I wanted to find out how to change from 25 fps to 30 fps and nobody talks about it on youtube at all... Thanks for showing us how to do it... Absolutely lovely video.
Yes you can, funny you should ask as I accidentally had it on 1/10 today. The only thing is that at 1/10 the frame rate looks jittered so really you need to have at least 1/30 for smooth footage. However if that is the effect you want, yes you can.
Thanks for the video, I bought the EOS R 30 days ago with the new RF 15-35mm 2.8 L IS lens, overall im a bit disappointed, maybe its cause im a novice RUclipsr, but I swear my M50 has WAYYYY better image stability when Im walking and moving around (which for a 600 dollar camera that shouldn't be when comparing to the 6k setup on the R). The EOSR is sooo jittery, even with enhance Digital IS. Any suggestions? on the flip side, the colors are much better on the R!
For those wondering, 2:57 and it takes 5 seconds - THAT'S THE ONLY THING I NEEDED... Touch Technology, I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at Canon for making these 5 seconds of video necessary
I think it is an amazing step forward and would love to get the updated sensor with greater Megapixels and most importantly the ability to shoot 4k and 8K un-cropped. However it will depend on the price. I have to say that I have learned to live with the crop factor in 4k mode by using different lenses to compensate. I really don't need 8K for the types of video work that I do and can't imagine how hard it would be to edit in 8K and all that extra storage needed. So as much as I love the idea of Canon establishing themselves once again at the top with this spec I don't know if I need it. So i'll wait for the price to be announced before I decide on that. What about you?
@@Touchtechnologyreview I agree with you and i think they should leave 8K out, they should have just make the 4K perfect to lower the cost. Nobody really need 8K when 4K already so big, i don't need it because it will be expensive and 8K not ideal now. Canon EOS R should be good for 3 more years
Thanks for this, very helpful. Bought an R recently but have been pretty unhappy with the rolling shutter in 4k, even with slow pans subjects in frame were noticeably warping. At least the 1080 is decent.
Awesome video, very helpful. I just upgraded to this camera from the SL2 and will be filming in 4K. What lens helps to compensate for the 4k crop? or do you have a video talking about this? Thank you :)
Congrats on the EOSR. Great camera! Thanks so much for watching the video. Glad it was helpful. I did produce a couple of videos where I talk about the 4K Crop and demonstrate it with various lenses. There is the overall review: ruclips.net/video/ZU27-XtAHpk/видео.html and also the review of the 35mm 1.8 RF lens which is a great wide macro lens that gives you a mid range 50mm focal length when shooting in 4K. ruclips.net/video/4Y38IQOm85Q/видео.html. If you need wider when shooting in 4K you can go with a 16-35mm lens. When shooting at 16mm in 4k it would be like a 35mm lens which should be wide enough for most scenes.
Canon can’t keep up with the Adaptor demand, been waiting 3 months. Only have one lens the 35mm, so somewhat limited currently. The 720p 120fps looks okay though.
Interesting, yes I found they had limited availability at the time I purchased too, I think i got the last one. They do seem to be readily available on eBay now here in AU at least.
@@waynosfotos That is quite limited. I guess it might depend on the demand in your region and the supply to resellers. I can see plenty of stock online on amazon and ebay so if you are in a rush that could be an option.
Actually you can set it to auto ISO in video mode. I usually shoot my video in manual mode and set my iso anywhere from 100-800. However if you want you can go into auto ISO, just slide left until it shows the auto option.

You are very welcome. Glad it helped out. Thanks for watching!
Very great video, this was super helpful for me to understand the features!
Thanks so much. Glad it was helpful!
This is by far the most helpful guide to the Canon R . Watched all of it and don't have the camera yet. Currently using Canon 5D mark 4 .
Thanks 🙏 Glad you liked the video! I upgraded from the 5D mark III. Been loving the EOS R especially for video and the autofocus is 👌
Thank you for making this video helped me a lot!
You're most welcome. Great to hear that!
Great walk through! I was having a helluva time just getting into the video menu system! The Mode/Info combo was GREAT!!
Great to hear that it was helpful!
Wow you're no bullshit way of explaining is so much appreciated, thanks so much! Definitely make more videos
Thanks, appreciate the feedback. Will keep them coming! Cheers!
Great overview, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Can you use the electronic shutter for video ?
You can also set the main release button to start and stop recording, rather than the tiny red one.
hey does the shutter on the eos r during video Able to do low shutter like 1/10? like on Sony cameras. I can't find an answer anywhere

thanks a lot, helped a lot to advance my testing of A/V features with my R.
Great to hear! Cheers!
Hi, how I can use exposure comp when filming in M , Thanks
It won't come up in manual mode, you have to use either the aperture, shutter or ISO to adjust. You only get exposure comp in the auto modes.
you can set iso auto at M video mode
SOOOOO well done my friend👌🏾
Thanks so much. Greatly appreciated! 🙂
Are you getting Canon EOS R5. That camera brings some crazy specs but will be expensive 😁

You’re welcome. Yes they could definitely improve on that. I think we may see some improvement in 4K capability in the mark II when it comes out.....
I agree 4k is a bit of a let down. I am quite happy with the video I get out of 1080p mode, however.

Touch Technology Review Well my Local camera shop said that the Canon rep said they are only getting in 2 a month!!!! So that info conflicts.
