Great memories. My mother lived there in the Allen Market Apts. It was hectic during Mardi Gras. We shopped at Soulard and ate at Bogarts one weekend.
She's gone 😢 but thanks for the memories. ❤️

Great video and great music! Soulard was one of our favorite hangouts (especially Molly's) when we lived there between 1987 and 2001. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, we'll be back there in a few weeks to visit. Really looking forward to it!

It was a perfect day weather-wise. I'm glad you liked it.

Moved to St. Louis in 1992 and loved going to Soulard Market early on Saturday mornings. Back then every stall was occupied and the place was packed with customers. There was a tiny walk in pet store w cats, dogs & other animals. The more unusual items were frozen raccoons with the feet left on and a place that sold quail & duck eggs.

Yes, I remember the pet shop. It sells BBQ now. Sometimes there is a place selling live chickens and ducks.
