Hi dear Beverly. Very happy with Íris. When Phoenix passed away, the house felt so empty. Iris is a handful at this age, with new teeth poking out. She just completed 4 months. I have to keep an eye on her at all times and the only time I got distracted she shredded my Sophronitis cernua which was going to bloom better than ever 😬 oh well, it is all part of life 🥴 I hope you and your family are doing great and wish you a fabulous coming weekend 🌷💐💖🥰🥰😘

Hi dear friend Zaleha 💖 I am very happy to know your orchids are blooming and giving you much happiness!!! Here we are in fall but heading into winter. Temperatures are still mild but in a month or so, it will get much cooler. What bothers me the most is that days are getting shorter and by December we will have days only 9 hours long. Still, some orchids will bloom to brighten up my days. Thank you my dear for being so kind to me and I hope you are having a great week 💐🌷💖💖💖

Unlike the other dogs I had previously she likes to chew on plants and I have to keep and eye on her. Unfortunately, yesterday I got distracted and she grabbed my Cattleya cernua on a mount and when I noticed my lovely orchid was shredded to pieces 😢 It was my mistake and the price to pay was very high. My cernua was doing so well, with 7 or 8 new growths. I managed to save 4 small pieces, fingers crossed they will survive. No Íris fault, I should have been more careful, she is just a baby. ❤🐾 ❤ for Phoenix and ❤🐾 for Iris 🥰 i had a taste of your conditions a couple of days ago. It was nice for the orchids. One day of sun today and then supposedly back to storms here as well. I am so happy to see the nobile blooms. My cymbidiums are also groeing spikes but they are not as advanced as your's. I am waiting to see what tiny bloom i get from my kingianum this year. Your's is spectacular. I think i have a bud trying to form on Golden Boy. Its looking weird, but for the first time there is something trying to be a 'big girl' 😊 thank you for this,wonderful video! Thank YOU, amiga mia 💕💕💕 I don't know if I will have a good Cymbidium season this year. Of course it is still early but I made a lot of messing about with them. The 4 spikes I have are coming from the same plant and I already feel happy because that one plant did not look that good when I planted it on the ground. Iris is doing well but she loves to nibble and chew on my plants which is very annoying. I have to keep a close eye on her at all times. Yesterday, however, I got distracted and she grabbed my cernua. When I noticed it, it was already shredded to pieces 😢 I managed to salvage 4 small pieces of what was a large gorgeous plant with 8 new growths about to bloom. Fingers crossed what was left of the cernua can make it. I could hit myself because since she came I have been watching her every minute except on that moment when I was hose washing a carpet She had peed on. Just before, I had taken out the cernua together with the twinkles to get the rain but it stopped and I forgot about it. And of all three Íris had to choose my favourite 🥺🥺🥺🥺 We had another lousy day today, it rained till 8 PM. We went to Lisbon to the dentist today for regular check up and took Iris with us. It was cold 15 C during the whole morning but at dark it was warmish, 20 C. I have another family lunch on Nov 11th (my husband's side of the family this time) and it would be nice if temperatures would stay nice till then. Having to bring all orchids indoors before, would not be convenient for shortning the space, but it may have to happen. Have a restful evening 😘😘😘😘
Hello Fernanda and thank you for the video. You're weather is virtually what we get for 10 months per year!!!. You're Dens are looking very healthy although, like we all get, bugs do spoil the looks of the plants. My plants have dwindled over the past two years but at the moment they are looking as though they are finally waking up. Há cães que gostam muito de fruta e até de legumes mas a Iris prefere as maçãs. Tive um cão que também gostava de cenoura mas esta por enquanto não gosta. Talvez depois de lhe nascerem os dentes definitivos 😄

Looks the weather we've had here for months now but now it still rains and is very windy but COLD too! Congrats with your new bay girl. She will certainly keep you fiscally and mentally healthy. Dendrobiums are looking good, even with some caterpillar damage.
Hi Marc, thank you. My other Dendrobium are winter resters. For me they have the advantage of growing outdoors all year round. Yes, Íris will give me many happy moments. She already is a sweety although I have to keep and eye on her at all times. Unlike other dogs I had previously, Íris loves to chew on my plants. She has a lot to learn 😊❤

Upon my vet's instructions, I started feeding her extra with canned green beans (vagens?) and it worked after a while. Suppository, it has something to do with the digestive system of some dogs and helps with digestion. Maybe worth to try. It surely does not harm her. The down side of it was that she needed to urinate more often. It could also be that she is changing teeth at the moment and chewing helps with the itching. Any way, I hope it'll stop soon, before you run out of orchids and other plants, some of which might be very poisonous for her, even some orchids are.
@@TOEKIEWORLDMarc yes, she is changing teeth. I am giving her and apple and a carrot everyday. But I think she got used to chew on everything green with the breeder because the puppies were let free on a lawn with fruit trees. The puppies were biting leaves and fruits fallen on the ground. She is still a baby and I hope I can correct this nasty habit.

