As a first-year college student who has been watching Amoeba Sisters for years... I just want to say thank you. You guys have turned science from a scary, unapproachable topic to something that I actually really enjoy now. I used to feel like science was too hard and that I wasn't capable of doing it beyond high school, but now I'm a biology major at one of the top schools in the midwest. And I'm still watching your videos to help me study. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I really wish you guys had biochemistry and organic chemistry videos. You seriously saved me back when I took general biology my freshmen year. Appreciate all the work you put into these videos. Currently taking biochem and this video actually helps with what we're reviewing in class now.
I was reviewing for my biology exam and wow am I glad I ran into this video. It follows the same basic information of my notes, but the illustrations make it much more comprehensible and memorable. Thank you!
almost 50 years old in A&P 1 and this is what helps me survive quizzes and tests. I can't thank you enough. I started watching this with my daughter for science class... and well, here I am.
Here I sit, a 16 year old AP Bio student, watching a pair of brightly colored animated amoebas explain to me something I should have paid attention to back in September.
XD I'm actually doing the opposite. My teacher uses these videos to teach half the time. So I multitask and watch these videos when I'm eating meals to learn all this stuff before the teacher teaches it.
PhD Student and I always go back to your helpful videos. Being following you since High school and your videos always help me to review concepts! Thank you so much!
Everything about this video is super helpful! The animations, the explanations, and even the voice, as weird as that sounds, but the narrator sounds so enthusiastic that it helps to pay attention and actually retain the information, rather than a monotone robotic bio teacher. THANK YOU!!!
I have an honors human anatomy/physiology exam tomorrow, this is helping a lot!! I love how you mention the way that shape effects function and have so many visuals, THANK YOU
Pre-med Biology Student here and these videos are so insightful. The pictures are a brilliant touch I find myself memorizing the info and retaining it better.
Genuinely amazing breakdown, managed to explain a totally indecipherable 1 hour lecture (even with the assistance of other students' notes) in under 8 minutes
Two ideas for videos: 1) intro to basics of physics and chemistry for high schoolers who have gaps in their backgrounds (atoms, bonds, molecules, electrons) 2) study skills for biology class Thanks for everything!!!
This animation helps with good understanding and keeping the information and lesson in the memory. I wish our schools would reconsider the way they deliver lessons.
I read a bunch of articles and journal and understands almost nothing about it. And I understand a lot of things just by watching 7 minute 45 seconds video. This video helping me a lot with my upcoming research
Amoeba sisters, thank you so so so much for all your videos, the animations coupled with clear narration and ingenious way of explaining things, make learning biology FUN! I really cannot thank you guys enough. Continue your great work !
You have no idea how helpful your videos are for me understanding the concepts of my college biology class. Thank you so much. It being online makes it so much harder and seeing these things being animated and told about in these ways really helps it stick to my brain and allow me to understand it more. So thanks! You girls are a lifesaver!
Thank you! I remember getting confused when I learned this in HS and the textbook I have now in college didn't explain it well at all. This made so much sense!
I came to this video to see if I could I understand wtf those squiggly shapes are on chemical compounds on Wikipedia. I think I learned some new things, so thanks for this easily understandable video for an outsider to the chemical domain who has very basic knowledge of chemistry.
AWESOME WORK! This is really helpful! I'm a master student struggling with this adult life and having a fun way of learning is always appreciated, thank you!!!
I was searching for something more complex, but your video, I must confess, has made my day with those funny animations. Big support to continue your work like this 😄
i didnt really like science but ever since i found you girls on youtube i love Science and its the best at explaining thing to me without the confusion and the pictures are funny i love it thanks Amoeba Sisters
Wow! Amazing videos on your channel. I am a Turkish student attending to a German school here in Turkey, yet I still learn by watching your videos in another language. Very helpful and nicely animated. Thank you! Keep up your great work!
I have been using the Folding @ Home program on the PS3 long ago (it was fun while it lasted, though...), and that got me intrigued about protein folding. Now this video made more sense and gave me enough resolve to want to contribute more to protein folding. Thank you, Amoeba Sisters! You just earned yourselves another subscriber. :D
Amazing! This topic has been very abstract and intimidating but after watching this, not only do I understand better , I actually found it rather interesting and fun! Where have you guys been all my life!!!! Great job !
Itsss soooo damn cool n easy to understand rather than boring pdfs and sheets.. THAAANNKKK YOUUUUU... KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍
thank you for being the goats of biology content, I only wish some of these videos would go a little more in depth into the topics but definitely always a good help
Thanks a lot, l was so confused about the different structures of protein from my lectures, but when l watched your videos was so easy and clear to understand, you did help me with my study
если вы ищите тот самый русский коммент здесь,то это он) очень информативное видео для более понятного и целостного обобщения большое спасибо проекту и составителям thanks a lot for your unbelievable work!
Omg you're the best science channel I've ever seen .. not only making learning interesting and easy but also you got cute little drawings here and there .. I am really glad that this is a think .. much love ❤❤ .. keep up the amazing work 🤩
Oh thank you! My teacher is so bad, he didn't even explain the 2nd struct, and mainly the folded sheet which is definetely not clear from the image he put *just looks like an helix with arrows lol). Didn't show any zig-zags. This is much clearer.
lmao, here i am, a university student still watching these videos all the way from grade 9 😂😂 Channels like these are gonna be the reason why i get my medical degree
it's crazy how I watched this video when I was a freshman in college taking my first bio course and this video helped me a lot and now that I'm in biochemistry and it's not even helping because it's not in-depth enough
I just want to know what this protein folding is because there are programms to use on your home PC to help fighting corona and other diseases. Very nice video, I love it when people add animations to make it more understandable for dummies like me. 😅 Stay healthy everyone.
