." Thank you so much! I have a question: did you come up with these exercises, or did you learn these techniques somewhere?
Oh I'm so glad you were able to translate it to another creative medium :) I came up with these exercises: coming up with creative exercises that help overcome perfectionism is really what I'm most passionate about!! I do have to say though that 14 years ago I had a wonderful mentor and teacher who 'showed me the way' with her own creative exercises.. and it set me free. They can be so powerful! all the best to you Dani.
Ugly has beauty. Allow it to be easy. Do it for yourself and enjoy the journey ☺️✨ Thank you for this wonderful video 🌼🎨✏️
yes yes yes!! and thank you :)

I wonder if essence is the word you’re looking for. Maybe?
ooo yess that's a great word! thanks :)
Hi ❤!!!
hiya! :)
Hi. How do you understand ugliness and beauty?
