Bloody decent kit there, mate. May I just add 1 addition - a sponge or pot scrubber. These are now part of the Aussie Army Rations Accessories Packs.

  • @meoka2368

That leather circle at the end is probably the most unexpected part of the kit. I like it.

Eating is one of the greatest pleasures in life. Dont half ass it. Love the spice box.

Oh yeh! Everything you really need. A good chef can cook anything in a kitchen...a great chef can cook on a hot rock! Jody Rocks!!! I am so pleased that you honor your instructors and their ideas! I have seen you do that many times... giving credit! When we move ego out of the way, we all learn more! Just want you to know someone notices that generosity of spirit that lives in you! Thank you for sharing!!!

Went to my local State Store for a couple of bottles of Four Queens the selves were empty! They said some Coal cracking guy came in and bought it all. Thanks Buddy!!

I brought a 9 inch skillet, a cup and a spork on my last trip. My dream cook kit would probably add a Dutch oven and a tea kettle.

  • @coydog6665

I cut a small piece of wood to the diameter of my bag, gives a solid bottom and a cutting board. I will now have to cut a piece leather to that same diameter (pot holder, strop, etc)

If you are JUST starting out in this world of outdoor camping and want a nice starter kit, look into the GSI Haulite MicroDualist eating system. It has almost everything you need for your camp kitchen.

  • @giantskunk

A fluffed out cotton ball or a bit of flax tow in the spice kit will keep the bottles from rattling around (or breaking!). Nice kit!

  • @danielkutcher5704

I am definitely adding a leather pot holder to my kit. I already have a thin aluminum disposable pie tin cutout on the bottom of my cookset bag to shield picnic tables from my alcohol stove, so a piece of leather for insulation from cold surfaces would help while cooking as well as doubling as a pot holder (I removed the handles from my titanium pot to save weight on long hikes), and I don't need to carry a pair of leather gloves in the summer.

Another great video showing how to make life easier in Bush craft land. Can't wait to start hiking.

I have one of those old Boy Scout cook kits, those things are great and are practically indestructible.

Jody's ball bag 😂😂!! Jody is the gourmet chef of the woods, the stuff he made up at the wild edibles class was excellent. Please tell him hi from me.Those Coalcracker Bushcraft bags are awesome, I have 3 with different kits I made up. I definitely like this cooking kit such a great idea. Another awesome video as always brother 👍 💪
