- It's my first time sailing with MSC! In today's cruise vlog we are boarding the MSC Seashore right before Hurricane Milton comes into Florida. I give a room tour, ship tour, and dance the nerves away at the sail away party! We are a little scared about this hurricane but apparently we will be safer at sea.

As much as we make light out of this situation everyone reading this please be safe. If you are told to evacuate, please evacuate. These hurricanes have been devastating recently and it saddens me to see all the damage it’s caused. My last Disney cruise vlog will still come out at a later date!

Seriously, If you make port before Milton passes please be safe and hunker down. Don't try to drive into the storm going back to Orlando. Stay the night in Port Canaveral. Have fun. BE SAFE!

Wow, a cruise with so many friends is a true core memory being made!! Look at Matt making a bold wager right off the bat - I feel I have to back him up, I don't think they'll chance docking - safety for the ship & the port staff. Have a blast!!

I think you guys are going to stay out to sea until Friday. It won't be safe to dock according to today's reports. So maybe prepare to enjoy one more sea day. Be safe and pray for everyone in Florida, especially those on the west coast.

Don’t forget They closed Port Canaveral for hurricane Helene. Ships came in the next day, Hurricane Milton is supposed to be a lot stronger. And it’ll be in the Orlando area that morning that you come I’m betting they close it.

Based on the news, I know who will win that bet. Looks like at 8 AM Thursday it should be around Orlando as a Cat 2 based on what I just saw on CNN. Stay safe. However I think you are probably safer there than at home.
Whoever said being on a cruise is safe during a hurricane is wrong. My first two cruises were in October years ago and both involved hurricanes 1 year apart. The first cruise was the worst though. We left from the same port and literally went through it. The ship was at an angle and there was damage. It was so scary. Even the employees were scared. The second one just involved a little rocky of water as it wasn’t near the storm. It took me literally 10 years to go again and NOT during hurricane season. Never again during that time.

Hey JoJo glad to see you guys are all safe getting away from the hurricane on this cruise I just recently did a group cruise on the seashore our group definitely made the cruise I thought the food was mid at best most nights lol but if yall can make it to the hibachi that was by far the best and so fun ! yall are gonna have a blast enjoyyy 🫶🏽

HURRICANE MILTON UPDATE - October 8, 2024 -

We are continuing to monitor the path of Hurricane Milton, as it makes its way across the Gulf of Mexico towards the west coast of Florida. Due to forecasted weather conditions and always keeping the safety of our guests and crew members as our top priority, itinerary changes will be made in order to maintain a safe distance from Milton's path.
Port Canaveral - MSC Seashore
• Departure Sunday, 10/6/2024 - This sailing departed, on a 4-Night itinerary, visiting Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, and Nassau, Bahamas as originally scheduled. Port Canaveral will be closed Thursday, 10/10. The return to Port Canaveral will be dependent on the reopening of the port and clearance provided by the U.S. Coast Guard, which we currently anticipate on Friday, 10/11, time to be determined. We are in communication with the port and will continue to provide updates
• Departure Thursday, 10/10/2024 - This sailing is now anticipated to depart on Friday, 10/11 for a 2-Night itinerary visiting Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. Port Canaveral will be closed on Thursday, 10/10. Guest embarkation times and the ship's departure time on 10/11 will be determined based on the reopening of Port Canaveral. For more detailed information, please refer to the communication shared by MSC Cruises and your travel advisor.
