Am I wrong, the screen for the video looks like it is coming up out of the audience more than being dropped from the ceiling.

Yep, you're wrong. LOL
The screens were a part of a structure that was suspended way above the ground floor seats, at the beginning of the second half of the show it was lowered (the red flashing lights and warning horn heard at the very beginning of this video) then the screens unfurled from the structure. It was still a good ways above the heads of those seated on the floor.
