Sometimes foxes need human help with feeding.I feed 16 Wild Raccoons and 2 fox and 3possums for 18 years even when I'm sick.I leave food out for them on my property of 20 acres they never see me leave the food either.I also have 20 hummingbird feeders and 15 Blackoil sunflower seeds for regular birds too and I lost count how many bird houses are in trees to help squirrels and birds survive harsh winters in Michigan.I enjoy helping nature .I get so much in return from all animals.
May i say, that fox mom has a good eye for homes with demand. Just look at those pups little playground and that fancy wooden drapery around the entrance. Only the best for her little cubs :3
For everyone that is writing negative comments about feeding the babies...the den moved a few days after this video was filmed. I only gave them the small pieces of ham (as seen in the video) in an attempt to see them up close because they are such beautiful creatures. I did not touch them. After I filmed this video, I went into the house. When I went back the next day none of them were there and I never saw them again. 😢

Hope you are wrong about the skinning alive part. What would be the point to make the process so much more difficult than just euthanizing them to collect their fur hides? Of course I am decidedly against the cruel practice, either way, and also the hunting of these magnificent creatures that patrol the forests and keep rodents and rabbits, weasels, etc from getting out of control. Really wish there were no killing at all, but have no say in the matter of the law of "fang and claw."

Young fox kits that are fed are more vulnerable and may not be as aware of the dangers of over trusting in humans. Also if a fox kit is handled by a human and it's parents pick up on that human scent then it be rejected by it's own family out of distrust.

You should not go so close to the kitten. They are waiting for the mother to come with food. For the mother it is lot of stress. if she feels not save anymore at this cave she will move the cubs to another cave. Please inform yourself before you do such things.

I am assuming the mama had left the den to go hunting but came back. I saw her watching me in the distance towards the end of my visit.
