But yeah DSP drops the hyped game of the year even though it got more in tips than LAD because reasons and then he got mad and yelled at his chat for daring to ask him to reconsider like the entitled beggar he is.

Man, DSP is so fake with these hype day 1 streams. Spending the whole prologue of the game singing, making poop jokes, literally going clown mode. Anyone who isn’t a dent can sense the fake a mile away, or at least be annoyed to hell and back. Nothing will make someone click off your stream faster.
Expectation of cash donation with day one views. Causes giddiness and clown mode. Could be pavlovian learned behavior did it during starfield too.

In Cloud’s retelling of the Nibelheim event, I love that Cloud’s wearing Zack’s SOLDIER armor and is much more lighthearted and upbeat than Cloud’s usual stoic seriousness; that and the zoom-in on one Shinra soldier in particular... It subtly coveys that what you see here may not be the entire truth.

This man has never genuinely enjoyed any game he played. Him rarely finishing any of them is proof of that. He does not bother getting invested because video games are a way to make money and nothing more. He's technically always feeling the burnout.

There's Dragon's Dogma 2 competing with that, plus the Paper Mario TTYD remaster. On top of that, Helldivers 2 and the Stellar Blade demo are kind of blowing rebirth out of the water. Full game for SB may very well be this decade's Bayonetta in gameplay alone, and Shift Up are no slouches when it comes to writing.
Hearing him speculate about the story of final fantasy 7 offends me.

HOW IS THIS 3 HOURS AND HE DIDNT EVEN GET PAST JUNON
After getting the platinum I was excited to see this, since I figured there would be some solid rage moments from later summon fights and story bosses. Then disappointment set in once I saw the video was halfway done and only at Junon, and I realized he wage quit the game.
Also, I think my favorite example of him calling something a "puzzle" was Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom. Literally the most straightforward fight in the game but he calls it a "puzzle boss" because for once in the game he can't just mash buttons and spam healing items since Ganon deletes your hearts when he hits you.
Personally I think the best example of “Puzzle boss” excuse from Phil has to come from RE2R with Birkin 2. Like its a tough fight… but the rules are so easy that he spent a good 40 minutes failing
He even plays Queen's Blood without any strategy. He just wants to place cards down and win.

I was wondering why KingDDDuke's video on Rebirth was so short and a lot of it seemed to be just the Queen's Blood game. Now I know it's because he quit before he got even halfway through the game.

I won't lie, Queen's Blood also ticked me off, but I also realized I had to learn every mechanic with it since I was doing them as they unlocked instead of later.
So due to RPG burnout he's playing 2 RPGs instead of finishing FF7Rebirth (ARPGs are still RPGs DSP). Makes sense to me. Great video btw, as usual!

You know what's really sad is (and I say this unironically) is that even though I laughed at him at say 2016 tihydp of dark souls 3 I still enjoyed the playthrough. I didn't hate the guys guts.
Recently I've been playing through every Yakuza game to finish up before I do 8 and once I got to 5 I was watching his playthrough of 4. He acts like a complete normal person and it's an enjoyable normal playthrough.
Same thing with 5 as I'm playing 6. And even the same with 0. Yes he's kinda dumb at some points but he's still a normal person.
Once Kat entered the scene in 2018 he changed into this weird version of himself where he repressed aspects of his personality.
And from the on into 2019 he got more antagonistic and increased his gaslighting which he never really did before in regular.
2020 is the time we know he got all that money from the vest streak and I think with his weird white knight personality trait for khet and his ever consuming alcohol consumption plus gambling it started him down the path we see today.
There's nothing enjoyable about anything he does now. All he does is gaslight and insult either the game or the person watching or even the devs.
He has obviously lost the plot especially since he was revealed in the interview with Craig.
His alcohol abuse plus his decreasing mental health and rampant narcissism has really made it very apparent that his playthrough won't have that fun lolcow atmosphere of 2017 Phil ever again.
He's getting more and more neurotic and narcissistic. Who the hell would drop one of the biggest releases of the past 5 years???
And what's sad is I see his actions n behavior as a narcicisst in my own father who is very similar to Phil and is a narcissist himself.
His mental health has declined because he refuses to take care of himself and just like Phil blames everyone else for his problems.
His go to coping mechanism is to try to gaslight everyone and everything.
Anyway I don't even know why I'm writing this. I guess I'm sad because to a certain degree I did enjoy Phil's struggle to be bad at games but then overcome them and it was an overall enjoyable experience.
Now it's just pain and misery and hatred and gaslighting and mental degradation.
Also I can't forget Phil because I have to help take care of my own Phil in my own life at home in my father. I'm literally reminded of him every day haha.

DSP claims that there was too many RPGs at the time and now the game is on ice because nobody showed up and supported it. Even though his Like A Dragon game streams were poorly supported and attended he beat that game.
Simple answer. The dents weren’t throwing money at him during it.

I'm just glad he's on the "RPG burnout" excuse, because that means he'll completely fly over Unicorn Overlord. The game is great, VanillaWare doesn't miss, and I'd probably call in a "bo mb thr eat" to his house if he crapped all over it. You know he wouldn't pay attention, he'd mald over Kamitami's incredible art design and how women are very attractive, and he'd get his ass handed to him for improper unit compositions.
(Kamitami is the same guy who gave us The Sorceress and Amazon in Dragon's Crown.)

The only fights I'm actually having a hard time with is Odin cause he fights like a bitch and two fghts within chads thing, but that's just cause of the requirements to beat the stage and not cause the enemies themselves are hard.

The Mindflayer "out of nowhere instakills your whole party" - the monster literally was channeling its attack for several seconds, and if he read the Assess information he would know that he needs to pressure the monster by using Synergy Attacks...
"Lock on screws up" - maybe if you didn't move the thumbsticks the target wouldn't change...
As to why he sent this game to the ban world and not yakuza 8, it's because he's getting destroyed in this game...
People want variety - that is why he sent Tekken 8 away...blaming RPG overload when he decided to play BG3 in december (well knowing that more rpgs were getting released) rather than in september/october...
I also love how he talks about people "derailing the chat"...

christ if he's complaining about the npcs having these weak ass cards in chap1-2, he's gonna flip the fuck out when he plays against the npcs on the boat trip and beyond. Even though they themselves aren't that insane but there's usually 1 that'll stump you for a few rounds till you get the hand you need. But given phil he's not gonna rearrange his deck with most of his cards being situational.
