Searching the Horizon (poem by Cynthia Ciani Anderson, style: electronic, pop, synth)
I scan the distant tree line
from a window or a doorway
double check the date and hour
try a better view outside
peek between branches
of the spruce tree near the house
wait and wait for clouds to part
hoping this time I will see
a glowing moon rising in the east
or sinking slowly in the west.
