Artists are artists. Technicians are technicians. Fans are fans. Producers are out to make back their money. They always do. Artists can never make back their money, because the money was never their own. Artists must learn to stop chasing record sales, which the industry hides from them. Instead they should focus on building a loyal fan base based upon the quality of their productions. They should always know that we are here for them. So Sing Hallelujah Sing Hallelujah Sing Hallelujah To The Lord! Sing His Praise! Sing His Praise! Sing Hallelujah To The Lord!
I've been livin' this shit for over 30 years in the game and I didn't realize I was doing it until watching this video LOL. I was only doing deals if the idea could be heard before days end on Tuesday because by the next Monday I'd have to start over (which is not good). This is good content here
I totally understand why a record label will hold an artist hostage. You were a nobody when we signed you now that we have put you in different markets and make you likable now you think you did it all by yourself because you don’t see the strings that is being pulled in the background. The artist grows a big head 🤔 it was their effort.
I hope nobody finds this channel you're literally the best at giving us this information others just ramble on inspirationally but you give us game plans
Great info for new artists looking to sign. Does this apply for the DIY independant, should they plan and strategize around the way the rest of the industry is moving? Will radio DJ's/playlist curators/etc move the same way ( according to holidays, fiscal years, etc)?
This doesn't only apply to the industry, it applies to the fans also, especially the holidays and weekends.. Tuesday - Thursday people are coming home from school/work and are tired and just want to relax, and are more likeyly to spend more time on social media during those times versus on holidays and weekends they will be with friends and family and not paying as much attention to their social media.
Why does famous artist ignore new up coming artist? Why don’t they show them more love and be more open to them knowing they were at one point at the bottom too? Cause WEAK minded people can’t handle fame, so when they get a taste, they want the whole cake to themselves. Can’t handle it and get big headed. Of course this is a separate topic but just made me think of it
Every up in coming ARTIST should be SUB too this CHANNEL you might think you know everything but you can ALWAYS learn in if you don't know this is ok but know your going too NEED this is not like college
new sub - I'm trying my absolute best to be a independent rapper. How far down the line can you go to not get copyright strikes for independent rappers? i stopped making videos till i get a job and buy my equipment to make more/ original sound? witch I get. it makes no sense if I'm making a new genre that combines rap with sounds from all others genre's. I've never considered "being in the industry. " I've always been a lyricist messing around with sound. I've just don't like having that " person looking behind me. " I just want to know what to be careful, and completely original. I'm feel new to this. I've been playing around with sound and music for six years. started this channel last year. what videos should I watch on your channel to not just get started, but plan ahead, need to now, what assets/ allies that are available, does my music affect my gaming for my channel, etc. I'm so glad I found this channel before I had 100 subs. I don't even know what 64 checks is. thank you for your time, if you read, have a great day.
The guy on the thumbnail is on Tik Tok explaining that meme. He's gained a lot of weight & he's from the UK lol. Now I have to delete this from history before YT thinks I'm a new rapper now 🤣
Then at the end of the day you’re gonna have nothing else but the music, no money no fans no audience and no knowledge of how the game works. You don’t spend all your time creating Pepsi and then just throw it on the shelf for people to buy it there’s no one else who can sell your product better than you you should care about a lot more than the music especially because caring gets it to more people that puts more money in your pocket. Music stop speaking for itself like 10 years ago bro that’s an old way of how shit works
@@KinteNAtlanta that’s not how it works, if you look at most artists, they had someone in their corner to blow them up. Juice Wrld: lil Bibby, Lil Baby: young thug, Travis Scott: LA Reid, Drake: Weezy, Baby Keem: Kendrick, etc. All their stories they were related to someone or knew someone who can put the music infront of the right people. That’s when they start to pop off. The music is cool, but it needs to be in front of the right people to actually start moving seriously.
If they ignore us, there’s no problem. We’ll do it ourselves. 🎵🎤
