That's because this is the way these losers operate, and they are losers. They are fragile narcissists. Their whole entire worldview and mode of being, that they DON'T tell you, is they are only happy if everyone else is failing too, preferably harder than you are. This is especially popular with women that are trying to gaslight feeble males to fucking them and giving them money while quite tellingly getting really upset if anyone is less heavy than them. This is because they are using you to look less fat than you, meanwhile they are too lazy, arrogant, narcissistic, selfish, and undisciplined and unmotivated to put in the work themselves.
I've known plenty of people like this in other areas, such as drunks. Some alcoholics can't stand to see people get better. Not even be sober, just try drinking less. Or using less of other drugs than they are. This is because they have no interest in ever helping themselves, so they want to SEE YOU FAIL so they feel less bad about themselves. Because simply seeing ANYBODY else be happy or healthy or successful at anything makes them feel bad in comparison. That's why it is seen as a personal attack. It is because she's so self absorbed and lazy and selfish she sees anyone else as nothing but a reflection of her own failings. As someone that put in work to try and better myself I have no fucking sympathy dude. Let other people escape the pot you retarded ass lazy fat crab.

Whose responsibility is it to control your own health? What i see is a group of people who know exactly what they need to do but just don't want to put in the hard work. I was at one point 100lbs overweight and needed multiple surgeries due to being born with dislocated hips. I HAD to lose the weight or be wheelchair bound. Did I want to give up all the food. Hell no! I decided my own health was more important than any food and I took control and changed my life. NO ONE else was going to do that but me. I had knees and hips replaced and my life is so much better. It's been 20 years and I've never looked back. Yes, at times it's hard but life is not easy. I've exercised my whole life even with my disability. If I can do it there are no excuses. Period!

I'm glad they brought up anti fat acceptance RUclips videos. Because honestly, those videos & videos like this one saved my life. I used to be a disability studies academic and public health activist. I worked mostly in education outreach for juvenile hospital patients. But at the time, fat studies was just getting its start & it was mostly in disability studies... eventually fat studies
At the start, every woman could relate to feeling "fat." But fat activists and scholars would challenge the privilege of "straight sized people." One woman told me that the dining chairs in my apartment weren't welcoming and violent. Fat people couldn't sit in them. Im still not sure why
Another time, an older superior scholar wanted to talk about how size can "align you with whiteness." And how being a thin black person was way easier than being a bigger black person bc it was a version of black people that "white people could accept."
Mind you, I was NOT thin. I'm just on the shorter side. Most people wouldn't call someone with a 26in waist "fat." I get that. But at 4'10, i still had a high BMI. But i couldn't talk about it
And this tenured professor starts talking about my white boyfriend. He had literally slapped me across the face just hours before but there we were, talking about how certain bodies were treated better because they were smaller. And i wasn't in a place to explain that I wasn't smaller & I absolutely wasnt being treated better. After a while, everything just becomes this bubble and echo chamber.
I still worked in disability studies and was around fat activists i considered friends. They were my friends. But then I started getting recommended anti fat acceptance videos. Again, I worked with disability and fat acceptance so from my perspective, it was the only thing that challenged the status quo.
And I just realized that none of my friends cared about whether or not i was "fat." All that mattered was that i was smaller than them. They didn't really care ab😮out my white boyfriend being abusive either. As long as they could use us to prove some point about interracial relationships & "eurocentric beauty standards," it was fine. Health just didn't matter. They wern't even there for me when I broke up with my boyfriend. Not even a little bit. Leaving him meant leaving or challenging every paper, conference, and round table we'd had. And they were mad at me for disrupting that.
This is a long comment and this was quite a few years ago. But anti fat acceptance was the first things that really shook the echo chamber I was in. And it made me realize i needed a new industry with better friends and coworkers

Why isn’t there an average positivity movement? Most of the people that are a part of the body positivity movement seem to be obese. I would rather see people (men and women) with average heights and weights at different sizes and heights and ages modeled so I can see some semblance of what I can expect to look like after or near when I am done with my weight loss.

    • @Cashhhhew
      @Cashhhhew 7 месяцев назад +1

Idk about men but I do follow a lot of mid-size women and “medium” “average” sized women in the fashion space. I’ve since lost enough weight to no longer personally be in that category but when I was it was so helpful for styling and feeling good because I could see someone else with my build and how they best styled their curves. Those women get attacked constantly in the comments because in the eyes of FA they’re “skinny” or “straight sized” when we all know that average is very different from the 00-4 models we see in traditional fashion. These women were mainly size 6-10 with curves, some belly, thicker thighs etc. FA people get mad at them for even daring to complain about feeling bigger even though they ARE bigger than the standard “ideal”. so exhausting lol. All of that is to say I’m glad there are some and I agree that more need to chime in! It’s really comforting to see someone with your exact build on the same journey.

So late here, I just ran into the TikToks last night and your video today. This was horrendous, especially the people commenting about her medications and how they suppress appetite (SSRI's, also not consistently true). I really related to her. As I have lost weight, everyone has an opinion. Whether I shouldn't lose more weight (I am still 15-20 pounds overweight), or I am not lifting weights enough (I work full time and I have a 14 month old, she is the priority, I am active with her), or I need to eat whatever they suggest. People have become more critical, and as I began appearing the same size or smaller than friends who also wish to lose weight, some people have become less kind. I'm not in a competition with anybody. This isn't about anybody but myself and being able to chase my daughter and hopefully live a longer, healthier life.

It’s not always about fatness or losing weight or being some ridiculous label. Am I currently working on doing things that make me feel better and more comfortable in my own skin? Yep. A side effect just happens to be that I’ve dropped a few pounds.

If they truly believed that people can not lose weight, they should not be that butthurt when other people declare they are embarking on a weight loss journey, would they? If they truly believed it's impossible they would have the reaction of someone engaged in an excercise of futility, to which one perhaps at most sigh and raise a curious eyebrow. The wrath yhey display show that not only believe it is actually possible, but that they also are extremely selfcentred in feeling threathened by it.

  • @tinaallen5263

It is unhinged. I also agree that it probably stems from insecurity and jealousy. The belief that losing weight is impossible is silly. Most people can lose weight. I’ve lost 105 lbs in the past few years and, like her, it wasn’t even intentional for the first several years. I started making healthier choices and it just happened. Seeing and feeling huge changes motivated me to do it intentionally. The FA community dismisses all of the health benefits. Saying it’s ableist to worry about your own freaking health is nuts.
I believe a lot of their beliefs also stem from a victim mentality. I used to believe that most straight sized people were just lucky and didn’t have to work for it. Eventually I started to think that any form of discipline with food was an eating disorder. Like you said, it’s easy to fall into the FA community when you’ve been othered your entire life. It takes the blame off of you and offers community. In the end, the benefits aren’t worth the cost…in my opinion. :)

Could you maybe do a video with a deeper explanation about when and where it went wrong with the movement? Or could someone in the comments maybe explain it to me? I’m not from the states and it all seems so weird.
I thought that HEAS was about proper healthcare, for every size? Not the constant gaslighting by doctors. If you are losing weight without intention that they do blood work, if you have skin issues you get a referral to a dermatologist.
And I thought that body positivity was about skin marks, stretch marks, freckles and bloating ect. Just be kind to a different body than the ones in magazines.
I’ve seen so many videos lately and when I google I get the weirdest shit…