I don't know if your climate is similar but here, summers are completly dry and we are always in a situation of severe draught. I hope you get some rain too. Iris is being a handfull at the moment. We are still getting copious amounts of rain. It is much needed because it hadn't rained since early spring. However it is raining too much at the same time and in some areas there are floods and much damage by the wind. Sign of times 🥺 Yes, Íris is the working type. The so called beauty line is not really beautiful for me, their posture looks artificial and just by looking at them makes my back hurt 😅
Oh that rain is the same here. It always rain here 🙄. I mean, do I make it rain continuously where ever I go? Yeah I’ve come to that conclusion 😅 I love the color of the Kingianum. Such a pretty baby pink. I had 2-3 German Shepards all through out my childhood up to teenage years. My dad and his brother’s favorite breed. I had other smaller types of dogs too Fernanda. Now you know my family loves dogs. Oh the maintenance of them is a full day job. They are huge.
Hi Annie 🌷 Tropical climates, like yours, always have a lot of rain. Here in mediterranean influenced climates is a lot drier which is not exactly good. We have the whole summer without rain, that is from June to October. I like it because the sun seems to be my source of energy 😄 But I love to hear the sound of rain, I find it very relaxing. Furthermore it os much needed because we are always in a situation of severe draught. Rain never seems to be enough. Dogs are wonderful as long as they are educated and it takes them time to learn. When they get perfect, they have to leave us. Só sad, but such is life. Living is getting difficult my dear Annie, with conflicts everywhere. Even if we cannot do anything to change, it is hard to hear the news. Let's hope for better days. Much love to you dear Annie and a pleasant SUNday 🥰🥰😘🥰
Again, my condolences for Phoenix! Admittedly, the victoriae-reginae I got inspired by yours made me look into Dendrobiums more now. I got a hibiki at an orchid society meeting. Very curious. PS I'm so jealous of your ability to have your plants watered by rain. The rain here is so cold I would not dare haha PPS I've had this type of caterpillar on my coleus and they ate it almost completely

I'm sorry for your loss! But Iris is adorable! You are right, it's terrible what's being done with German shepards, and so many other breeds, ruining their health and function for a made up beauty standard. We also got a lot more caterpillars than usual this year, they had a feast with our herbs, especially the basil.

We are still getting copious amounts of rain. It is much needed because it hadn't rained since early spring. However it is raining too much at the same time and in some areas there are floods and much damage by the wind. Sign of times 🥺 Yes, Íris is the working type. The so called beauty line is not really beautiful for me, their posture looks artificial and just by looking at them makes my back hurt 😅
Oh that rain is the same here. It always rain here 🙄. I mean, do I make it rain continuously where ever I go? Yeah I’ve come to that conclusion 😅 I love the color of the Kingianum. Such a pretty baby pink.
I had 2-3 German Shepards all through out my childhood up to teenage years. My dad and his brother’s favorite breed. I had other smaller types of dogs too Fernanda. Now you know my family loves dogs. Oh the maintenance of them is a full day job. They are huge.
Hi Annie 🌷 Tropical climates, like yours, always have a lot of rain. Here in mediterranean influenced climates is a lot drier which is not exactly good. We have the whole summer without rain, that is from June to October. I like it because the sun seems to be my source of energy 😄 But I love to hear the sound of rain, I find it very relaxing. Furthermore it os much needed because we are always in a situation of severe draught. Rain never seems to be enough. Dogs are wonderful as long as they are educated and it takes them time to learn. When they get perfect, they have to leave us. Só sad, but such is life. Living is getting difficult my dear Annie, with conflicts everywhere. Even if we cannot do anything to change, it is hard to hear the news. Let's hope for better days. Much love to you dear Annie and a pleasant SUNday 🥰🥰😘🥰

Yes, Dendrobium have everything to be loved. And there is so much variety that we find one or more for every type of environment. Hibiki is a great choice and my only warm grower, for lack of space indoors. You will love the colour and the long blooming period. Have a great friday and a fabulous weekend 🌷🥰😍
I'm sorry for your loss! But Iris is adorable! You are right, it's terrible what's being done with German shepards, and so many other breeds, ruining their health and function for a made up beauty standard. We also got a lot more caterpillars than usual this year, they had a feast with our herbs, especially the basil.
