"The Force Will Be With You, Always" - An ASMR Star Wars Role Play

  • It wasn't originally in my plans to make this role play, but in the past few weeks things have happened in my personal life that had me wishing for an ASMR video that was more serious and had deeper meaning. So I made one for you:) It's not nearly as epic as some of my other role plays, but it has a lot of meaning for me. Not only for my love of Star Wars, but also for the message I'm conveying. Even though this video is far from perfect, I hope its atmosphere and words give you peace and comfort. Remember, the Force will be with you, Always ♥
    The costume and character was inspired by Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and her apprentice Bariss Offee. I loved the look of their tattoos, unique clothing and personalities. Also a cool little fact, while doing research for this video I discovered there really were Jedi healers in the Star Wars universe (however no longer considered "canon")
    I wanted to experiment with some music in this video as well. Adding music to my videos isn't something I'm going to do often, but I was recently comforted by soothing music in an ASMR video so I wanted to try it. Let me know if it added to your experience.
    These are the songs that were used in this video. They're all by the same artist named Spheriá under a Creative Commons License.

    I'm not the best explainer in text, so keep this in mind plz.
    why this video is great.
    1. it's emotional and personal.
    because it focuses on a story of a character, it makes what you are saying more personal, allowing better immersion. This is further aided by the story not being too in depth, allowing easier projection in this character and putting us in them.
    2. you didnt stutter, ever. It makes you seem more real here, well your character it is.
    the character knows what's going on.
    3. the music conveys mood perfectly. like damn.
    4. most important.
    you didn't rush your lines, making the video seem natural and flowing. even when most asmr videos talk slowly, they still do it with a heavy since of urgency. Like "I have to talk slowly, but I gotta do this action in X minutes"
    none of that here.
    caus of that, I got mad asmr.
    truely, congrats.
    this video is neigh perfect to me.

    The reality that we all are prone to Anakins downfall is eye opening. Once a man is convinced that he has to do anything to protect the one who is his peace there is nothing that can stop him. It’s scary because our anxiety and paranoia can make us so scary things maybe not killing younglings but we as humans irl can do many things out of fear including ruin relationships

  • @Jemini4228
    @Jemini4228 7 лет назад +97

    This has become one of my fave asmr vids. You have a really relaxing voice and The music is pretty and gentle enough that it isn't distracting and it adds to the atmosphere. The flashback may be a bit loud for some but it helps draw you in to the story and comes early enough that you can relax after. I also like that your character addresses the subject of mental health in the Jedi Order. In an organisation where natural negative emotions like fear and anger are treated as sinful, I imagine things like PTSD would have a stigma attached to them within the Order. You certainly show much more compassion for our character than Yoda does to Anakin in their consultation in Revenge of the Sith.
    Sequel please? :-)

    • @VanAnon51
      @VanAnon51 4 года назад +4

      Jenny Sweeney Agree with you, I do indeed. For one so wise, Yoda was also foolish in the manner he handled Anakin and his feelings. To shut off ones feelings and emotions is a path to the dark side because then the Jedi fail to learn how to understand their feelings. God, the One and True Force, gave us our emotions, not so we can be controlled or overwhelmed by them, not to shut them out, but so we may learn from them and utilize them, like a tool. We are living beings, not machines. The Gray Jedi knew this and embraced it, making them far more powerful than average Jedi, and far less reckless than the Sith, but rather more tame and wise.

    • @thatlonewolfguy2878
      @thatlonewolfguy2878 4 года назад +4

      Hence one of the biggest flaws of the Jedi, they're utterly dogmatic in their worldview and basically take the view of "any emotion at all can lead to the dark side" so they shut themselves off in an attempt to commune purely with the Light Side of the Force but in doing so they deny themselves the chance to explore the full mystery of the Force as a whole in both its separate yet equal parts, the Grey Jedi had it right all along (not to be confused with the ancient Je'daii, they were sort of the "radical centrists" of the Grey Jedi)

    After years, this video is still one I find myself returning to when I need peace of mind or a moment to ground myself. It's like revisiting an old friend at this point; familiar but it hasn't lost the sense of warmth and calming. I cannot thank you enough for the thought and care you put into it. Although it may seem silly, this video is something I've found comforts me everytime I watch it, and I don't know exactly why I always feel so much better after I watch it, but I can't tell you how thankful I am for it! So thank you again, even if this is a belated thank you.

    This is one of the best ASMR videos I've experienced. The music is definitely an acceptable plus for me and your setting and performance is, well...'out of this world.' I hope you continue to provide more "sessions" of this particular therapy. I feel that this approach (fictional therapy?) is beneficial in reality because, at least for me, perhaps my subconscious is more accepting of positive suggestions because my conscious is less defensive as it would be if this were "real." Also, I love Star Wars. Great job and I look forward to more of your awesomeness! :-)

    After watching this video it makes me so glad that the Mandalorian is starting to bring back the concept of Jedi Healers. Basically Jedi that are capable of healing most physical wounds and perhaps being adeptly trained in the healing of mental and psychological damage and trauma as well.

    That was amazing. Beautifully deep and meaningful in Star Wars universe and in ours as well. While my eyes were closed around the feel the Force surround you part it was like I was in the ocean, I always thought the Force would be like an ocean if given a physical form.

    Absolutely great script. It feels as if you've rehersed the part extensively and that leaves you free to focus on the feeling, rather than the content. An incredibly good ASMR video. On my Top 5.

    This is an outstanding RP. I love finding new ways of looking at the Star Wars universe, especially aspects of the Force, and this certainly delivers. I haven't really tried meditation before, but I could swear it almost felt like there really was some sort of mystical energy field surrounding everything. Pretty awesome.
    Needless to say, you've earned yourself a subscriber.

    This is really soothing and calming, and a really good asmr clip. I admit I'm more of a grey jedi than a Jedi, but still, this is rather soothing to me.

    I must ask....what are the names of the two songs used during the middle and the end? At 9:30 and 16:04....they were amazing, and fit amazingly well with your jedi healer roleplay, you opened up a whole new way of looking at the jedi in star wars for me. I say, you were spot on as a jedi healer, but sith's don't actually heal the way you say they do. They use their anger, hate, and aggression, but they need not hurt others just to heal. Instead, this let's them bend the force to their will, instead of letting it flow naturally. Sith's use what I had mentioned to heal themselves rapidly, instead of taking the time to heal. But to rapidly heal the way they do, is like an all consuming fire that engulfs their bodies. It heals them, but they're in constant pain during the process, which feeds their rage and makes them more lethal and aggressive against their opponents. In a way, it makes them more effective in combat, the pain sustains them, therefore they are more strong willed.
    So to sum it up:
    Jedi form of healing is meditation, the process of realizing their pain and letting it go into the force, allowing it to naturally heal them. The process is enlightening and transcending, for it allows you to further become one with the force. To not let your feelings of hurt and pain guide you, but to allow peace, compassion, serenity, and natural energy of the force guide you, but it takes time. Sometimes days, months, even years to heal the scars.
    Sith form of healing is to embrace the pain as it heals you. To turn what would be a weakness into strength, which allows them to draw from the force, and fuel their power at the same time. The scars will remain, but they are a testament to your strength and will to live. Only the weak shy away from pain, like children afraid of the breaching of a vaccine shot. Accept the pain, realize it as a reality, and embrace it along with all other emotions.
    So to you ASMR, and all who read this, which do you prefer?

      It depends. If it were needed immediately I'd use the Sith way but, I'd always go back to the Jedi way. Why limit yourself to one teaching?
